I relate to this experience! I’m a 59 year old female speaking coach and nomadic living creator and you popped up on my suggested videos. 😊 Keep going.
This video was recommended to me by RUclips, that's a good thing! I have 126,000 subscribers (not bragging) and it's not that great. You just gotta keep pushing forward. It's not easy.
I felt this. Sitting at 1,000 subs as well. Competition is high on this platform these days. Its been a grind to not only go and film a video, but then have to come back and edit the footage, create a thumbnail, be proud of the work and then post and have the video flop. It has been a mind game wether this is all worth it or not. That being said, I have grown a lot as a person since posting content. It has also been a great journey being a part of the community and meeting other great content creators because of this platform. Tyler, go all in brother!
LOVE this comment. That emphasis on personal growth + building community are spot on and will undoubtedly be drivers for my continued progress. Thanks for taking the time to share. Best of luck on your journey
I’ve just stumbled across your video, and man, this sounds so authentic and I am with you. I recently started my journey as a creator on RUclips and I know what you mean. Keep going man, you’ll smash it ❤
I went through something similar about a year ago. Stepped away from my corporate job and went all in on RUclips. It's been scary since RUclips doesn't pay the bills, but as far as personal growth it's totally worth it! Just make sure you are realistic about your finances and how long your savings will last, mine is going faster than planned. Have a backup plan for money as well, you don't want to end up homeless. But if you are feeling this way, the same way I felt, the go for it! Nice video.
Appreciate this video Tyler. Looking forward to more videos. Enjoy the journey, even the struggles, because the outcome fades quickly, but the memories and growth from the journey stay with you always ❤
Damian, sincerely appreciate the comment and insight. One unexpected benefit of releasing this video was to receive wisdom from creators like you who are ahead of me. Appreciate you, cheers.
Ah, the ups and downs of creative life - what a totally engaging and relatable video. As someone with only 725 subs, it definitely resonates with me. Love your perspective on failing (and turning it into winning). If this is video is anything to go by you are well on your way to having all the skills required. Looking forward to more, you have a new subscriber.
Hi 👋 Mom here with the advice you didn’t ask for: 1. Do you have kids or any debts you are responsible for? 2. If no, go for it. You have an obvious talent, commitment, and passion for it. 3. Plan for affiliations and sponsorships not just adsense. Plan your content with partnerships in mind. I’m on my own journey here and loving every minute (too many financial commitments at this point in my life to go all in but would if I was younger!) 4. Mom says you’re gonna make it. You’ll have up and down days and weeks but head down to the creative process and stick to the plan. From Mom and your newest sub!
This is a great video Tyler…. It came up on my feed. I am on this RUclips thing too but early stages with 154 subscribers. I think you are very much resonating with smaller creators like me and others here. I decided to watch videos from creators who have a smaller audience as they are closer to my 1st goal. I also decided not to look at my analytics, enjoy making videos and not put pressure on myself to put out 1 video per week…. My life doesn’t allow for that and that’s ok 👍🏽 I love your authenticity 💪🏾 keep going and keep enjoying the process! There are many very big creators literally scaling back due to burn out so look after yourself and enjoy every moment! Good luck to you! Just subscribed 👍🏽👍🏽
I resonate 🙋♀️ Everything you said after 9:12 in particular are the conclusions I’ve reached about my own RUclips journey. Just had a ‘big’ video on my channel, which took months to create, fail spectacularly. That followed 5 weeks of working full time (long days) on my RUclips content for next year and sacrificing a lot this summer. But in doing RUclips I’m investing in myself rather than working on other people’s projects and that’s important to me just now. I’ve watched two of your videos this morning (and subscribed) and I think you are really strong/authentic at reflection and expressing these ideas. Just my opinion but I think that’s what might resonate most with an audience. Because of this I’m very likely to watch your next video as soon as it pops up in my feed. 🎉Best of luck! 😊
Emily! Thanks for the three thoughtful comments you left on a few of my videos. Your feedback and insight really made my day and I particularly appreciated your vulnerability here around the level of effort you're putting into your channel. It sounds like you're doing amazing and remaining committed to the process - I'm inspired. :) Thank you.
