🦁👑Happy 30th anniversary to The King of All Disney Films!👑🦁
Muchas gracias, it was the best gift of all, and Happy soon The Lion King's 30th anniversary :)))
Still the king of Disney movies. Happy 30th, Lion King. Here's to many more.
Yes!
Yep. I agree.
Yes it's in my top 3 favorite Disney movies list
1.) The Fox and the Hound
2.) The Lion King
3.) The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Touched every 90s kid's heart and continues to impact children even today ❤🦁
Dude, it's behind the scenes stuff and it still had me cry. This is the sort of teamwork and mindset these filmmakers should have. I really hope to build my own team with people who have such passion for storytelling and connecting with the human experience!
If you love this film you'll cry watching this.
Yep
@@thedisneyarchivesi LITERALLY LOVE THIS MOVIE SM YOU GUYS DID A WONDERFUL JOB 😊🥲🥲
As a person who not only grew up with this movie but saw this in the theatres as a child … oh how the genius of this movie resonates so much every year that I rewatch it as a go through my own circle of life. Every aspect of this movie touches a part of my life in such a profound way. Truly touches me on how the Disney imagineers were able to create this masterpiece in such a humanistic standpoint. BRAVA!
here we are 30 years later and still a masterpiece
The Lion King was the greatest Disney movie ever made. 🦁👑🍿🎬😎
Congratulations and thank U, Disney. Outstanding work on making Lion King a cartoon. The movie's animation is beautiful and stunning, the story was entertaining and the music was so awesome. The cast of the movie also did a great job.
One of my favorite Disney movies growing up!
Current Disney Animation team should watch this. Look at their thought process on everything single details and creating a compelling story that strikes the heart of the audience. I feel like they need to come back to this so they can make more successful original films. Recent ones haven't been good in my opinion.
MUFASA: I Will Always Be With You!
91’ baby, this is the greatest Disney film of all time 👑

My Favourite Disney Movie ❤
Mine Too
They made absolute magic.
One of if not my favorite Disney movies
12:46 Fun fact: That's Stitch from Lilo & Stitch! Chris Sanders voiced him, he also wrote and directed the movie itself.
The Lion King is already 30 years old!!!
Still the best Disney movie ever made
Made $312.8 million domestically and $763.4 million worldwide on a $45 million budget, highest grossing animated movie at that point
Won an Oscar for best original score and best original song
9 Grammy nominations too
Highest selling soundtrack of all time
Director Rob Minkoff successfully adapts an animalized version of William Shakespeare's Hamlet for kids conveying a philosophy never forgetting where we came from and we have a place in this world saying we are all connected
The characters are memorable, the songs are legendary, the animation is beautiful, and the music still as iconic
The film was a risk indeed that impressively paid off giving Disney the push forward
The opening gives me chills everytime bringing a tear to my eyes
Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble, there's more to being king than getting your way all the time, we are only brave when we have to be, why worry about what's not our problem, sometimes we have to put the past behind us
The overall message of the movie is that even though the past can hurt you can either run from it or learn from it, it's a great thing to get behind, it's okay to go home
The movie works because of its sheer scope and magnitude although some of the comedy is hit and miss plus most will accuse the film ripping off a similar Japanese property called Kimba
But it is about a young cub coming into his own getting past tragedy to become who he is
The animation is gorgeous with the African savannah backdrops especially the stampede sequence; the adrenaline, the music, the shots, and the sheer intensity it was made for the big screen
It helps they had animal experts study actual behaviors of lions to capture their movements on the drawing pages
They also do not skimp out on the harsh moments particularly with Jonathan Taylor-Thomas' acting, he acts it so perfectly letting all the emotions sink in
The death of Mufasa affected me heavily like so many being so visceral going all the way
The soundtrack is one of the best out there because the score by Hans Zimmer is so majestic and sweeping, say what you will about Hakuna Matata but the rest of the songs are extremely catchy thanks to Tim Rice
Be Prepared is one of the best villain songs with Can You Feel The Love Tonight being the most romantic yet also rekindling hope with blossoming love
With Elton John it only adds to the appeal even his cover on Circle of Life and Can You Feel the Love Tonight
The ending I have to say is one of the best in cinema, an example of how you wrap up a grand epic story
It's unbelievable how much of a cultural shift this had sparking merchandise, video games, clothing, a direct to video sequel, two tv shows, a remake, a Broadway musical, and attractions at Disneyworld next to Animal Kingdom
'Lion King' has become one of Disney's biggest cornerstone franchises clocking in at only 90 minutes firing on all cylinders appealing to kids but also adults given its grown up themes like brother vs brother, jealousy, greed, regicide, and childhood trauma taking creative risks in storytelling spanning generations
As I said before this is absolutely the best thing Disney has ever done with its grand scale being massive
In the last moments about the letter it was so relatable ,but when my dad passed and I remember watching this movie with my dad and siblings and when we rewatched it it after his passing honestly well it obviously made us emotional but it did show us what my dad will always tell us about life that one day he or my mom or anyone we loved will not be there but they will always watch us and take care of us.
Disney really was a goldmine of innovation, creativity and very well throughout stories that you could identify with. The Lion King is Disney's crowning achievement in my opinion. I can still remember watching on VHS for the first time. So grateful to be born in that time and to have experienced that time period.
NALA: Aww 🥰
Scar: Now, You’re Mine!
I love the animal documentaries depicting the characters from the movie. Especially the Meerkat one. I love those little guys! They’re so cute! 🥰🥰🥰
1:25:14 I think I can hear Ed singing
🦁🎉Happy 30th anniversary to Disney's worldwide phenomenon! Exciting announcement! The Lion King will be released back in theaters for the 30th anniversary celebration on July 12th!!🎉🦁

