Ok, I love you and your assistant too!! Just saved me a ton of money. This 65 year old widow just fixed my (probably older than yours) 26 year old Kenmore washing machine. Eternally grateful! ( and I loved "this is not your show!" LOL)
This HAS to be the most amazing video I've ever seen. For so many reasons. Those married out there really appreciate this for what it is. As a bonus... I was able to get my washing machine repaired without getting agitated.
I was going to call and get a quote from a repairman to fix my washer and then i got on google and seen i can do it myself! Ears cost me 7bucks! Exact model washer I have so this video was especially helpful to me, thank you!!
Girl, you rock! Love how you show you can fix a washing machine while wearing a white dress and with a set of painted nails! You just showed the world that household repairs aren't necessarily a man's dirty job :)
Bravo, Good For You.... that was well filmed and explained... I like that a women tackled it and even worked in harmony with her helper who we all know can be trying some times.... lol
Thank you soooo much! You absolutely rock!! I love the way you just do it!! I’m very grateful for this video! You just showed the world that a chic with a white dress and painted nails can get it done!! Very empowering for us ladies! Wish me luck as thanks again!!!
After watching your video, I ordered a set of four Kenmore 80 series agitator dogs on Amazon for $3.95. I followed your step by step demo, 7/16" socket and all. I just finished. It took all of 15 minutes to replace. Thank you maam. Great How-To Video.
your guidance from yourself and your "assistant" ;) made me look like a hero to my fiance :). when I spoke to a repair man over the phone he told me that they would charge no less than $250 and that it was a "major repair". after buying a ratchet, socket, extender, and agit dogs ($7 including shipping) our washer is working perfectly!! and we picked up the washer for free a couple weeks ago. they probably thought the repair was too much $$. much love and appreciation for this video!! thank you
My washer was also free, agit also costs me 7bucks so I think we got a win lol. One repair shop I asked told me the part alone cost 50 bucks, some type of transmission thing they were saying i needed...smh
I also googled my washer's problem, and up popped your video. Thank you for making this and giving me the confidence to repair it myself! I'm fairly handy, but a step by step REALLY helps! Didn't want to have to get a new one, I like my washer. Thanks again!
Googled my problem, and you popped up. Thank You for the walk thru. Took me longer to go get the parts than it did to watch your video and fix our washer..
I tried to send you a video thanking you and how you saved me alot of money and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and how I went to college for maintenance but I'm just got into debt even though I graduated and how the parts only cost 3$ and some change and how I gave the change I had left to a guy needing gas at the store but For some reason RUclips wouldn't let me post it this is the simplified version I hope you have a wonderful Christmas
AWESOME - A calm cool and collected voice does sooo much for fixing a problem. I used a longer type needle nose to pull the thing that hold dogs in place, off. Be careful not to break them. And installed upside down. Worked for me. Thanks so much for your help. People like you make me have some domestic tranquility +.
Thank you sooo much!!! You have the exact washing machine that I do and you gave me the confidence to fix it myself! I will now charge my husband the cost of having a repair man here! Lets say about $150.00! He said I couldn't do it but I did!!! :)
Wonderful to see that there are more people out there who have not taken to the disposal concept. The new front loading washers are really awful. Mine broke after 6 years. Bought Kenmore 80 series. Needed to figure out how to remove top of agitator. Thanks for the great video....
Oh, goodness gracious, you two are adorable! You remind me so much of my husband and I, that we cracked up. You go girl!!! With a special thanks to your trusty mentor...I mean assistant. It was also very helpful.
Thanks. Since this posting the spin cycle completely stopped but we RUclipsd (is that a verb now) how to fix it.. I can't justify a newer machine when the Designer Shoe Warehouse store keeps having a buy one get one half off sale. 🛠👠👠