This is an amazing video, I think what I look forward to most about your videos is your perspective. I know other channels might have amazing editing, or other aspects. But yours is unmatched when it comes to empathy & a balanced perspective. You have the ability to make people think about all sides of the video topic. I think you should be proud of that bro!
I've sincerely appreciated your comments on my videos over the years. You're one of those subscribers who makes me think bigger and I appreciate your willingness to engage and share you perspective. Cheers!
I feel you man, I've felt the same way at many points regarding RUclips. Props for just putting this video out there, it speaks to me as someone who feels compelled to do creative things but is stuck at a crossroads in life at the moment. Or sometimes I'll make stuff and dislike it, so I don't stick with it and ideas get scrapped. I'm glad that you feel so passionately about doing RUclips as your calling, if you're willing to 'suffer' through the lows then I'm sure you'll come out the other side with a very diverse set of skills like you said, whether you 'succeed' or 'fail.'
I'm doing RUclips for over 10 years as a hobby and I feel you, I feel very similar to many things your talking about. YT isn't easy, I've thinking about quitting for multiple years now but for some reason it's hard to actually go through, I've made a few longer pauses but I've always returned, sometimes not even sure what still keeps me going.
We will make it! I admire your dedication. 10 years is long and if people have the same mindset as you, then there is no reason for any form of regret.
Man just keep going bro. This popped in my feed and I watched all the way. I just started my channel 2 weeks ago I'm at 21 subs. Nice authenticity on your part. I just subbed you. Hope it works out.
I fully understand where you're coming from.... Everything you said was true. There comes a point where you have to decide.Do you enjoy making videos whether people watch or not... And if you do and money is not the object, Then don't stop making videos.Because there is still an audience here for authenticity... I wish you much luck, my friend.❤
Insightful comment and question, Sheila. Thanks for that. I'm surprised this video has done well from the views/engagement perspective. It's clear there's room for this type of authenticity on RUclips. Cheers 🙏🏼
Keep up the good work. RUclips isn't easy. It takes a loooooooot of hard work. You need at least 100 videos to start seeing more ppl discovering your content. Not easy, but it's extremely rewarding and satisfying to do your best to give some value to your audience! Don't give up amigo :)
Love your content, discovered you through the Matt davella vid! I feel you have quite a similar outlook on life as me aha, so I’ve been really relating to your vids. That’s the beauty of these kind of channels! You’re honest and relatable. You’ll grow slower but you’ll develop a deeper connection this way. On RUclips - Slow growth creates a meaningful connection therefore gaining you loyal viewers Fast growth creates a shallow connection and almost never lasts in the long run! (From experience)
Sincerely appreciate the kind words, feedback, and insight. Somebody recently commented "Coffee sent me" and I wondered what they meant - must've been a fan of yours! It's been productive to wrestle with the feedback I've gotten on this video. I think your comment here is precise: I feel it intuitively to be true, even though I don't have the requisite experience. I think what's most important at this stage is to continue to make videos and do my best to channel my authenticity and enjoy the process. Slow growth is okay - and like you pointed out, likely favorable in the long run. I worry about being "niche-less" and stumbling around, but I can't allow that fear to get in my way. Your comment had a positive impact on my day. Thanks again.
You showed up on my home feed as well. I started almost 8 weeks ago and can resonate with a lot of what you said. So this was GREAT! I subscribed just from watching due to your honesty and authenticity. Don’t give up!😊 I am 55 and I work full-time as well. Slow and steady wins the race💕
"You have the right to the action but not the fruit of the action." Thanks for this framing, really hit me today. Your 1000+ subs are pretty impressive to me at 9, there's always someone to look up to, who's further along the path. You've earned a sub from me based solely on this video. Keep creating!
im trying so hard to stay grounded in this process and know it could take time. ive got 32 subs, but over 600 views in just a few weeks of posting. so i just gotta keep going. good luck to u! i hope we both get where we wanna go. ❤
I am proud of you sharing this.. and i do resonate with you.. i am at 106 subscribers 😂😂😂 but i believe in my calling no matter how long it takes, i am dong this! and creators like you really gives me the strength to keep going, we all know that the people around us is not the people who will encourage you to keep going... it is the people that are going through the same path that can really help us get through the hard parts of this journey so really, thank you for your honesty and for sharing this 🌞 i believe in you!!
