My favorite part was that they used a map of the entire US to show their journey and it's just two pins in the same spot
The Pepto Bismol after the plain chicken killed me
That stray grain of salt has killed many a Connecticut hipster before.
IKR😅
@@peadar-o Fun fact: It only puts them in a permanent coma.
It's like a skit in an alternative universe where the Siracha craze and Nashville Hot Chicken don't exist.
Hopefully you set your affairs in order beforehand...
The reaction from the audience at their pronunciation of "bodega" was perfect! Genuinely shocked.
Meh :/
Did you see how the dark-haired guy in the blue jacket ran across the street to the bodega? Hilarious!
What??? Do you mean I have been saying it wrong this whole time? LOL
@@rustybros HOW DO UOU SAY IT???
Going forward, I will forever pronounce it that way. 😂
“Can I get some mayo and bread” had me spitting up my drink.
😂😂😅
It's what my friend used to order at the sausage stand every time she was wasted back when we were teenagers. And a pickled cucumber. Good times
@@annaf3915 Isn't a pickled cucumber a...pickle?
@@HappyHubris Good point. I guess I put the main emphasis on the mayo on bread because I never heard anyone order that again in my whole life until now. Thinking back at that sausage stand there was a clear distinction between pickled cucumber (in vinegar etc) and salted cucumber (pickled in salt and barely edible unless very drunk). Oh the 90s....
"It's a melting pot of THREE CULTURES." That line cracked me up.
I laughed hard at that (and I’m European), too fucking funny 😂
RDJ for life 🔊
As someone from Long Island, I can confirm this is exactly what it's like to sometimes go into the city a few times a year and pretend you live there.
My brothers gjrl is from strong island. Mine the bx and my mom is frm BK. We al lived in AZ. Been out Here for a few years. Long story, my brother brings his girl over to the house and she said she is from the city. Now I myself and not from the city either, but i dont claim it either. Man, my gf and my mom grilled this poor girl so much, she finally came out and admited she is from Long Island. I guess out here she was able to claim he was from the city and no one questioned it before lol until she met some real city girls haha but shout to Long Island.
I'm from Staten Island and agree
@@TippyHippy That's a marker for psychopathy. Find a counsellor and learn how to manage it.
staten islanders are way better then people from long island tbh
I visited Long Island years ago and I still refer to it as the time I visited NYC. 😂
“My father is a lawyer,” was delivered perfectly.
The voice! He turned into a Karen/Ken!
Bro the going back home for COVID joke literally killed me. I love the way they’re making fun of college kids acting all New Yorker until the going got tough and left on their daddies money.
What a shit take. They literally closed the dorms. How exactly did you expect them to stick around?
@@kayleesteiner-olson2183 i think they were more making fun of this idea that these kids come to NY for one semester and already think they know the ins and outs of the city. But when covid happened they ran as fast as they could to get out. Actual New Yorkers didn’t have that option.
I’m one of these people and I wanted to stay here. Universities didn’t let us unfortunately.
Does snl pay you to explain their jokes? Whatever it is, it's not enough. And by not enough, I mean too much. Joke explanation, FOC.
@@alanclinton4239 yes sorry Im only 10
The fact that the “over three cultures” joke didn’t get a laugh is a crime
Seriously! I restarted the video three times for that little masterpiece!
And the 3 cultures they named weren’t even the most prominent! Way more Dominicans, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans than Mexicans in New York!
@@OvSpP the joke is that all Hispanic cultures in NY are "Mexican", and all white people are Italian or ACT like wannabe Italians in the eyes of these preppy ass white boys from CT.
Bc it was inaccurate
@@nickyc9042 That's the joke. They're three rich white kids from the suburbs and they don't know what they're talking about.
eight grown men chasing each other in a circle around the bodega shelves is what got me
The guys’ confusion when Quinta told them that she “was Jamaican” deserved way more of a reaction from the audience!
It didn’t get a reaction because the most of the SNL audience is some version of the people in the skit
@@user-eu4sw6tc2w 90% of the audience are weekend vacationers from the rural mid-west and are about as comedy sophisticated as a mud puddle.