HI Mrs Ryals. I'm so glad it helped. I just looked at some of your videos. I applaud you for being a great mom and teacher to your daughter. Your love and patience is so commendable. I wish you the best.
I have ti say also, this HAS to be the one of the most amazing videos that I've ever seen. I love all the side comments in the video. Great couple. Saved me many $$$$$$. Thanks. You two should do a lot more videos.
Thank you for this. It is exactly what I needed. I hope you are still making these DIY videos. I’m a subscriber now. Easily the best DIY I’ve ever seen.
Aw thank you Mr. Reedy. Unfortunately my husband doesn’t trust me taking things apart. As I type this he’s trying to fix a squeaky noise from our dryer. He took it apart before I could record it. 😑 But I’m glad you didn’t have to spend much $$$ in repairing your machine.
While you are waiting for the new dogs to be delivered, work on cleaning out the crud that is caked into the approximately 90 teeth of the ring that surrounds the dog mechanism. This crud is a combination of dried soap and calcium/lime deposits from hard water. Use a brush to disloge as much as you can, then rinse out. The remaning crud will be crusty. Soften it with un-diluted white vinegar for a few hours, then use a sharp pointed tool to scrape the stuff out. Be careful to use gentle pressure so as not to scratch or gouge the plasitic. Rinse again. Repeat if not fully clean. This crud prevents the teeth of the dogs from fully engaging deep into the teeth of the rings. When only the tips of the dog's teeth are engaged then they are easily sheared off.
Thank you Mr. Wagner. I wish I had known that years ago when we replaced the dogs. That cap was so gummy from the fabric softener so we just threw it away. I hope other viewers benefit from your advice. Machine still working though.
Thank you very much! I appreciate this walk-through. I changed mine out today and it's working great now. Such a great feeling to repair something yourself. Especially when you really have no idea how the thing works overall. BTW, I got my new parts on Amazon. Only $3.00 Thanks again for the video. Very helpful
I got the agitator dogs for $3. at Amazon on-line. For $6. you can get the plastic rig with tabs as you a may as well replace that too while you are in there.
Richard Schlegel Very funny!! You should fix it as a surprise. Hey my mother was a personal assistant for a woman in Detroit named Margo Schlegel many years ago. Any relations?
I will be fixing it today for Valentine's day. She said as long as I am alive, I can to do the fixing around here. I will still show her how to do it just in case. BTW, No relation that I know of. :-)
Hi there your machine looks just like the one I have my model number sticker is missing and I want to purchase a part but they keep asking me for the model number does your panel say kenmore 80s Series heavy duty Super capacity plus quiet Pak three speed motor with four speed combination Ultra rinse system? If so I would appreciate you sharing your model number please and thank you
Hi there. That looks like my machine but the video quality does not allow me to make out the model number on the control panel mine says Kenmore 80 series heavy duty super capacity plus quiet pack three speed motor with four speed combination ultra rinse system. My model number sticker was peeled off so I was wondering if that was the same machine what is the model number? If so what is the model number?
Hey Mr.Alvin, my husband said after you remove the fabric softener dispenser and pull off the cap you should see the bolt/screw in the bottom unless you have a different type of machine. Sorry I can’t be much help.
With good dogs... when you spin it to the left, its sposed to spin the bottom fins with the auger if it doesent spin the bottom when turned to the left the dogs need replaced
ScantPear 809896 You're right. I just checked. With the bad dogs it spun very loosely but with the replaced dogs I can turn it to the left but I do feel some tension. Thanks. One day I'll figure out how to edit the video and correct my statement.
cocotaso101 Hmm I’m not sure what you mean. If you’re talking about the beginning it’s the fabric softener dispenser. Once you take that off there’s another cap-I think close to 1:08-1:15 in the video. Then you get to the agitator dogs. Those are those little plastic nobs that needs to be replace. Please feel free to reply back.
cocotaso101 My husband thinks it’s just the housing component for the agitator dogs. Is that what you need to replace? The agitator dogs are not worn out?