I really enjoyed hearing your story Tyler...I just started my channel a few months ago. I'm 55 and finally had the courage to start posting content. It's a grind but I'm doing this for self improvement!!! Keep pushing dude!!!
Thanks so much for sharing. "Doing this for self-improvement" is so spot on - we are almost guaranteed to evolve by committing to such a journey. Best of luck to you. 🙏🏼
Whatever you have to do, just find an excuse to win. Keep going. Never give up. I’m glad you started this journey because if you didn’t, you would regret it. I’ve subbed to keep tabs on you and your journey. Good luck! 🍀
I felt every bit of this. You put everything in my heart into words here. I've been failing at this for 8 years, but refuse to give up because I learn something new every day. You came up on my youtube homepage. Clearly, you're doing something right.
I'm new on RUclips too and have just 80 subs. I'm making video musics, creating everything in the process. It's tiring and frustrating some times, but we need to keep going. I totally relate to you. Your video popped up on my thread and you gained a new sub! 💕
Yep...I hear ya! I still can't work out why some small channels similar to mine take off so quick but mine hasn't really progressed since hinting 1,000+ subs. The crappy part is before this I never cared, and now I do so that's made me question why I'm doing it at all and I hate that I now have this lack of confidence in myself that wasn't there prior to getting monetized. 😢
I relate to you soooooo much my friend!!! I just moved out of my apartment and am currently living out of my car travelling for a year and am basically doing it to go full throttle into youtube and see what happens! Take the risk. Let's do this! 🍻 best of luck on your journey ♡
Thank you for this video! Recently I've been plagued with self doubt and comparison, and it's comforting to hear someone say aloud the same thoughts I've been having all this time. I was starting to wonder if RUclips was worth continuing considering all the challenging aspects, but this video reminded me even the failures are worth having. Thank you again, and I hope you find success on this platform!
Exactly what I needed, and exactly the right moment! Thank you so much for this! Onwards and upwards, I’ve subscribed, and look forward to watching you receive everything youre wishing for yourself ❤️🔥🏆♥️✨✨✨
wow. I didn't know how to artictulate or conceptualize it but you nailed it! I deal with this a lot. I have like 3k subs and a podcast and it's that gap between dabbling and going all in. That's why I've struggled. I tried pushing myself for a long time over like a year or two but man did it cut into my life in every way. My time, money, and thoughts were always pushing towards what I wanted to achieve on RUclips. Man, that's so cool to feel seen like that and know you feel the same! I appreciate this video! We feel like we can do it all but at what cost? It reminds me of the War on Art or other books describing how risistance is a good thing and means it's our calling in a way but also we're scared to follow dreams in our culture because it doesn't "make money" or "make sense". I've been dealing with this crappy feeling for so long and haven't posted or made a video in months. I think the goal is to make it just enjoyable again and ironically not overthinking it or checking the analytics less will increase our success on here idk.
Algorithm showed me this so you're doing something right! I'm still in the very early days of YT but I relate. so. much to everything you said. I'm doing it alongside my 9-5 in tech and it's a grind. I feel like sometimes you just gotta go for it in life! I am going to have to keep going at this youtube thing for awhile while working and try to give it the hours that I can outside of my day job but everyone's situation is different and it sounds like this is really the path for you right now. I think being able to go hard for even a few months to really see what you can accomplish is an amazing gift, regardless of the outcome - I say go for it! You have the proof of concept already :)
Kate, you're awesome. Sincerely, thanks for the thoughtful comment and encouragement. I relate with you - doing RUclips alongside the 9-5 is no easy feat. I imagine I could balance better if I wasn't in a Sales role, which can be high-pressure and require a lot of emotional/mental resources. I expect I'll have some updates on my life situation over the next few weeks :) Cheers to you on your journey!