I love when they say New York they show chase bank, Applebees and a trash can.
I laugh everytime I walk by the Applebees in Times Square... long line of tourists paying 3x+ what it costs back home for generic chain food. Restaurant Row (authentic Broadway restaurants) are nearby and have much better actual "New York" food for the same price!
Yep, that's the joke. 🤔
@@cmnyc4286”walking by Times Square”
You’ve never been to New York in your life. Guarantee it. 😂
The great thing about this sketch is that it looks and sounds just like the kind of show that usually comes on after SNL.
Wait, other parts of the country don't get Castle after SNL? I had no idea that was a local affiliate thing!
@@SeanFrog Where I live, it's one of those nightlife magazine shows. It used to be "Showtime at the Apollo" for an hour, followed by an old 90-minute rerun of Saturday Night Live (which I actually liked, because in case a newer episode that came on at 11:30 wasn't good, you can fall back on a classic episode, though some past seasons of SNL, like seasons 6, 11, and 20, were bad and not all the jokes have aged well, though most of the SNL episodes that aired were either the original Not Ready for Primetime era episodes from 1975 to spring of 1980, the Dick Ebersol-era episodes from seasons 7 to 10, or the 1990s episodes: the "Bad Boys of SNL" era, season 20, and the Will Ferrell era. On occasion, they did air season 11 episodes, but the only ones I saw were the episode hosted by Ronald Reagan's son and the episode hosted by Griffin Dunne and the only Jean Doumanian episode they aired was the first time Jamie Lee Curtis hosted, which didn't even air on most affiliates, because Pope John Paul II died at that time and they decided to air his funeral instead of a horrendously mediocre episode of SNL from a forgotten era). Sadly, that changed after 2007.
NBC canceled Live at the Apollo for this. Riots in the streets.
First Look ? I enjoyed it more than a couple times but awful time slot for it. Felt more like a Sunday afternoon type of show
@@muckymucks Yes, they did. It's years later and I'm still upset over it.
This is literally a tourist guide of what NOT to do when you come to NYC 💀
Coulda added everyone walking by and faster than them walking....!
Mock their accent, that'll make them like you.
Rice, the thinking man’s chips! 💀
Walking ALL the way to the Bronx for a Bodega KILLED ME
There was a bodega next to the Jamaican restaurant in Queens!
And when they cut to "we walked because we couldn't find the subway" they showed them looking confused at a map of Brooklyn 😭
They are *masters* of escalation comedy. So fucking good. Every video is a delight. I don’t watch most sketches, but I never miss PDD
Same! Never miss a PDD sketch!!
PDD is the shows only recurring sketch and it never fails at being hilarious. Mispronunciation of Bodega was priceless❤️
Weekend Update doesn't count? Commercial parodies? Both are SNL staples.
@@ejyounggun08 no, Weekend Update been around since season 1, Episode 1 and it’s not ‘a sketch.
Except for the last several years or so, SNL was popular because of recurring sketches with the same characters, for 4 decades. Ever hear of Wayne’s World? There were dozens of them
@@batgurrl What do you mean no? Weekend Update isn't a staple? Yet it's been a part of the show since the beginning. I don't understand that. I'm aware that every decade SNL has different recurring sketches based on the rotation of cast members and I love Wayne's World. My Dad used to say he quit watching SNL when Dana left because it wasn't funny anymore. That's a lie. There's not been one decade where the show isn't funny. What there hasn't been is an entire decade where the show is funny but no show is funny (especially live comedy) for 10 straight years. They all have ebbs and flows.
@@ejyounggun08 weekend Update has indeed been a staple from the start. I just didn’t agree with calling it a sketch.
Once they started doing ‘cold opens’ , they had one the vast majority of times, even a small serious one after a tragic event.
@@batgurrl Sure. It's a segment of the show and not a sketch.
The way he pronounced “Bodega”😂😂😂
Perfectly accurate representation of the post-grad transplants who live in the east village and LES and make it New York their entire personality
Williamsburg/Bushwick too
Watching the construction worker toss a line cutter across the room was deeply satisfying.
That petit prince was pretty powerful
“..you talk like we talk.”
