Mr. Vilips, as a father myself of 2 sons, I would like congratulate you for the amazing job you are doing with Karl! Also the way you make these videos, top quality and commentary. Congratulations to Karl also ofcourse!
I actually work at a golf course about an hour from Barrie, I clean golf carts, my family doesn't have the most money so the only way I could afford to play was to work at a golf course and play for free, I now get out 5 times a week and I am a 5.5 handicap, although Karl is a year younger than me he is still a huge inspiration! Great playing Karl keep it rolling
+Zack Cameron Know where you're coming from Dude. Check out this video of how Karl got his clubs before he was sponsored. ruclips.net/video/A2P1fP0RSEs/видео.html Cheers
Karl ... many congratulations on your 2nd AJGA victory. You certainly are an outstanding talent and it's always a pleasure watching you play such good golf.
+funk44 He's certainly getting there. Karl was holding back on this course because it was only 6600 yards, but the Barclays measured just 6650 in yesterdays 3rd round. No wonder there were a pair of 63's recorded. Cheers
Karl and Dad Congratulations on your second open feather, keep it simple allowing Karl's talent to shine it's been an enjoyable to view. The requisite in becoming legend is before us.

Paul - you have a second career as a golf commentator - you just haven't realized it yet. Great HD video, as always. I am honored to be a proud supporter of Karl's gold career. When Karl hits his driver my wife says, "What is THAT sound?" hehehe
+Tim Robinson Thanks Tim. I sometimes think that the big guy upstairs is watching after Karl, as we didn't plan to be here in Canada after US Border Officials denied us re-entry, which is why he competed here. Hopefully he'll also work out a way to get us back in, as we can't afford a migration lawyer and Karl may miss out on the prestigious Ping Invitational in 5 weeks time. Playing in that may actually get Karl a start in a PGA Tour event. Cheers
so proud of you man ! big congrats love the vids man and u remind me of my fav player Jason day bro your a sick player keep it up ! bright future ahead !!!
Great win Karl, Fantastic finish on the 18th. I remember the first competition i won as a Junior. I unfortunately was only 1 shot clear and bogeyed the 18th to go in to a playoff. However you done very well to keep your nerves in tact and closed the round in an awesome manner. Congratulations buddy.
+Them_Two Thank you. Yes, closing the deal comes with maturity, as Karl has won a few major tournaments after play-off's and lost one of them. He's dicovered that it's much better not to let it go to a play-off. Cheers
Congrats man! I'm a huge fan and I work hard to become as good as you! Pleasure watching all of your videos and see how fellow juniors like you handle yourself:) my handicaps a 0.2 and just watching how to prepare and work helps me with my prep!
Good on you Karl, I have been watching your videos for a while now and me being a kid from Melbourne Australia, you have inspired me to play golf. Good luck in your future tournaments.
+Albruey Melton Driving isn't the only thing of course, but it sure helps in regards to the "Proximity to the hole" stats when your 2nd shot is closer to the Green. Cheers
Karl you are a boss man been watching your videos since you were just a boy if you ever come to the northwest you best get a hold of me and play a couple rounds man congratulations!!!
Sorry if this question has been asked already, but when and how did Karl get so much power? He's only 14 and 5'8", and Karl's already hitting it over 300 yards! Can't wait to see how far he hits it when he's a full grown adult.

Paul, All of Karl's game is good but 2 things really stand out in this round and a lot of this is down to you and what you have drilled into him. 1) Your emphasis on a really high standard of pitching. Karl's pitching looks his greatest strength to me. 2) Karl's ability to recover mentally from a bad shot and not get down on himself. A lot of players would crumble after the opening tee shot and compound the error but Karl just got on with it and hit a great pitch shot and then held the putt. I have noticed in past videos that you have really worked on these 2 areas and the results show. What areas are you working on improving?
+John Hue Hi John. Karl's short game had almost disappeared after 9 months at an academy in Hilton Head, so when I took charge of Karl's game again in March last year my first task was to resurrect that. Task completed. We then worked on taking big scores on just one hole completely out of his game. That took a while, but he has now gone 8 straight tournament rounds without worse than bogey on any hole. Task completed. Whilst at the academy he followed the lead of the spoiled little darlings and disrespected his equipment after a bad shot. I quickly got rid of that attitude, but was amazed that the academy coach seemed unconcerned about that behaviour in the first place. Task completed. Back in Australia Karl had a deadly bunker game. He dis not spend a single session on bunkers whilst at the academy, so I had to fix that. Task completed. We then worked on getting his swing back to the plane which he's historically had. The academy tried to flatten it out, so that took a few months to get back to where we wanted it. Task completed. Now? I'm actually pretty happy with most areas except for his fairway woods. With the Ping Invitational played off 7300 yards he's going to need those working well, so that's our focus these next 5 weeks ahead of that, as well, of course, to get our butts back into the US. I couldn't comment for sure as I don't know what goes on in Karl's head but it sounds like he hit both of those drives further than usual. Looking at the 15th hole shape even just a slight draw on his drive would have left him perfectly set up even with the crusher he hit

im not aware of the politics but keep believing is all i can say
Could you explain more about the "special comps" you're now eligible for and what that means for you as a young up and coming golfer?
+Wayne Johns The AJGA and other sources have t=extremely high ranking events where you can only get into if you're at the top of the Polo Rankings. I was looking at you putter and I like it, any tips for using it?

that ajga camo headcover looks badass
+Bobby Hurst Sure does. It's a Scotty.
Well done Karl
I am curious...How much loft does Karl's putter have? The reason I ask is because he plays the ball quite far back with his putter.
When karl is on the pga tour you should be a commentator ;)
+BenPlays Ha ha, I doubt it. But thanks anyway.
He's already made it to a tour event
Congratz!
you are golf machine but the best of all you look with alot o values! keep going but enjoy every day!

I was thinking of getting the same putter as you, any tips for using it?
Hi! What's your sport jersey called? And well played, enjoyed to see you take this victory!

Cheers for the video, was a nice build up to this video! Question: Why didnt he hit 3 wood on 14,15? out ran the fairway both times?
I couldn't comment for sure as I don't know what goes on in Karl's head but it sounds like he hit both of those drives further than usual. Looking at the 15th hole shape even just a slight draw on his drive would have left him perfectly set up even with the crusher he hit

ok fair enough! Cheers for the comment
Wich tee box did Karl play when he was 11?

1. Does Karl even lift? (serious question and if so how much?)
2. We all know Karl is a brilliant putter for the most part, how does he align his putts? I have watched all his videos and he seems to stand behind the ball but i'm not sure if he lines the letters to his aiming spot.
