Lowes is where my husband got my Curtisii. He thought it was a string of hearts, that was on my wishlist. I immediately knew it was a curtisii. I was thrilled!!
Thank you for including prices and so many different stores! I’ve been looking for this exact type of video; it’s so helpful for comparing value. Hope you and your plants stay safe and healthy. Happy to see masks and hand sanitizer in the video!
That huuuge pothos at I think the second store you went to was BEAUTIFUL.. I definitely would have bought that. Pothos hold a special place in my heart. lol
In Maryland, I found 3 types of hoyas at Lowe’s! Krimson Princess, Wayetii, and the same bilobata you found. Also found a curly lipstick plant, not sure of the actual name.
I live in Virginia, about 5 hours away from Charlotte and I’m planning a trip down there soon to go plant shopping because of you! Thank you so much for all of you videos and letting me know where the good stuff is! Haha. Btw where I’m from only had one greenhouse and it closed down this year
I spoke with a salesperson at the Lowe's near me. She told me that particular store gets most of their plants in on Mondays. I'm sure every location gets theirs on different days but FYI. Your 1st Lowes stop had a type of Orchid Cactus I noticed. You laid your hand on then moved on. Hope I find that one on my next trip!
Daughter and I have your vids on autoplay. Relaxing on our windy Saturday. Love your enthusiasm. When we’re no longer in lockdown we’re going the local plant nurseries to find these plant. Absolutely love ‘String of Hearts’.
Yes! I went to Lowe’s last weekend and got a Neon Pothos 6”; Hoya Rubra 6”, and 2 huge Philodendron Xanadu for $10.98 each. I left there so happy! Not sure what’s happening at Lowe’s but I’m loving it. I usually leave disappointed but not this time!
Hi beautiful! I'm new here! I honestly dont know anything about plants but started loving it during this quarantine.. i feel like I'm gonna be learning so much from ya. Nice to meet ya! Thank you for sharing this video! I felt Iike I was there with ya! Music was great 👍 You are so natural☆ infront of a camera ♡💕 Bye beautiful!
The only way I've been able to keep hoya curtisii alive is in a well draining mix (equal parts orchid bark, perlite, soil) otherwise they rot so fast. Let it dry out all the way and give it plenty of light :) great find!
Lucky! I’ve been wanting one... a plant shop near me had one.. an 8 inch pot for $100 and wasn’t that great looking.. so had to pass... one day I’ll have one :)
I would have definitely gotten a raven zz! I’m waiting for my nearby Lowe’s to stock back up on the tropicals, I need one! I did find a manjula pothos a few days ago which was super exciting!
Yesss these box stores are bringing it all of a sudden! I went to Lowe's yesterday for a teeny little fern and saw a gorgeous string of dolphins- GIRL. 👏 I about fell over in the aisle hahaha
Gosh, being up north we really get short changed on indoor plants. As of right now...NOTHING but bare shelves. Home Depot got rid of their indoor plant display
I would have bought the Hoyas!! I live in south Florida and Hoyas are hard to find. And found them at Lowes! Wow. Love your videos. Keep filming them. Enjoy your 🪴.
I grabbed that white pot to put my marble queen in, which is one of so MANY well known houseplants that I rarely see in my area. It's so light and simple, I just put some window screen over the drainage and dropped it in.
Your stores have some great plants. I wish I could find a dull Curtsii. I have cuttings and hope they grow into a full plant. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed🤗👍❤.
I have been going to the wrong Lowe's because the 2 in my area has nothing like the gems you found. I guess I will be taking a "mini" road trip this weekend! Great video!
Gorgeous plants. My hoya from Walmart was labeled bilobata. Couple wks later Samantha from houseplusplant sent me a bilobata cutting. It was diff from my plant so I googled. My full plant turned out to be a burtoniae. This one has fuzzy leaves. Score! I now have both! 🤣 not mad about it!
WOW that was so fun shopping with you (even though I couldn't buy anything) lol I'm just starting my plant passion again so I only have 22 of the easy growing ones. I'm excited to get to know you and your plants. Thanks for sharing 🍀🌿🌱🌾
Hi Ashley!!! Thank you for taking us shopping with you. I watch a lot of your videos and always enjoy them. What a haul!! I immediately went to my Lowes and Home Depot but didn't see anything. I live in south Florida and I rarely see good tropicals although a couple weeks ago I scored a cebu blue from Home Depot and a hindu rope from Lowes I thought I would pass out!!!
