    I feel bad for anyone JUST replacing the rod bearings, THIS RIGHT HERE is the correct way to make sure your engine doesn't seize

    yes just what I thought with regard to the main bearings. The front one, top part specifically goes bad first, thanks to the distance from bearing to all the auxiliary pulleys. This is what seized my first engine, which was never supercharged.

      Yup seems to be a more common diagnosis these days! Scary thing to have to worry about, hence we preventatively changed them out.

      Do you mean the main bearings or the rod bearings?