PDD never dissapoints, but this is their greatest masterpiece. I cannot decide which moment was the best: plain ass jerkchicken, my daddy is a lawyer, pepto bismol, the cab swiping them off the street in the end... 😂
Connor is their greatest masterpiece
the cab at the end for sure....but the whole thing was off the chain
It's the attention to detail. I read the comments in the video, and they were brutal. One was just all blurred out 😆 and what about calling her a fake Jamaican, that was borderline racist 😅
pronunciation of bodega
Three cultures
"BAH-DEGA" 🤣
My mom loves PDD because, unlike me, they never disappoint.
💀💀💀
Sick self burn/yo mamma joke 🔥
@@thyhandrevolve 🥦🐎
Where's your Dad?
Good joke, but this was the first PDD disappointment. Normal corny SNL shit.
"authetic jerk chicken" this has no seasoning and still had to take a Pepto Bismol after😅🤣
I’m from Connecticut who worked at a music venue for 25 years. I can’t count how many times 20 somethings would come to a show with fake tickets or were ejected for fighting etc, who would yell “my dad is a lawyer”. The best was from a very drunk young woman who kept saying “my dad is the cop of Connecticut”. I still haven’t deciphered what that meant.
He is THE cop of THE connecticut
Rice bit was funny af
Omg yes
I was dead with that plate of boiled chicken breast 😂😂
Don’t you mean AUTHENTIC JERK CHICKEN?
The PDD crew are always awesome! The "My daddy is a lawyer" had me in tears!
Bruh when the construction guy just effortlessly threw him across the room lol
The fact that the premise is supposed to be street eats but they didn't even try any street food apart from a single taco. 😂😂
The map of the continental United States was a nice helpful touch.
Throwback to Quinta's Buzzfeed days. Love it. Lol
The way he said "bodega" broke my brain.
Oh, the anger!! Lol
I think I'd like these three writers doing their own show more than I like SNL. I'm glad Lorne is giving them a sketch in every episode. The geeky chemistry is strong with these three.
They do have a movie coming out later this year. August I believe.
They also have their own RUclips channel. They were making videos way before SNL hired them.
^^^ OP & following *two* comments are just the three duds from this sketch trying to promote themselves!! 🤣😂🤣
their daddies are longtime producers of SNL.
They’re trying to replicate the success they had with the lonely island boys.
"I hope the building you're working on explodes"
Omfg........
I didn’t see that coming! I think I stopped breathing momentarily! 😮😂
Rocko got tossed lol! They killed me with that Blank Ass Chicken.
That smile on his face when he said "Ah, rice. The thinking man's chips." 😅
"Rice, the thinking man's chips" lmaooooooo
john's run at 1:35 haha
I do not want to think of the day that Please Don’t Destroy stops… We all love these guys and I hope this stays as long as possible on SNL!!!
I have a feeling they'll create their own spin-off soon enough. Massive effortless talent, great genuine chemistry, a GenZ take on that old familiar Seinfeld-esque vibe of over-thinking trivial everyday problems! :) Oh, and let's not forget the on-point editing and well-thought-out effects! Those effects are the very reason why PDD cannot be the L in SNL. They need their own non-live show.
@@kenster8270 I dunno if people understand how young Gen Z is. I would argue these guys are Millennials and embodying the millennial humor of first gen youtube sketch comedy. They're all almost 30
@@felleroerdere3351 Could be. To me they seem like 20-somethings, but maybe that's just because I myself was born during the Cold War (!) so they are all this indistinguishable blob of youthfulness 😁🤷
John's little hands at his sides run across the street was perfection.
I can't believe there weren't laughs at, "Rice... The thinking man's chips..." 😂
I've never seen someone toast with Pepto 🤣
“Blank ass piece of chicken” is by far my favorite line
So good. These guys consistently make me laugh with every skit.
3 cultures
• Mexican
• Italian
• College Students
I love these guys they are so adorkable.
I’m from Connecticut and moved here for school and I feel called out… but it’s 100% accurate
This shit is trash. I just bought a Mets cap yesterday...Danbury
The part where the chase each other in a circle in the bodega never ceases to amaze
It's like an episode of Scooby Doo
“You talk like we talk” 😂
This skit was 100% not a gay fail! Love these dudes!