So precious how she spins the socket instead of ratcheting it. Good job teaching her.
@vden02 Guess you’re talking about at 3:25. My husband agrees with you.
Ok, I love you and your assistant too!! Just saved me a ton of money. This 65 year old widow just fixed my (probably older than yours) 26 year old Kenmore washing machine. Eternally grateful! ( and I loved "this is not your show!" LOL)

Garth Wilson Thank you Sir
Without getting "agitated"... I see what you did there. Well done, sir. hahaha!
You two act like my husband and I. I give you kudos for the videos. This video was perfect for me. Thanks.
Thank you! I love that you two work together on this.
Why thank you dahling...But my better role was playing the Damsel in distress and just asking for a newer machine. Ha!
This is my favorite fix it video I've ever seen. Thank you!!!
Bravo, Good For You.... that was well filmed and explained...
I like that a women tackled it and even worked in harmony with

"This is not your show." Lol, you two crack me up. Good tutorial video though.
Thanks. Machine still works great.
$7.40 including tax at my local parts store and I'm back in business. Thanks for an excellent video!
You are a rock star! Fixed a 20 year old washer for $2.81 !!! Thank you so much!!!!!
After watching your video, I ordered a set of four Kenmore 80 series agitator dogs on Amazon for $3.95. I followed your step by step demo, 7/16" socket and all. I just finished. It took all of 15 minutes to replace. Thank you maam. Great How-To Video.

I’m glad you had all the tools and confidence to do it!
AWESOME - A calm cool and collected voice does sooo much for fixing a problem. I used a longer type needle nose to pull the thing that hold dogs in place, off. Be careful not to break them. Thanks! Not sure what a needle nose is.😁
Thank you sooo much!!! You have the exact washing machine that I do and you gave me the confidence to fix it myself! I will now charge my husband the cost of having a repair man here! Lets say about $150.00! He said I couldn't do it but I did!!! :)
Mary G Bravos Sears charges that much just to look at the machine and $50 for agitator dogs. Glad you were able to save money.
Wonderful to see that there are more people out there who have not taken to the disposal concept. The new front loading washers are really awful. Mine broke after 6 years. Bought Kenmore 80 series. Needed to figure out how to remove top of agitator. Thanks for the great video....
You're very welcome.
FYI, after a week in the hospital recovering from a impacted skull from a pipe wrench hit, the assistant is doing well! Good video,!
Hi Al. I’m so sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you continue to recuperate and there are no long term consequences. 🙏
I have an 80 series Kenmore. I was looking for information about the very same problem and found your video. Just what I needed, Thanks.
The Casual Citizen Most welcome!
I paid just over 4.00 for a new set of dogags at one of the few
remaining parts stores in my area, and now it works great! Thank you.
1995cz Hey you're welcome!!

Hey sorry for delay. Couldnt remember my email. Mod# 110 20832990 Ser.# CK 3652579 Type 111
I don’t see screw/bolt after removing top; is there a cover on top?
Hey Mr.Alvin, my husband said after you remove the fabric softener dispenser and pull off the cap you should see the bolt/screw in the bottom unless you have a different type of machine. Sorry I can’t be much help.
Take the reins handy man
Its sposed to spin with the bottom when turned to the left
ScantPear 809896 🤔 my clothes weren’t getting cleaned until I got new agitator dogs.
That clip that popped off is that called agitator clip?
cocotaso101 Hmm I’m not sure what you mean. If you’re talking about the beginning it’s the fabric softener dispenser. Once you take that off there’s another cap-I think close to 1:08-1:15 in the video. Then you get to the agitator dogs. Those are those little plastic nobs that needs to be replace.

@@twistandlock I'm talking about 5:10
cocotaso101 My husband thinks it’s just the housing component for the agitator dogs. Is that what you need to replace? The agitator dogs are not worn out?
cocotaso101 Hey I think I found a website for what you’re looking at. Still cheaper to fix then buying a new machine.

miss vicious 😳 I'm not sure. It has to lift up some kind of way. I'd have to see a picture to show my husband.