This was a great video, and it tugs at the heart strings of others like myself who are giving their shot at this. I pour my heart into this thing, and I do believe I have something unique with taking an educational approach with a cooking channel. It is overwhelming for sure trying to manage a full time job and coming up with ideas, planning, filming, editing and all that. And if one isn't posted every week, I feel like the whole world will collapse on all of it. I don't have the luxury of being able to exclusively do this, as life's bills still exist. I greatly appreciate this video, you're not alone my friend. We're all giving it the best we can with what we have.
I love the way you think. I keep starting and stopping because both failure and success scare me lol. Life is strange but wonderful too. Keep taking the next right step ❤️
its a tough journey - there is no manual given when you commence a creator journey and a hell of a lot of learning on the way - as well as good and bad influencing. i love the new wave of youtubers who are becoming more and more unique and authentic. The journey is supposed to be enjoyable and sometimes too much focus on expectations and changes to our mindsets can make it a burnout journey. You want to look back and say well i made time to enjoy the journey, not feelings of regret. Make sure you take time out to reset, rejuvenate. Subscribers can include people who don't engage and so they are not the main need. slow growth with true subscribers who engage are more important and valuable to your channel growth. You can do!💯💯👏🏼👏🏼
It's crazy seeing this video because This past Monday i decided to go all in on you tube, I've seen a bit of growth this year & i feel like its my calling. Looking forward to seeing your growth bro!
Got this recommandation in my feed. I feel 100% of what you are saying. This is very easy to start, extremely hard to continue consistently. Great content, wish you the best
Man, I Feel the same, I had to do a next YT channel with 0 subs and after almost 4 months I am near to 400subs. WAGMI ... I belive in You. You will achive your goals. ❤
I appreciate your authenticity and honesty. This is your passion and an outlet for your creativity. You do it very well. Your videos are a beautiful piece of you that will live on forever. Continue to enjoy the journey and know you are a success already. 🦋🏵🦋
New content creator here with 100subs. I posted my 1st Video on 2022 and it didnt perform very greatly resulting in me labeling this as a failure and stopping. Jumping to now, due to our phone memory is really full, we decided to upload some videos in the internet, its the same that it doesnt perform well but my wife always tell me its okay, just treat it as a hobby and keep posting. The positive support will really give you a boost, praying for wisdom and more success to you 🎉
You tackle some big, heart-deep ponders. I've felt this. Cheering you on in the creator journey and in the real grit it takes to face fear and stay true to yourself in the midst.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment. You nailed it: facing fear, remaining authentic, and being comfortable with whatever unfolds. Cheers to you on your journey. I took ten years of piano lessons growing up; my grandmother played, so the piano holds a special place with me and my family.
Thanks for your transparency! I’m steps away from beginning my youtube channel… and have wrestled with many of the same thoughts as you! But if we don’t at least try to succeed then we’ve already failed… right?!? Stay authentically you… this was that and You’ve got this… ❤
Thanks for the comment! Honestly this was sort of intended to be a "throw away" video on a day in which I was creatively blocked - but it's clear there's room for this type of authenticity on RUclips. Definitely challenging my view for what is a "good video". Cheers 🙏🏼
Theres only one of you, and i am glad you showed up in my feed! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and keep grinding man, youll get there, where you need to be - and then you can groew more and get to the next point! Its all we can do. Subbing, look forward to more of your path!
I know how you feel, and you’re way ahead of me, it seems I’ve been stuck on 450 subs forever. In my case I feel, I’m all in. I’m learning as much as I can as i go, and I also know it’s not a sprint, so it’s going to take a lot of time grinding. I luv RUclips, so I’ll put in the work and hope it pays off. One way or another I know it will.😊 keep ya head up boi, and keep grinding.
This video speaks to me man. This RUclips journey is a challenge, especially when you know that the niche you'd like to go into, already has thousands of content creators that's a 100 times bigger than you, with better equipment, better PC's, cameras, software, etc.. And it sometimes is difficult to stay positive when you know you still have a long way to go. But it would be better to try and fail than to live with that regret of "what if". I hope one day we can look back at moments like these where we felt it was tough, but we still made it through. That's something to look forward to.