They need a travel food show where they go around and annoy the hell out of everyone
“Michael Jackson enters - SHAMONE” - absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
Love that they found their confidence, groove and platform.
My husband is from Jamaica and I'm from CT he found this hilarious 🤣🤣.. SNL branching out 😂
This is perfection from beginning to end! And the jokes come every 3 seconds! But it's the perfect adaptation of food bros that Ja-makes this a work of art!
PDD guys is just so funny and good at acting. I love the part where Marcello was acting as a construction worker.
I love the old guy saying, “ shut the fuck up.” 😂
The construction guys scene was too satisfying 😂
Give these guys some Emmy’s, they deserve them

You have to be kidding....by far the weekest sketch these guys have done.
I'm crying not eating the plain chicken 🤣🤣
I love these guys! Here's to their continued success.
Would love to see more of these characters
characters?
Hilarious!
Them being chased on security camera 🤣
I still need a sketch of these guys as conan Obrien, and the jimmys!
This has more Lonely Island vibes than their usual very lonely island-esque vibes lol. Love it
as a native new yorker i fucking love this sketch so much.
Drinking the Pepto-Bismol after eating the plain chicken was a subtle detail I missed seeing the first time around.
Why do I love the way they all walk so hilarious
I love when the guys say the Jamaican restaurant clerk doesn't sound Jamaican, not knowing that many residents of the community are the children of immigrants.
The joke is that Jamaica in New York has nothing to do with Jamaica the island. They're named after different things, it's just a coincidence they have the same name.
i’m actually proud of y’all at this point lmaooo. hilarious 😂😂😂
The chase inside the bodega around the aisle. Dead.
PDD is just hilarious! Why was he running across the street like that?? lmao Quinta Brunson KILLED every skit! Hey, SNL, bring her back!!
Love how they mark the places they visit in NYC on a US map
Thanks for making me unexpectedly and loudly snort
Rocko does way too good “Universal laaaanguage”
“one bite at a time ;)”
also “the thinking man’s chips”
and then when he gets thrown 😂
“The BOD-EGA” ABSOLUTELY CRACKED ME UP 🤣🤣
This week's skits where exceptional
I lived in NYC for 20 years, and I think this kind of stuff has been going on since forever; social media just adds an annoying new twist. People move there as college freshmen and after a few months they think they're experts. After being there a year, I thought I was an expert. After 20 years, I realized how little I still knew about the city.
This is probably one of my favorite please don't destroy videos
I feel like every time I see one of these please don’t cut shorts I say this is definitely my favorite!!! I love them all! But this was for sure hilarious af! Loved how they encompassed that “cool guy” demeanor you see tv hosts play off 😂 great job guys!
Missed the chance to say Mayo on bread the Ocky way😂
Please do one in Chinatown. And I'm saying this as a Chinese person.
FLUSHING
idk what snl would have done this season without these guys.
yeah and "No Pepperazzi" 😂🤣 ...I havent seen Quinta's show but yeah she left a good impression ...she definitely has that "Chill Bride" vibe about her 😎
easily the best part of the show every week
One of the funniest clips they have had on in a long time. Should have been longer
For me, it's the announcement of TABBY CAT & the "Ayoo boss, lemme get some mayo and bread.."
Ah “bah dugha”. Love these guys and for real nyc talking
Nobody:
PDD: Let’s end it with a car crash
Lol, probably making fun of how tourists are always posing in the middle of the street
@@Native_Creation I’m talking about pretty much all of their sketches 😂
I'd watch this every single episode if they went to different types of eateries and got up to this mischief. loved it!
The restaurant staff would kill them if they did. 😅
great idea!
The "bohdega" lol
Might as well be Long Islanders.
As a resident of flushing queens I’m glad these guys are tacitly agreeing that physical violence is an appropriate response to guys like this
Would love see more these characters.
This was the best please don't destroy yet
“The thinking man’s chips”
This is SUCH a great satire of those obnoxious food/travel shows and pretentious youtubers! 🤣
