Thank you for introducing me to Adeem a few years ago! I didn't realize this was released. I'll check it out today.
Was waiting for this review! You got me into Adeem with White Trash Revelry and I was so excited for this.
Interesting to hear the more mixed elements following WTR, which is absolutely a hard act to follow
Will be sure to give it a spin and see what I think!
i do think white trash revelry is better, but this album is still great, and i absolutely adore one night stand, it’s such a great song
Adeem's last two albums, no joke, are among my favorite records of all time, so i had very high expectations on this album. I personally think the album IS great, up there with stuff like Echinacea's Is It Too Much To Ask, Noahfinnce's Growing Up On The Internet, and Willi Carlisle's Critterland as among my favorites this year thus far, but i completely get your points, and agree, it's the weakest of the three albums Adeem has released in the 2020's. Still damn good though.
I wrote a glowing review of this album for Nerds & Beyond (and mentioned you as one of the reviewers covering their work)! I love seeing your take on it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions with us!
That thumbnail felt like a total bait and switch, lol.
I actually think this production was a great fit for Adeem, though I'll grant the percussion is too noisy on Socialite Blues and Plot Of Land.