I’m rooting for you. Do what you think is best for you. I can totally feel what you are saying… thought about this a lot … and for me I will not go all in but I will give it a fair amount of time. I just didn’t have the skills and budget (tech tools, coaching, etc) to make so much impact here in RUclips so I’d be focusing more on writing books, and then use my RUclips to share about it.
Great content! I just subscribed. I wanted to share a quick story from my experience as a personal trainer. Every gym I worked at, there were always trainers who said things like, 'There are no more clients to get because all the potential clients are working with someone else.' But I always made it a point to talk to every member, make small talk, and build relationships. Because of that, I consistently outperformed most trainers. I guess my point is, it can always feel like the market is saturated, but if you really enjoy the process, there’s a huge market for your unique perspective. Sure, not everyone will like what you do, but if you stay true to yourself, you'll find people who resonate with you. Just my experience, and I hope it’s helpful. Thanks again for sharing! Be yourself, believe in yourself, and listen to yourself!
I was already subscribed but if i weren't this would have made me commit. I can definitely relate and i have just over 1k subs, too. Ive had negative growth all year. Some days i wonder why I'm doing it. Then i remind myself that i do have an audiences who appreciates me, even if it is small by yt standards. Wishing you the best in continuing to find and grow your audience. Theyre out there.
Your video got recommended to me via the algorithm. Our channels are of different niches, but I love that RUclips pushes videos of other small channels. Easier said than done, but I find it very hard not to compared myself to others. I’ve seen similar channels to mine (in terms of quality and content) grow significantly faster, and it’s hard to wrap my head around it. Feel like a lot of new content creators do the right things, read the right materials and execute their growth strategy accordingly, but the results are still quite different for each person/channel. Thinking about your point on failing - the bigger travesty would be never starting (or even trying). I struggled with analysis paralysis for a LOOOOONNNG time. Starting though is one of the best decisions I ever made. Am I afraid of failing, sure. If I never started though after telling myself for years this is what I wanted to do… now THAT would be the biggest regret. Best of luck to you, friend!
I’ve got 1160 subs after over 300 videos, but it’s super niche hobby and I’ve got a band of about 150 hardcore followers who want to learn about antique. I’ve monetised and am making about £0.70 a day, so making about £0.25 an hour, but I don’t care, I’m a professional, and I’m talking and teaching about my passion.
you are good! keep pushing. you have something special that makes the difference... it is my first video of your channel and how you talk connected with me in less than 30s
Thank you for the encouragement! I saw you also checked out my video on introversion; I'm glad something about my style connects with you. I'm inspired and your comments mean a lot. 🙏🏼
Good on you for making this video, RUclips definitely is a hard slog for most people. I think especially when your a faceless channel like mine and your trying to compete with so many other channels similar to yours. You need to find something that is like you said, Uniquely you. But that even doesn't make you get seen. My channel is a Disability Inclusive kids channel but the videos I make for that purpose don't seem to get views..lol so I just end up trying different things within my niche and see what sticks so to speak.I'm still making my way to the 1000 subs but I'm not too upset about it because I love what I do. Slowly...slowly...(hopefully) we will get there. Keep slogging on....and have fun doing it!
The skills are learned and hopefully mature with every video. I’ve learned so much through my journey. In my niche, we really build each other up (nurture)and help each other. You are still here. Every one’s idea of success is different. Your life is hardly ruined, yes, rearranged. Make good choices on the journey! Make sure to always have fun with it, continue to be real. Never label yourself a failure from the start!
Keep going Tyler, I know where you are at! I think the tide turns more when you start to really think about things from the audience's perspective. Like what do they actually want to see versus what you (or I) think is a good idea. This can be a bit soul crushing, because you may discover what you think is interesting nobody else does. But the sooner you can distinguish this, the better.
Great insight, thanks for sharing. Part of what kept me creatively stuck the last week was determining what was the "best video idea" vs. "what I'm actually excited about in this moment". Ideally, I can refine my understanding of where those two categories meet. Apparently, this video is an example? I'm surprised by its performance - I was just trying to articulate what was alive in me and for some reason it's resonating. Thanks again for stopping by.
