Beautiful Great Horned 😊 Did you film it for a few minutes? I never see owls dam it lol except a snowy owl doing papers at 3am on a country road it was right over the car going my direction maybe ten feet above the hood of my car. I actually seen a lot of wildlife helping my ex with the papers Rice lake area, I saved a barn cat ( kitten) from a coyote one night. And even a drunk person passed out on the third line in the middle of road at 4am (Alderville First Nations)and his buddy passed out in the ditch 🙄 Anyway I got way off topic good video 😊
Probably watched it for about 5 minutes. Then it flew to a higher vantage point and we left it alone. I'm sure you saw a lot of interesting wildlife that early in the morning... and human life 😂
So glad we stuck around right until the end to see that great horned owl!! 🦉 Awesome!! We did a birding trip to Long Point recently to see the Sandhill Cranes migrating through. Also saw Canvas back, Red Head, Bufflehead, Red Winged Blackbirds, Tundra Swan, and heard a Carolinian Wren (among many other more common birds for the time/ area). My daughter, only 11, and a big birding enthusiast led the way! We love watching your content and are learning to identify birds even more because of it. Thanks.
Thanks for watching, guys. Sounds like a pretty good day at Long Point. We may also make it down at some point, including to some of the spots outside the park.
Presqu'ile is a great spot for birding, I'm fortunate to live nearby. I hope you have a chance to come back in the spring/summer. It's great for Warblers and Shorebirds. You might even get a Piping Plover here 😉 happy birding!
Thanks Brandon. We're fans of Presqu'ile. Obviously Feb is not the best time, but I've had some good times there in the past and I'm sure we will be back.
Thank you Tracy. The harness is a game changer. Genuinely. I'm not sure if I could do this series without it because I have so much to carry and my main Nikon lens is heavy if you're carrying it all day. It isn't cheap. But I find it worthwhile. It comes with two attachments. I have my camera on the front and binoculars on the side. www.amazon.ca/Cotton-Carrier-3748-Steady-Shot/dp/B00IJMI4NQ/
I've supported Aston Villa since I was a kid. I grew up about 25 miles from the ground. There were good times when I was young. And again in the mid-90s. Since then, it has been pretty dire. Things are currently back on the up with a squad that has been improving and a manager that knows what he's doing and we are, for now, fighting to finish high enough to qualify for Champions League qualification. But... we still always lose to Man Utd 🤦♂️
I love it when I'm out and have given up on seeing a 'target' species for the trip... and then it turns up! Happy days!!
Yeah, that Great Horned was stubborn lol 😆
Thanks so much for sharing another great video like always 👍
Thank you Miguel 😊

Six birds to the count, great job Stu & Sarah! How do you like your DSLR harness? Can you link it?
Thank you Tracy.

Incredible! Congrats on the Pileated Woodpecker! Out of curiosity, who is your football (soccer) team??

@@BritHikesOntario that's awesome. Currently, that's a much better situation than being a Chelsea fan like me hahaha.
Im a lfc fan so we both have a shared enemy 😂
Hope you guys take it this year. Would prefer a team whose money isn't quite as shady.