I would have gotten the Hoya bilobata too. Never seen one before! Plus the pothos on that pole. What a find!!! Plus any of the plants on terracotta planters on macrame hanger. So cute! Oh the pepperomias lol. Everything I guess 🤣
I’m so jealous, I rarely find anything great at my local Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart. The garden stores near me only carry good houseplants in the spring and they’re usually pretty expensive. Halfway through the summer there is nothing left. There are several plants I’ve been wanting for months and have not been able to find. I don’t like ordering on line because I’m usually disappointed and it’s always way more expensive.
Definitely would’ve bought the Bilobata at the first stop! I, too, was lucky enough to find a slew of Curtisii at my local big box store. Sooo exciting! 💚
You are so fortunate and lucky that you are finding so many beautiful plants out in about in your big box stores are big box stores out here and Southern California all look like they have low inventory on everything not that the plants don’t look nice and healthy it’s just not a very big variety. You are so blessed hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
Wow Ashley the plant gods are shining down on that lowes😂 I also found my curtisii, bilobata and manjula at Lowe’s here on Long Island a few months ago. Nice haul, great choices🥰🤩🙌 The manjula was huge, I definitely would have taken that, and the syngonium glo glo or pixie, and the peperomia hope ☺️
Hi beautiful! I'm new here! I honestly dont know anything about plants but started loving it during this quarantine.. i feel like I'm gonna be learning so much from you. Orchid and what right after orchid that red ones? That was so beautiful 😍. Nice to meet ya! Thank you for sharing this video! I felt Iike I was there with ya! Music was great 👍 You are so natural☆ infront of a camera ♡💕 Bye beautiful!
Wow can't believe how well stocked and all the varieties!!! At the first Lowe's esp.... Every big box stores near me (Philly) always have a max of like 5 plants and they're never in good shape lol
Wow! Your big box stores are amazing! Mine don’t carry a lot of what you found and your stores. I wish our stores here in northern Cali would catch up with others.
I LOVE your videos. My ds-70 that I got a few months ago is doing so well. I've had 3 peduncles!! The leaves weren't too great, they had a lot of nicks on them that turbed white from the sap. It's still pretty tho!!! I got a pixie syngonium like yours at a Lowe's in Greensboro, NC, and I have two white fittonias here in Danville, Va, too. I made 2 terrariums with just them in them.
it used to be you go to the grocery and they would have these little pothos plants or spider plants..now its nothing, just orchids and fresh flowers...its been years since i have seen a pothos at a grocery store..i always look..i love pothos..
Score! If you are looking for some hoya blooms, buy a lacunosa.. I have had mine for 4 months and it has about 20 flowering blooms on it right now... I just won't stop blooming! Scent reminds me of a soft jasmine/ musk scent. So pretty!
Dropped by my local Lowe's yesterday, (walking distance from home) and all I saw was a pitiful Pepperomia Ruby reduced to $5. Dried to a crisp. I passed. I'm good at raising the dead...but not that good! I'm not going into it here, but have you noticed the lack of A/C in the Lowe's you visit?
You have better selections there than here. I would get that golden pathos, string of dolphins, bananas and some of those nice big pots of assorted. I think I saw string of buttons?
Would have grabbed the Hoya for sure! What a great shopping day! Sometimes you get dud days sometimes you have miracle days!! Your level of excitement when you found the Hoyas is LITERALLY me every time 😂
I’m so jealous of your crazy amazing Hoya finds! Here in California we don’t see Hoya in big box stores. At least not here in Northern California. I find most of mine in small specialty shops. I’m jelly!
I also got the Hoya Curtisii at my Lowe’s in Atlanta.I was so excited just like you when I found it.I’m regretting not getting two lol.Don’t let them dry out too long before watering or else they tend to drop their leaves and vines.Good luck with yours so loving mine!!