I very much relate to this. I very much relate to you. Your outlook and your personality are well communicated here and I don’t even know what the rest of your channel is about, but I am ready to watch you more. Great work! I have a small channel where I vlog about my life as a professional musician (currently working on cruise ships) and I feel this so much. The frustration and fear often keep me from making the next video and realistically, I just need to keep doing what I do to bring them in. “If you build it, they will come”
I was just thinking this same exact thing! "If you build it they will come" I just started a Nail Channel and it's a slow going process! I've seen other channels grow faster and it's almost impossible not to compare myself to their channels and their unexpected success.
David, appreciate your comment and I'm glad you resonate. Best of luck with your journey and in overcoming any fear or stuckness. I'm honestly perplexed that this video has gotten so much engagement. It was sort of intended to be a "throw away" video on a day in which I was creatively blocked - but it seems there's room for this type of authenticity on RUclips? Definitely challenging my view for what is a "good video". Lots to ponder. Cheers 🙏🏼
This literarily as raw as it gets. Thanks for being authentic about how you feel about this and for some of us, smaller channels, it’s encouraging, yet humbling. So, keep going so I can keep going 🫶🏾
Thank you for this. I picked a niche that I am passionate about, but not sexy at all. And I see WAY more 'How To Grow On RUclips' videos being recommended from people who have nothing to offer to REALLY help me in my chosen niche. But I will keep going because I'm getting positive feedback, so I am reaching people.
I really enjoyed this - thanks for pushing through the resistance. I spend time thinking similar things to you - I feel so fortunate that I'm a musician first and am here on RUclips with different goals to many creators. But seeing those stats every time I log in still do a number on my brain. Thanks for reminding me I need to read the Bhagavad Gita - if you haven't read "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert yet I think it could help add to this idea that "the work is its own reward". Let's get that mantra on a loop and keep making the things we feel called to make! Onwards :) Have a fab day xo
Your comment means a lot. Candidly, I'm surprised this video has done well from the views/engagement perspective. It was sort of intended to be a "throw away" video on a day in which I was struggling - but it's clear there's room for this type of authenticity on RUclips. Definitely challenging my view for what is a "good video". Cheers 🙏🏼
Resonates! I got burned out with full time work, quit, and am now focused on RUclips (though I have other things I could focus on, YT is the most fun!) and am a loooooong way from making money from it! PS You're a great speaker! I have to edit my videos so much :)
I think what you are describing is the RUclips “crossroads” every creator experiences. Treat it as a fun hobby and you’ll probably stagnate indefinitely or treat it as a career path and invest a large portion of your life in it and you might (emphasize might) grow. It’s the age old hobby vs business debate. Best of luck with your journey bro.
Another excellent video by you. You have something unique and captivating in your communication so I encourage you to keep forging ahead. Love your thought processes, they are very insightful and wise.
Tyler my man, I looked at your videos without watching them and I noticed( not counting your first 3 videos that were posted a really long time ago) your second video had 103k views, not usual. Since then you been havinv more realistic numbers, that is why you think you might be loosing the battle, but I dont think you are, you have a lot of views, you speak well, probably just need fine tunning here and there, to me the most fun part of the journey, keep going.
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch. Candidly, I didn’t expect anyone to even watch this - it was more so an exercise in pushing through resistance and making a video even when it didn’t seem like a “good video”. I’m glad my authenticity came through. Thanks for subscribing.
Creative calling is why you are good in sales - you are so young. When you go for what you feel called to do amazing things happen and I think you realize that keep doing you - it’s divine timing. We do not control the timeline. We only control the actions regret of not taking action is worse than failure, thanks for this conversation
Thanks for the comment, Karen. "We do not control the timeline. We only control the actions regret of not taking action is worse than failure" < Wow, thank you. Many things in my life have aligned for me to even consider the "all in" option, so I'm in a place of gratitude as I continue this journey. Cheers.