Movies like The Lion King & Speed are movies that literally have zero haters. You watch them once & love them forever. June 1994 was such a great era for movies
ZAZU: Oh My Goodness!
1:00:43 So that's Hans did it, he used this piano to make different kinds of music synths
I'm gonna add all time stamps
Still, it’s nice that Hans Zimmer brought in an orchestra besides African music.
I'm only 1/3 in, but I just wanted to thank you for making me appreciate and therefore love The Lion King EVEN MORE than I already did by showing how much thought, care, research, and effort went into making this MASTERPIECE!!!!!!! It's still not as good as its sequel, though.

We'll have to see about that ;)
I met the animator of Pumbaa (Tony Bancroft) at a church in Burbank, California in 2019. I took a picture with him and spoke to him in Mickey's voice. I met the voice actress of young Nala (Niketa Calame) at Mouse-Con in Bakersfield, California in 2024. I spoke to her in Mickey's voice and asked her where she audition to be a voice actor at Disney.
So what did she say?
@outofrhythm9670 She told me the place where she auditioned was the Disney Studios (in Burbank), where was the Mickey's wizard hat (from Fantasia) was.
@@kevinestrada977 I'm low key jealous and more happier for you. I can't meet them because I'm not from the same country but this movie defined my whole life man. Great you got to meet them. Now go meet Aaron Blaise. The guy animated lions.
@outofrhythm9670 Thank you. I met other famous people who worked on Disney and Pixar films. I am not sure if I can meet him.

I thought this documentary would include the voice over team too~
Un film pas comme les autres films de Disney >>> 😍🔥
Origins: we took a movie called Kimba the white lion and literally changed the first letter of the name.
We also made his girlfriend the White Lion.
Hence Lion King
Can u do Mulan's World?
We'll check, thanks.

Hooray! Most of these people didn't get paid royalties for the live action remake!
😔😔🥺🥺 what they created is timeless
I had no idea this existed! What home video edition was this taken from?
Not sure. Unknown source.
I’m pretty sure this is from the Platinum Edition DVD from 2003. This was during that great period of physical media when they would put at least an hour-and-a-half’s worth of bonus features on their dvds.
1:24:02 ayo they just called a lycaon a stripped hyena
they didnt even mentioned the original japenese cartoon who disney copied frame by frame The white lion
I think story of both film is different ❤️
Because it isn't a copy. Watch YMS video. He's proving that you've all been lied to
Excuse me disney may I copy lion king to teach you a lesson for copying kinba the lion since it's not your movie?
This is a fan made channel, not official.
Only the last tiny bit of this looong video is dedicated to the actual animation process. THAT is why Disney Animation is dying. Because they don't care.