Imari Singh hi your in luck by just being curious.I was at the Lowe’s in Fayetteville yesterday and they have Curtisii and Lacunosa variegated Hoya there for only $15.98 big basket. They just restock they’re houseplants. They been dry for a few weeks.I got one of each but they still have more so act fast and go today as soon as you see this comment.Good luck I’m sure you’ll get it this time!!✨🌱
Wow! 🤩 you really hit the jackpot at that first Lowe’s location. I have been on the hunt for Prince of Orange & couldn’t believe my eyes when you passed by those hanging baskets 😮😮 Also still on the hunt fir the Calathea Musaica & now have hope the trending tropicals collection will make another round near me 🤞🤞How did you resist the pink Alocasia? My goodness, that shade of pink 🥰🥰 And was that Aquamarine plant in hanging baskets you passed by in the location that you didn’t narrate? Such a great shopping haul
Lucky you! They have forgotten to ship to the center of the country, Missouri to be specific. Our stores are hurting in the plant department. .. and hurting is putting it nicely! Send some of that plant love this way please!
I would have gotten the majula pothos and the raven zz. I live in the Atlanta area and the Walmarts I visit have almost no plants and the Home Depots and Lowes have a small selection. I even visited the Pike's closest to me and it was nothing like the one you go to. I should probably drive to others but it was over 90 this weekend and I gave up. I am going to visit relatives in the RDU area next week so I may stop by some of these stores on the way home and one of the nurseries in Durham you featured.
I would go broke at the 1st stop. Definitely I would have gotten the hoyas.
🌿🌱💚
Chrystal Sabin me too!
Who comes up with putting Calathea and Sansevieria together? Sounds like a watering disaster for both plants.❤️✌🏻🍃🌿🌱
True!!
I was thinking this too!
Probably the same people who spray paint succulents or glue rocks to houseplants 🤣🤣
Yes! For sure! OMG the worst!😫
Zachary Taylor or put the Hoya rope stems in glass tubes...shoved into a piece of floral foam😂
Lowes is where my husband got my Curtisii. He thought it was a string of hearts, that was on my wishlist. I immediately knew it was a curtisii. I was thrilled!!
Well done hubby!
Thank you for including prices and so many different stores! I’ve been looking for this exact type of video; it’s so helpful for comparing value. Hope you and your plants stay safe and healthy. Happy to see masks and hand sanitizer in the video!
Thanks for watching!
That huuuge pothos at I think the second store you went to was BEAUTIFUL.. I definitely would have bought that. Pothos hold a special place in my heart. lol
They are the best! 💚💚🌱
I would love to see a plant tour of all your beautiful plant babies some day😀
She just did a house tour not too long ago and a new one when she moved into her new house
I would have definitely grabbed some of those hoyas! The big box stores here are SO barren right now 😭
ummmmmm myself too
Yes, me too.
My Lowes never has cool houseplants. I'm so jealous . I have gotten some nice ceramic pots at WalMart but 2 weeks ago they had very few.
I noticed that Walmart didn't have much this time either...maybe they are reducing their inventory for fall/winter.
In Maryland, I found 3 types of hoyas at Lowe’s! Krimson Princess, Wayetii, and the same bilobata you found. Also found a curly lipstick plant, not sure of the actual name.
Whoaaa!! Amazing finds!
I live in Virginia, about 5 hours away from Charlotte and I’m planning a trip down there soon to go plant shopping because of you! Thank you so much for all of you videos and letting me know where the good stuff is! Haha. Btw where I’m from only had one greenhouse and it closed down this year
Have fun!
Im in VA too😊 think I need to make a road trip too!💗🌿💜🍃🌵
I would’ve bought the Curtisii and the Manjula Pothos!! Great finds 🤩
I almost got the manjula, it was gorgeous!
I spoke with a salesperson at the Lowe's near me. She told me that particular store gets most of their plants in on Mondays. I'm sure every location gets theirs on different days but FYI. Lowe’s and Home Depot have swamp coolers which do nothing lol worked at both and felt like that sad ruby on some hot days
You have better selections there than here. I would get that golden pathos, string of dolphins, bananas and some of those nice big pots of assorted. I think I saw string of buttons?
Very cool Syngoniums you picked up there
Thx Vernon!
Surprised to see the Pitcher Plant’s I just got a baby so cute ! And it eats fungas gnats 🥰👍🏼
💚💚
I don’t necessarily live the way they look but I’ve been considering getting one to help with the gnats❤️

I snagged a Wayetii and a Manjula on my last Lowes vist. Funny that they seem to get the same plants in at similar times
I would have definitely bought the peperoni hope from Home Depot, I have been looking for that plant for a while.
Lucky you! They have forgotten to ship to the center of the country, Missouri to be specific. Our stores are hurting in the plant department. .. and hurting is putting it nicely! Send some of that plant love this way please!