Wow! What an inspiring video!! Thank for being so real! We just subscribed & look forward to watching more of your videos! You got this!! Marion & Jan 😁👍🏼
It’s true😁💜YT can change your life & lifestyle. One becomes the brand of their channel and also a friend to their community. It’s difficult to satisfy all wants & viewing preferences of viewers, hence exist this many YTers to broaden viewer satisfaction😁💜I totally get you🤗🤗💜💜
You can go all in and still keep your job(recommended)... Just have to devote consistent time to your channel.i did this 2 years before retirement. During those 2 years while still working I felt I could really hammer it if had the freedom to do it full time. So 2 years after retirement still making videos and I discovered that I was actually MORE PRODUCTIVE when I only had that 2 hour window everyday
Social media algorithms seem to me like the most demanding of bosses you could get. People who rely on this as their living really have to bust their butts to survive. We'll end up in a situation where people have to almost become machines. I don't think it bodes well
Tyler. Me again (David from Spain) I would love to see you growing your channel and watch your evolution. It is inspiring to see others taking action. Please share your path. I want to create a youtube channel but not yet. I want to talk to other people but also show ACTION, adventure, results... I am also starting a new life in september.
David, thank you. Your encouragement and feedback is meaningful, and I think you present a good point: people want to witness and tag along for people's authentic journey. Best of luck to your next chapter in September - will it involve a creative endeavor, or something else? Cheers.
@@tylerjkeenanYes. My wife and I love spearfishing so we want to learn filming underwater with action cameras. We will create a youtube channel once we have some interesting footage. Not focused at all in monetizing. Just learning and having fun.
Brother I just started 2 weeks ago and I’m at 61 subscribers. I’m right in the middle of that trench right now where I’m tossing videos into the abyss and just trying to keep going
2400 subs, 400 videos, 4 years and I’m just now realizing I just want to be myself and not all I have tried to accomplish on here. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be perceived as. It’s monetized social media and it can really mess with your emotions. I feel you. They say it takes 100 videos to figure it out. I’m still not there. It’s ok tho.
Your video is very engaging, and personable. This really resonates with me.. i just started, with 14 subs. I feel the need to succeed. I wish you the best. Subscribed!
Tyler- you are awesome! Keep going. I’ll subscribe. I’m just starting out too, trying to create a channel that helps caregivers of children. All I can do is offer some help to others and see where it goes.
I relate to this experience! I’m a 59 year old female speaking coach and nomadic living creator and you popped up on my suggested videos. 😊 Keep going.
Thanks Lisa! Love "saying no to niche'ing!" best of luck on your journey.
This video was recommended to me by RUclips, that's a good thing! I have 126,000 subscribers (not bragging) and it's not that great. You just gotta keep pushing forward. It's not easy.
Thanks for the insight and encouragement Ed.
Lucky you. I've got 30 subs.
Wow

Not losing hope. I only have less than 200 subs after a month and I'm optimistic. We will all succceed
I feel like that and I only have 200 subs. 😂
@@gameanalysis3859 oh man, it’s hard bro. As long as you are enjoying it, it makes it easier. Keep at it brother 🤙🏻
@@avid.venture Thanks mate. Your comment has been appreciated.
I’ve just stumbled across your video, and man, this sounds so authentic and I am with you. I recently started my journey as a creator on RUclips and I know what you mean. Keep going man, you’ll smash it ❤
DO IT. I’m halfway to 1,000 subs and man it’s a hard grind. I subbed and support you! You’ve got this. Bet on yourself ALWAYS.
Love this energy. :) Thanks, Thea.
@@tylerjkeenan yeah mate 👌
@ohitsthea still a long way to go for me.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Greg. Best of luck to you on your journey!
Sierra, thanks for sharing your perspective and experience. I've taken it to heart. Cheers!
My life doesn’t allow for that and that’s ok 👍🏽
I love your authenticity 💪🏾 keep going and keep enjoying the process!
There are many very big creators literally scaling back due to burn out so look after yourself and enjoy every moment!
Good luck to you! Just subscribed 👍🏽👍🏽
@@uptbyclaramosha love the support her and your content is great. Just subbed your channel!
