- On this edition of Rock Album Review, I review to the brand new album from Liam Gallagher & John Squire! The Oasis frontman and Stone Roses guitar genius have teamed up for one of the most anticipated rock albums of the year! Not only did I review the new album, I also played some of the new tracks myself!
As a massive Oasis and Liam Gallagher fan, I was beyond excited to hear this new record, which features the singles 'Just Another Rainbow' and 'Mars To Liverpool'.

What did you think of the new Liam Gallagher & John Squire album? Let me know in the comments, and make sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! 🤘🎸
It's fcking terrible, if you're expecting any other songs to be anywhere near as good as Rainbow then forget about it. Mars to liverpool is like an okay b -side from the Rainbow single, but then there's not one decent song after that. This is just a cash grab to be honest, it's an awful record.
It’s has an indie vibe and the classic rock influences we expected. Hearing Squire’s leads gives me chills and Liam is my favorite singer so I love the collaboration. It gives me the feeling the roses and early oasis does. I think it’s a great record.
Its a great collaboration for sure, you're right about the early Oasis sound
Really agree with you, can't wait till summer to listen to Mars to Liverpool
Its gonna be so sweet! 😎
thanks for the review
Thanks for watching! 🤘
This record is going to be the record of the year for me. I have been waiting for something like this for a while. So fresh and new!
That's awesome, it will def be on my Top 10 of the year too
I got that Oasis poster too! And the shirt! Love that tour
It was awesome, we were lucky to see them
It's a really cool lp - Squire is such a fun and soulful player.
He really is! So easy to listen to
Felt the same tbf on first listen...but it's grown on me....squires guitar is majestic unlike some of the lyrics ..liam does what liam does ..but voice is probably over produced probably be better live....love liam singing the blues"Im a wheel" probably my favourite track....Great review by the way ...keep up the content..
Its growing on me too, I dig it! Thanks for watching!
10 times through ... its grown on me.. its Great!!😊
Its growing on me too!
I very much echo your sentiments. As a massive Oasis and Stone Roses fan I was excited for this, but it left me wanting. Not awful, by an means, but it's the epitome of 'fine'.
Exactly! We were all expecting more, not sure how much I'll listen to this compared to the other Gallagher solo records
Great album review but you should check out stone roses debut and second coming
Its actually bad that I haven't listened to Stone Roses as much considering Oasis is my fav band ever lol
oh… good review. I think it’s better than you think - Mother Nature is wonderful - was whistling to that tune walking kids to school. I’m a wheel 2:30 and on is just wow!!!!
I'm gonna give Mother Nature's Song another listen, im sure it will grow on me!
It's the worst album of the year so far, it's fcking terrible and I mean it's really bad.
There's on good song on the album and that's Rainbow. Mar's to Liverpool is okay but there's nothing else on this album that doesn't sound like a bad b - side.
@@iwannadrinkfromyourwideeye2635 Worst album is a bit extreme I'd say but it definitely doesn't deliver on its potential
@@NickCinoMusic it's pure shit. How do you like them apples. It's a con to make easy money 💰💰😀
Squire has talent hendrix page riff
He's an amazing player 🎸
Idk, I think it's the perfect time for Liam and Noel to get together again
Bin and gone!!
That would be cool but doesn't look likely 😭😭
tbh i prefer your vocals, (a bit M Stipe) than Liams.
That is a big compliment, thank you! 🤘
My neighbours will know this word for word. Lol 🤣🌈
As they should! Lol
Admit it mate it’s a disappointment. The singles were tge best dongs😊
Lol youre right I'm afraid to admit it, it's so weird to be this blah on a Gallagher release 😭😭
Let's be honest, apart from the first 2 songs which were ok the rest of the album is pretty weak....it's still better than all the modern music that is in the charts today but that's not saying much. I love oasis and Liam and squire is a solid guitarist but it's a 4.5/10 for me.
Its definitely not as strong as I'd hoped but could grow on me
I wouldn’t say it’s better than some of the releases on the exact same day tbh- have a listen to Yard Act “ where’s my utopia “ a much better , fresher and relevant album immediately . Last week IDLES have just released “ tangk” which is also a superior album produced by Nigel Godrich both irreverent albums compared to LG & JS
@@NickCinoMusicgreat album, 8,5. But, I'm a wheel, I'm so bored, it's garbage. The worst liam solo song. His best solo album cmon you know.
They should have called the new collaboration "Mastitis". Because with they both end up looking like tits, it is so poor overall. Oasis version of the Rutles. I honestly thought the "fuck you too" part was a joke until I found the song. Even the title name is funny "Make it up as you go along"
If nothing else this album will make people laugh, and there is no harm in that.
It does have a sense of humor, that's for sure lol
The album is shite a cash grab
Not a bad record but Council Skies is much better
Agreed, Council Skies is amazing
I agree but I would argue Liam has had the better solo career.
Well maybe in terms of popularity he's had a more successful career indeed (Knebworth and stuff) but I don't think he's ever released an album which was better musically then any of Noel's. Maybe As You Were comes quite close to it, but that's pretty much all.
Id disagree noels first 2 albums are untouchable @@MultiJoe84
It’s crap …. A 5yr old could have wrote those lyrics…. But it will sell because it’s Liam and John …. That’s a fact ….
Hard to disagree with that I nearly choked laughing when I heard "Your'e my rainbow" and Liam singing the colours. "Mars to Liverpool" is OK.
But it is very hard not laugh at the album, it sort of sounds a comedian skit of Oasis. Like what the Rutles did with the Beatles.
"Make It Up As You Go Along? thank you for your thoughts and prayers and fuck you too" 🤣
John Squire is not a great lyricist for sure
@@NickCinoMusic The annoying part is Squire is capable of some great guitar playing but he does not seem to know when to vary it, if he had someone to direct him maybe he would be better.
Telling him not to over do it and stop being repetitive, and he could be capable of some great licks.
But the lyrics? I am never sure whether they are Squire's best effort, or he is joking with the listener.
It’s embarrassing…. You have Liam probably the only true hell raising rock legend alive, and you have Squire probably the best guitarist alive…. And then we have this new album… It sounds like a rock and roll hits of Nursery Rhymes…. I wonder if they will give out free jelly & ice cream at their Gigs 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
@@Boredoasisfan-kw9ymbest guitarist alive? What about Jimmy page, Brian May and Eric Clapton ?
