I like that Karl has fun with his practice sessions. A lot of times kids parents make them practice and grind and they don't enjoy it. It's good to see Karl enjoy practice.
I've lowered my handicap by 3 strokes using these drills. Thank you! Love the videos!
+josh halasz So, the cheque's in the mail then? LOL
+Karl Vilips not until you turn pro
I enjoyed watching your session, I am beginner and seeing the purpose behind your drills helps me understand more of what I need to be doing and why.
What balls do they have at the practice range. BTW great swing, See u on tour in a couple of years. And great practice facilities.
+Christian Nicholls Golfing They have Titleist NXT, but in good condition.Cheers

Great to see your progress since the first time meeting you and your Dad at The Dunes, Rye, Victoria, Australia. I think you were 6 years old and your dad had the belief in you and I can see you now have a healthy belief in yourself. Also great to see your ability to communicate what you are doing in natural way.
Jason Day played one of his last Amateur Tournaments at the Dunes around that time and again I saw a super star in the making.
Keep up your love of the game and of life and happy times ahead for you and your Dad.
Please check out these RUclips Links on "Mind Training" as is being used by Jason Day today. When you want to check out this area on "Mind Training" using FocusBand to measure your progress, let me know. I have had the good fortune to be learning directly from Graham Boulton, developer of the FocusBand over the last 4 + years. I have written a new book - "The 7 Secrets to Mind Control Golf" Let me know if you would like a copy,
Keep doing great and having fun - your journey is well underway.

+Peter Croker Hi Peter, great to hear from you and thanks for following Karl's golfing odyssey.
Actually, the first time you met Karl was when he was 8 years old and at Sanctuary Cove.
We then met you when Karl was 11 years old at The Dunes, and also, of course, at Sandringham Driving Range where Jonathan Porter coached him.
You were one of first coaches to try to get players to believe in themselves- something which I got highly criticised for by the golfing hierarchy back in Australia for daring to get Karl to believe that nothing was impossible and that if someone was going to the best in the world for his age that it could be him if he worked hard enough towards that.
Your theories were right all along, as Karl is still #1 for his age yet again this year and now ranked #32 on the Polo rankings for all players not yet in college.www.ajga.org/rankingdbfullscreen/index.asp
Hope you're well mate.
Cheers
Thanks for filling in the gaps and getting my time line corrected Belief is the foundation stone in all who wish to achieve at the highest level. Great Golfing
Peter Croker
Ever thought about coming to the uk to play. Even Northern Ireland. Some amazing courses such as royal portrush which will hold the open in a few years and also royal county down. My favourite course is Belvoir park, very underrated
callofderp99 Love to. Send us the tickets and we'll be there.
Cheers
haha maybe when I get a job. good luck for future events
Being 14 almost 15 years old and teaching myself everything I know with the help of my dad. As I'm getting better with a 8 handicap. Do you think taking a lesson from my courses pro is a good thing for me to do or continue doing what I'm doing ... Love the vids keep up the great work Carl
Patrick Skinner That depends on so many variables. Not every club Pro is a good fit for every player, so I'd ask around amongst the better players in your circle before committing to anything.
Cheers
Could you make a video with Karl showing us some alignment stick drills and maybe go into greater detail on how to hit a draw and fade? Thanks
Adam Mills Karl is the worst example of alignment, so it's not a good idea. He can however, show how to fade or draw the ball, so we'll do something on that soon.
Cheers
Ok no problem if possible please make it when he gets back. Cheers
Man your Cold. I wish I could have as much time as you to practice. Thanks for these drills. I will definitely use these
+African Child Cold? About what?
This really helps me .cheers karl
those greens look so so pure
I still use that putting drill to this day!
have to agree with karl. i love the visors more than a hat
Just one of the Best Vidz Thx lots Karl
Great video! Keep it up.
Hi Karl, will you go to San Diego to play the world junior this year? Looking forward to seeing you there!
Anton Ouyang Karl will be there.
Cheers
Anton Ouyang hey it’s Anton the golf god
Are there any drills karl does or did for his distance? Because right nowni am not very long with my high irons. I hit a pw around 125 but hit a five iron around 170. I dont feel that i get enough distance with my 6 and 5 irons. Any suggestion?
Marquise Haliburton Get your shafts looked at.
Cheers
i don't get the point of not putting normally with both hands on this drill? please explain
How does Karl get so good with not practicing daily?
I'm a Sophomore in high school, practice about 6 days a week usually in the summer, and am about a 1 handicap. I practice my short game a ton, but am known for my ball striking. Yet sometimes I go into stretches where I feel as if I cannot strike the ball well at all? I'd like to play a national schedule like Karl before my senior year, but I'm not sure how to get there. Any advice?
(Btw I love your videos, they're very inspiring, I love watching Karl play.)
Streamfiery Oh, that's a big ask. I'd sit down with your coach if I was you.
Cheers
1 is enough to play on the ajga
Streamfiery sometimes being overgolfed can make you go backwards almost. Try doing like 4 or 5 days and not thinking about it on your rest days
Are the range balls there real balls i.e. Pro V1 etc or are they the crappy ones the Brits like me use?
