Thanks for the great review of the CX-30 trim levels. I'm a convert to Mazda after four decades of BMWs. Last year, I bought a CX-30 Carbon Edition (non-turbo) for my spouse, and we took a 9,000-mile road trip in it. I liked it so much on the extended drive that I'm selling it to my son and getting a CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus.
I went with the 2023 CX-30 Carbon Edition. I upgraded the stereo with a JBL spare tire subwoofer, and that really made a difference! This vehicle punches well above its class with quality materials and ride. No one will feel like they "settled" choosing this vehicle!
Great breakdown....looking to pickup a '24 CX-30 as soon as they come in at my local dealer....already have a '23 CX-5 (replaced a lease end Camry) - awesome quality Mazdas- interiors are fantastic for this class segment. For CX-30 - either going for non-turbo premium or Base Turbo Carbon - but I live in high traffic area so prob Turbo is overkill for me.... .....the 191hp 4cyl on my CX-5 is pretty decent mover for regular highway merging and passing especially with "sport" mode which gives you more low end RPM torque from stop or when merging from slow roll ...prob. quickest feeling non-turbo compact SUV in the class... won't be racing any Chargers but more than adequate for safe highway maneuvering where you don't feel like your car is dangerously slow so lighter CX-30 with that non-Turbo shld be even better mover.
I don't think you'd regret the Turbo Carbon. MPG numbers don't take too big of a hit and it sounds like you'd love the extra torque when you could actually find some open road. Plus that interior looks awesome! Best of luck and thanks for your comment!
Great breakdown. I'm planning to get a Premium Plus. I like the interior of the carbon editions, but the lack of a HUD is very noticable when i drive them. I also want the wireless android auto since the USB ports are only in the armrest console. It's pricey compared to the base model, but the added features will prevent buyer's remorse in years to come. The only thing missing is ventilated seats.
I dont know what Mazda is thinking.....they really need to think about their color combinations....I seriously was abt to pickup my 2nd Mazda in 2 years...a CX-30.....I already have CX-5 Non Turbo in Silver and love it but the only Turbo Premium in my area were all white and 1 DarK blue.....not my scene but one was ALMOST perfect - Machine Gray Metallic with Black rims....PERFECT and the you open the door and WHITE LEATHER!!!??? *BARF!!!!! Hello Mazda? A Turbo....a Dark Gray with Black wheels.....guess who your customer is for that combo in a Turbo -98% GUYS! Specifically mostly Alphas males.......you dont put out that machine metallic with black rims in a Turbo and then NOT finish it up with the Black and Brown or the Terracotta/Red - thats a layup!! White leather destroys the entire VIBE of that exterior feel and Turbo spirit..... keep your White leather for Platinums or Soul Reds with Steel silver rims and non-Turbos......what a miss.....i ran away from that monstrosity and snagged the Mazda 3 Turbo instead with BLACK LEATHER-😂
They don’t require high octane, it’s just recommended and the way to get the full rated power figures. It’s totally safe to run 87 octane in the Mazda turbo engines, it may just drop the output slightly. It drops slightly enough you may not even notice unless you’re really pushing the car. Thanks for watching!
I believe it is only present on the non-turbo engines, and as far as I know there’s no way to turn it off. The only verifiable info I could find is an online owners manual that stated some models have cylinder deactivation but didn’t specify which do or don’t. Thanks!
Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trim levels new for 2024, 10.25” screen on the higher trims (not 100% sure if that’s new) and added USB-C inputs. Generally speaking though, most people probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the two
This is the best review video I’ve ever seen in my entire life, thank you brother.
Thank you!!
The Premium Plus Turbo is my favorite in red. Don’t buy cars often, just as well get the top model. Thanks.
Can’t argue with that logic, thanks for sharing!

Very well said, and that subwoofer sounds like a nice upgrade. Thanks for your comment!
Great breakdown....looking to pickup a '24 CX-30 as soon as they come in at my local dealer....already have a '23 CX-5 (replaced a lease end Camry) - awesome quality Mazdas- interiors are fantastic for this class segment.

Been eyeing the Carbon edition. Looks like a neat subcompact car
Solid choice and very cool red leather interior. Thanks for your comment!
I bought the carbon edition turbo and I love it. I bought it last week. Absolutely love it.
That’s awesome, congrats!

The added power and all the added features definitely make it worth it. Good luck!

You’ll probably be happier with the 3 anyways, congrats!
The high end CX30's that require 93 octane would be desirable if not for the high octane. Do all turbo's require high octane?

That was helpful, thanks. I have a CX30 Select now and really was to go all the way to the top premium trim.
@@robertdesautels8715 Certainly worth looking into!
Lol you want 93 octane to keep the injectors clean and remove sludge.
Do they all have cylinder disengagement, and can this be turned off? Thanks.

Are there significant differences between the 2024s and 2023s?

Is there any trim with 360 camera?
Just the top Turbo Premium Plus trim
Which model has best gas mileage
The non-turbo models are rated at 24 MPG city and 31 highway
Pricing is in usd or aud?
USD, I also think the trim offerings may be a bit different in other markets as well. Thanks for watching!
