Speaking of the Stanford bag that Karl has received, could he post a 'what's in the bag" quick tidbit of his clubs? Instagram would work well or RUclips. Word for thought.
Wow... can't believe Karl is already 21... I remember tuning in when he was just a young kid. Time has really flown! I haven't watched in a long time but just read that he qualified for the US Open. Amazing stuff and good luck this week!
I watch this as a reminder to the level of talent I would have had to face had I continued my career in golf. Very humbling, keep it pushing Karl, you are ready for the PGA.
I have been keeping tabs on Karl for a long time now, and he has developed into a tremendous player. Playing in the US open was an impressive feat and then the week after, finishing runners up at the North&South Amateur. Karl seems to be all but ready to have a strong run at elite tournaments this summer. All the best to him! Also, I believe he's the #2 ranked Aussie on WAGR, so that's another accomplishment to have a drink on!
I saw you play at Olympia today and i was awestruck as you are one of the people that inspired me to keep improving on my golf game. I hope you see this Karl, good luck with the rest of your season!!
@@KarlGolf your so welcome !!! I remember watching videos of you like ten years ago with your dad commentating on every shot !! So awesome that years later you are starring in college golf and now qualified for the US open !!! I'll b cheering you on from here in Melbourne on Thursday night next week !! Good luck and most importantly have fun !!! Really got nothing to lose with this opportunity at this stage of your career !!!
@@KarlGolf wow that is so nice of you to say! Thank you! I am Stephan from Belgium and if you ever play in Belgium or The Netherlands or somewhere else close, do let me know. Keep going and keep growing strong!
Well Guys, we keep on looking for content. Or how about some update as to what’s happening right now and plans for next year. How much longer in college? Etc etc . Thanks PJB
Fair questions. I've been slow on uploading a few rounds from the summer that I recorded and which are absolute stunners. I'm now back in Australia so won't be recording any of the upcoming NCAA tournaments which start today (Friday) in Chicago. However, I intend joining Karl at the Asia Pacific Amateur in Thailand in the last week of October where he'll (once again) be representing Australia and I'll (once again) have my camera running. Karl withdrew from last year's Asia Pacific Am due to being unable to get back to Australia to renew his Student Visa due to Australian's being unable to return unless for special reasons owing to Covid Lock-downs. I also was unable to return to Perth until mid-January due to Perth being one of the world's last Lock-down cities to allow their citizens back in from overseas. If you'd like to follow the scores from Stanford's first NCAA event of the season, here's the link: results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=pairings&tid=25907
He looks more like Jason Day every time I see him. Two more years, he will be playing with Jason. Is his long pause before the swing problematic for pro level?
An other great 9. Looking forward to the back. Karl is certainly getting some upper body bulkiness and of course cute girlfriends. Great commentary Paul.
Hi John. Unfortnuatey, the Amateur clashes with the Elite Amateur Series of tournaments in the US and would require a player to miss out on 3 of those events in order to play The Amateur. Tough decision to miss it, but purely a scheduling issue. The Elite Series in the US a relatiively new series which carries a lot of weight amongst the US-based players.
I should add however, that should a player be securely positioned at the top of the WAGR, then he would have the luxury of foregoing the Elite Series and playing in both The Links Trophy and The Amateur instead, but Karl has dropped down the ranking during each college season and then needed the summer series to work his way back up the rankings, finishing 5th during last years Elite Amateur Series. I hope this goes some way to explain how a player in Karl's position needs to address their schedule in this increasingly important period of rankings.
Karl seems to be taking a LONG time over the ball. I've watched him for a long time and it seems to be getting longer and longer...just seems like it's a surefire way to build up tension. Just a constructive observation...not a criticism.

One of the best channels I've come across. No nonsense, honest, down-to-earth commentary from a proud father.
The OG RUclips Golf Vlog. Killing it as usual.

Can we please start a petition to get Paul on the Golf Channel? Definitely knows more than the top hats who talk nonsense on there.
So good to hear dad on commentary, like the good old vlogs
Glad you enjoyed
I see that Karl made the US Open. I remember watching him with Gabe years ago. I expect a top 10 finish Karl. Make Gabe proud
Didn't know where else to congratulate you for qualifying for the us open !! Well done Karl !!

It is so crazy to see Erica on the bag, it feels like 5 minutes ago Karl was still in ajga qualifiers. He’s turning into a big boy 🥲
Couldn't agree more

Has Karl qualified for the US Am via his current rankings or does he need to enter a qualifying event?
No, not yet. He should get it done though with a good result at next week's Western Am.
Mean mate!
Thats funny i was there at the same time but for the US kids red white and blue. I also got my first hole in one that week :)
Congrats on the Ace.

Surprise caddy appearance from Erica Baker
is that an apple watch you are wearing?
Any reason why you haven’t posted anything lately?
Yes. I'm based in Australia so only record rounds when I'm in the US for a few of Karl's tournaments each summer. Cheers.
@@KarlGolf No worries! Cheers ! 👍👍
Hi Karl and Dad, what’s happening? Nothing for four weeks Guys!
Working on it!
Hi i am from Thailand
This kid looks like the real deal to me,,is he entered in to the British Amateur ?

I noticed this too, very hard to watch
Agreed. I hope he finds a way to speed it up. I can't stand watching slow golfers
What’s Karl’s biggest weakness seems like he has none like a Xander schauffle
Who is she? A girlfriend?
Yes.
he is playing a lot slower than few years ago…
Please enver stop your filming! It is so interesting to see his development over the years! One question: Is his caddy his girlfriend?
Yep, that's his g/f.
Karl’s girlfriend on the bag ?
Yes indeed.