How come Karl does not have a golf membership anywhere
They travel and don't stay at one course
Nice , good job
Hi id just like to ask about a problem ive been having lately and wondered how Karl deals with it. So basically lately ive played quite allot of golf and im constantly suffering with blisters and cuts all over my right hand. Is there any way to prevent this? and how does Karl deal with it?...if he gets them.
Chris golf It can be either the fact that your season is just starting and your hands had become soft over winter, or it could be the grip or the fact that you are hitting off a rock hard range.
Karl carries bandaids in his bag to deal with this sort of thing.
Cheers
Ok thankyou
This helped me a lot thanks
Can you please explain how the handicap works in a video.
+Tyson Dacey We can't do any videos currently, as Karl is in Florida whilst I am staying back in Australia for a couple more months.
Cheers
Did he really say Yeet and deez nuts!!!! LOL
Thomas Bennett Yep, that's Karl for you.
Cheers
Hey is Karl's miss a fade because I see that sometimes he stalls and kinda flips the club with his hands and that could go both ways sometimes it could hook just wondering
Hudson Harris Karl's misses go both ways.
Cheers
What's Karl's handicap right now and how old was he when he had a 14 handicap?
It's currently Plus 3.2, based entirely off his tournament scores. His handicap though the years is available at his website at www.karlgolf.info.
Cheers
What is the stuff in the green bucket
How many times a week does Karl practice? And when he is at the range how many balls does he usually hit?
Callum Ferguson 3 times a week. but only hits 80-odd balls.
Cheers
Karl Vilips Correct
What club did you use for your chipping and bunker shots?
Casey Mumm Anything from a 9i to a 60 for chipping, and usually a 60 for bunkers unless it's more than 30 yards away.
Cheers
he probally hits it tour average
Should do it with 20 shots, last 4 normal for me.
I like it though
oooooh good idea... have a good day!
do you watch crossfield or other youtube golf pros
Matthew Morley No.
why do you lock the whats in the bag vid after a few months
Jake Riley Because they become obsolete once Karl changes his clubs.
Cheers
Do u ever consider to come out to Canada?
SHEEFICEGAMING Beautiful country, but not in our budget I'm afraid.
Cheers
Were you guys members at a club over in Aussie land?
Christian Cunningham Yep, Riversdale Golf Club in Melbourne. A great club and fantastic support towards their juniors.
Cheers
How does Karl hit the ball higher? I have been hitting it low for all I remember in my life...
Put the ball further forward in your stance and you'll notice the difference straight away.
Cheers
hi
Does karl try get his weight onto his right side or does he do it naturally
Naturally. Karl has no swing thoughts when he's executing the shot.
Cheers
what golf balls do the range have there?? Just wondering
+Christian Nicholls Just NXT's, but new ones. Some course in Pinehurst use ProV1's, which is nice.
Cheers
cheers
+Karl Vilips Wow haha just NXT's and Pro V1 hahah here in Scotland no matter where you go we get bad Range balls like MaxWells and stuff haha sometimes not even branded balls
Karl, what state do you live/practice in?
Florida. Saddlebrook Prep in fact.
How does Karl get some much power and distance into his shot
BJB I answer this question a lot. There are a whole bunch of reasons. Karl gets fitted at the same place where many of the tour players get fitted and they confirmed that Karl's carry is further than a lot of players, including guys who have won this past year and another who had been a World # 1 just 3 years ago.
Once Karl's back at school we'll do a video and include other people who can explain it better than I can.
Cheers
Hello , How far did Karl hit his driver when he was 8 yrs old?
JOSHOP You'll find that on his website, but I guess around 190.
Cheers
When did you start golf?
SHEEFICEGAMING Age 5.
Has Karl changed his swing and posture?
Phillip Shockley The swing is always evolving and juniors grow and their swing speed increases. I also think that Karl's swing has changed slightly, but he's very happy with it.
The posture has always been paramount with us, so that's usually going to be technically correct.
Cheers
That's a pretty Freaken sweet range, it's probably the norm for you guys but I'm use to hitting of mats, lol
ewan preedit It's actually not the norm for Karl. He's not even a member anywhere. Looks can be deceiving.
Cheers
Were all of those carry distances?
Trevor Van Vliet No, roll-out to the targets.
Cheers
A great father spending quality time with his son training & showing others some tips - and got 12 thumb downs? This world is full of losers! SMH
How many shirts does Karl get from taylormade
Golfer99 Lancilotti A few
Really because u r amazing!
What kind of music does Karl listen too?
SuperKicks23 The same crap that most 13-years olds listen to. It's God awful.
Cheers
I remember when i was 13 my parents thought the same thing haha.
Why Is Carl no member at a golf club
+Lukas Hell Costs a LOT
HEKO LU and he travels literally every 2 weeks to different states so there no point
What is karl ranked in the us
Jack Lynch That's a good question.
He's currently a 2019 grad but should have been a 2020 grad. He's ranked 20th on the 2019 grads but higher than any of the 2020 grads, where all the boys his age are.
Cheers
what's the point of putting one handed?
I think it gets feel and keeping your hands steady
So what came in the mail?
Ben Carey LOL
