I'm always SO jealous of the selections you have in your neck of the woods. I live in a small city in Colorado and our plant season is so short and not very impressive. Common houseplants are not that common in my area and I always grab them as soon as I see them... seriously, anything but golden pothos is hard to find lol

💚 Yes, Ashley I've been propagating too. Grew 5 varigated baby African Violets this summer from leaves. So much fun to watch them grow and budget friendly too!👌

Nice! Oh hey if you want to make a drainage hole in those ceramic pots you can. Just put it upside down, take a Philips screwdriver and something to hit it with and will go right through. I’ve done it to plenty of them. Including terra cotta pots. 😀
You missed all the gorgeous glass shelves at IKEA. 🥰 Last year I got two of the $10 garment racks for my hanging plants for the Winter and they worked great. Always get my plant pots there (and LECA too). ❤️ I drive 2 hours to get to Charolette IKEA so I make it worth the trip
You can't beat Ikea prices. Darn I wish I had seen that bathroom bamboo seat with the towel rack things. I bought a similar thing to trellis a large hoya. It has a huge pot so it needs a "seat". Put the pot on the seat and then trellis the plant up that back part would be perfect! I love the little greenhouse but my mom has one and it doesn't really retain a lot of humidity so I havent invested. But I do have several of those $8 cloches I use for plants that like extra humidity. There are also these cute little white metal shelves in the kitchen section meant to put in your cabinet to elevate cups and bowls and they are perfect for plants. Nick Pileggi also shows using one of the suction attachable bathroom shower toothbrush holders to attach to a window for a plant. There is just an enless array of re-purposing available at Ikea!

I don't know if you guys have go to Costco, but ours has been having huge & full fiddle leaf figs for $60 and various house plants in cute pots for $12!!
Love your friend’s energy! Also, some of those prices seem a little $$$ esp for being a big box store. I may be spoiled but $15 for pothos at Home Depot seems steep. After being wary for a while, I dived into online plant shopping and have not been disappointed. $14 for a 4” alocasia Ivory Coast free shipping. I mean, for $15, would you rather have a pothos or an alocasia? (I love all plants, I have a pothos, just talking $$)
I live a couple hours south of the Texas Border. I used to go to McAllen, Tx every couple of months. I always stopped by Home Depot to get some plants and try to sneak them in the car on my way back to Mexico. I did get caught a couple of times by the Mexican Inspectors at the Border and the Bastards threw my Plants away. 😥 I believe Costa Farms is the Plant Supplier for Home Depot. They are amazing Growers.