@@sierralovesdogs awww thanks so much…. Really appreciate it ❤
I resonate 🙋♀️ Everything you said after 9:12 in particular are the conclusions I’ve reached about my own RUclips journey.
Cheers!
Agreed!
Suedeash, thanks so much for the thoughtful comment - nice to know someone relates to my experience. Best of luck to you on your journey. Onward! :)
Appreciate you! Best of luck.
Thanks for the comment! Grateful to get some insight/feedback from someone so much more far ahead - awesome channel.
On RUclips - Slow growth creates a meaningful connection therefore gaining you loyal viewers
Fast growth creates a shallow connection and almost never lasts in the long run!

Thank you again, and I hope you find success on this platform!

Coffee sent me! I hope you feel better :(
This was a great video, and it tugs at the heart strings of others like myself who are giving their shot at this.
Sending positivity your way, thank you
its a tough journey - there is no manual given when you commence a creator journey and a hell of a lot of learning on the way - as well as good and bad influencing. i love the new wave of youtubers who are becoming more and more unique and authentic.

Love this attitude 🙏🏻😌 thanks for sharing and for the encouragement.
Be careful it can take over your life. I have 24k subs and almost went nuts trying to grow my channel. I now do it as a hobby.!
Amazing reflection, Tyrone. Thanks for taking the time to leave encouragement and share your experience! Cheers.
I had given up on RUclips where I made financial content and then came accross this video. Thank you so much bro
Glad it resonated and caught you at the right time. Best of luck!

Your life is hardly ruined, yes, rearranged.
Make good choices on the journey!
Make sure to always have fun with it, continue to be real.
Never label yourself a failure from the start!
Thanks for the encouragement and sharing a bit about your journey
"If you build it they will come"
I just started a Nail Channel and it's a slow going process!
What a wonderful video! Loved the message, the reflection
Timely for me, considering "all in". Thanks for putting it out there!
I feel ya bro! I feel everything you said.
Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work, I see you've published more than 500 videos, which is amazing. Cheers.
Laura, thanks for the thoughtful comment. Adding Big Magic to my list, best of luck to you!
Your honesty is very refreshing, am glad that you opened up about it because you feel the same way a lot of us feel, wish you the best man :)
What an awesome story, Lisa. Thanks for sharing and stopping by. :) Best of luck on your journey.
You are so right just subbed and liked
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, comment, and subscribe. 🙏🏼
I resonate with you, Tyler. You're doing a phenomenal job! Just subscribed. 😊
You're awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, comment, and subscribe. 🙏🏼
Another excellent video by you. You have something unique and captivating in your communication so I encourage you to keep forging ahead. Love your thought processes, they are very insightful and wise.
Your thoughtful feedback has lifted my spirits this weekend! Thank you, Angelique. :)
This resonates and I only have 400!
I am just restarted. I feel my skills improved, I enjoy the improvement journey while making videos. ❤❤❤
Algo found me, and I liked this enough to sub. Love the authenticity, keep going!
Cheers.
Love the authenticity… keep it up man!
Wow! What an inspiring video!! Thank for being so real! We just subscribed & look forward to watching more of your videos! You got this!!
Marion & Jan 😁👍🏼
Thank you!
You were recommended in my feed since looking into starting a channel.
Level-headed feedback, thank you for sharing!
I needed to hear this today! Thank you for doing an honest look at the creator world and the thoughts we all go through.
Appreciate the comment!
61 in two weeks is great! Keep going!!
You got this! Let's go :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and share your experience. Best of luck to you in tapping into your authenticity.
Your video is very engaging, and personable. This really resonates with me.. i just started, with 14 subs. I feel the need to succeed. I wish you the best. Subscribed!
This means a lot! Best of luck, you got this.
It takes time. Just keep grinding.
Thanks for the encouragement!
I feel the same sometimes... go on! I like this video. thanks a lot! greeting from Germany
Tyler- you are awesome! Keep going. I’ll subscribe. I’m just starting out too, trying to create a channel that helps caregivers of children. All I can do is offer some help to others and see where it goes.
Thanks for the encouragement and sharing. It sounds like you're on a meaningful journey
