Honestly, I was at Home Depot today & Lowe's yesterday in Raleigh and they're still so.... Lacking in the house plant section. Why is it like this? Why can't we have nice things!?! As my nephew says, "🙍🏾♀️It's not fair" 😂

I got a Monstera for $40 from my Lowes a week ago and 3 new leaves already I am thrilled.
I got a £14.99 monstera deliciosa from my local nursery and it already has a massive new leaf w secondary fenstrations

I usually get my plants from Lowe's, but my local one has not restocked in almost a month.
My home depot seems to not care about its plants and they always have a lot but not in good shape and more expensive.
But last week I went and I guess they had burly restocked their inventory on that particular morning, so I brought home 3 beautiful plants 😍
Saaame, but those hopeful restocks are why I try to pop in even in my local Lowes. I've gotten lucky 3 times: got a hoya Hindu rope, cebu blue, and I also found the variegated ficus triangularis this past month! What was it that you found?
I found:
1. A big monstera deliciosa with a lot of new growth too for only $21.99
2. A healthy peperomia frost
3. And the variegated ficus triangularis also
I want the ficus tineke, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Last month I saw one but it was in really bad state and not on clearance. I try to never spend more than $30 on a plant.

@@Beyourself633 Nice! If you're looking for a tineke, I bought some elastica varieties (tineke, ruby, altissima) on Etsy for around $30 and that's how I acquired all of them ^_^

I am in Canada's far north and the Lowe here barley carries house plants. I envy you because I saw so much that I could have gotten. However, I went to Lowe a day ago and found the crocodile fern and lots more. I went crazy, I did care if I had food after my many, many purchases because the winters here are hash for 9 months and my plants are my therapist. Thanks for taking the tour. I totally emerge myself in enjoying every moment but they drive me CRAZY though!!!!

Hi Ashley!! Nice to see your beautiful smile. I haven’t even finished watching the video, but got so excited when I saw the Persian Shield! It’s my absolute favorite plant. The leaves get a bit larger and depending on amount of sun will get a more vibrant purple. I’m bringing mine in before frost this year. Hoping for the best. You should get one. 😎

It's so interesting seeing the different selections compared to the store around me in the midwest!! We seem to have a ton of pothos varieties, a decent selection of philos, zz plants up the wazoo and a bunch of sanseveria (dracaena) in the home depot's and walmarts around here in WI. Thanks for shopping for me, Ashley! Monday I purchased a Hoya Rope in water from Pikes Nursery in Ballantyne. Has anyone grown one of these with success? Also, at the Sprouts in Ballantye I found a Philodendron Birkin! They only have about ten plants here and one was this Birkin! I snapped it up for $10.00...can you believe it?

First time watching and I just wanted to tell you I love buying the very little plants because I enjoy watching them get big. I have a lot of house along with several out door gardens. I need to cut some of mine back and make new ones because they are just getting so big. Oh and most of them are outside right now because it is so hot and humid here in the panhandle of FL. I was at the hardware store and all of their ficus triangularis has dropped most of their leaves. I dont know what they did wrong.
Oh man, I saw those sanseveria cylindrica at my Lowe’s the other day and they were labeled as ZZ plants! I shared it on a big house plant group on Facebook and everybody else thought it was pretty funny. The kicker was that some of them were labeled correctly!

Omg I've been looking for one of those for months. I just got a Hoya Curtisii 2 weeks ago at home depot! I love how cute the little leaves are and so easy to propogate, I even gave some cuttings to my mom.

I found the variegated ficus triangularis at my local Lowes too! I paid $30 for a twig awhile back and so when I saw these small bushes for $20 I bought 2! Pretty awesome find, right?! 😁

You’re so lucky to have access to vast varieties of house plants. I live in regional Victoria and the selection here isn’t so great or it’s very pricey. I’m hunting down a Cebu blue and they are fetching on eBay for $300 at Auction 😳. I can’t get to Melbourne either because of Covid lockdown. Every time I watch your channel I just want to buy everything 😅.

I live in California and I never find any Hoyas at my Lowe’s
mayra007100 try local nurseries, I found a Hoya crimson queen for $18. I also found my other hoyas at flee markets and at pretty good prices like a Hoya crinkle 8 for $10

When was this? I just moved to the Pacific Northwest and we are having a heat wave, so I am jealous of your storm but I’ll get plenty of rain later. I’d get the Persian Shield to give it a second try after my first failure. I like the purple passion but I need a break from killing plants. The plant you called aluminum is a pilea something Ellen which I’ve also recently killed 😅. I’ve seen that variegated triangularis sold at much higher prices. When I have space and money, I might try said ficus.
