@@ThinkHarderr Honestly, more power to him. If you could start knocking off bucket list courses and not only get to go there for free but like a VIP and get paid for it. I'd say he's a genius like Tom Coyne who just gets paid to go golf and write about it... although both could have afford to do it otherwise, guess that is why they were already kind of rich.
I played number 1 and 2 in Dec 2022 and I tipped my No. 2 caddy $120 for the round. You are correct, it is a bucket list place to visit and play. I remember every single hole on No. 2. Also for you viewers the temperature is usually good all the way through Thanksgiving and it's MUCH cheaper to play mid Oct - early Dec.
GREAT VIDEO! No doubt that member "Sam" is living the DREAM!!! I will agree totally, having been members at several other private clubs, Pinehurst far exceeds them all. And the quality of life of just living in Pinehurst is second to none. Thanks for letting me play with you!! When you are ready to pull the trigger on that house with a transferable membership, just let my wife know!!!! Sam
I get it's a privaledge to play, but at some point, the tips will put just a few people off. 2 bills for a caddie is like $40 an hr - at some point, it is marginal at best. But if you got the dough, sure - make someone happy.
I was at Pinehurst on Mother’s Day weekend on Saturday to pick up my US Open volunteer credential. I toured the new USGA Golf House and the World Golf Hall of Fame. I walked from the Hall of Fame to Pinehurst #2. I just walked around the clubhouse. I went into the Pro Shop and purchased a US Open shirt. If I had my putter I could have practiced on the practice putting greens. Yes I went into the ladies locker room. It was a great day.
35k plus $500 a month for all those courses. That is less than a membership a TPC course. It a lot less than a membership at Sea Pines on Hilton Head. That at gives you 4 courses, but the members course is a bowling alley! That is golfers heaven for sure!!! Thanks for sharing.
My daughter lives in Pinehurst. The food in the Village area is superb. Try Lisi Italian and get the ravioli stuffed with lobster in a cream sauce. Killer meal. As for Pinehurst #2 at the member tees- get ready to be humbled. Can’t imagine the US Open tees.
Dude I have to be 100% honest, $35k initiation and then $500 a month sounds like a STEAL to be a member at frickin PINEHURST!! Pete Dye in Bridgeport WV will be my home club next year when I can afford it, and it still cost like $6k initiation fee and like $400 a month... sure Pinehurst init fee is more, but omg 10 courses and its frickin Pinehurst! that's a steal!!
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 that membership is courses 1-6 (and has gone up to $600 a month), rounds still cost you about 20 bucks (even if you walk), The Cradle is "complimentary", you get 20% off some stuff in the proshop, no discount on drinks, there is an optional "red card" for the dining plan which gets you 50% off food for an additional monthly fee. You can upgrade your membership to courses 1-8 (I think that's around $900 a month). Course 10 likely won't be available to members for about 4 more years, that's how it was when they built course 8
Love the membership videos! I think you should pivot and exclusively make membership videos. Always show the bar and what is the club’s speciality drink and meal. Love that you show the showers. And yes please include all the pricing. Wish I could show you my club, but they have rules about social media which I think are outdated.
I personally do not find the membership videos interesting, but Matt does do a fantastic job and I actually really enjoyed this one. What a chill place!
I live in the area I don’t get the whole bucket list thing about Pinehurst. I guess because I’ve played all of the courses many times. Everyone around here has a buddy or knows someone who can get us on the course for free. Don’t get me wrong it’s an awesome place to play!
The putting green at Pinehurst is the best I’ve ever putted on. I’ve played #2 and stayed there one night I believe and it was around $2400. Pretty expensive for sure.
Went to Pinehurst in August. Played Southern Pines and Pine Needles. Fun place to travel to. Ate at the Carolina Hotel and it was mistake because we were very CASUAL in attire LOL
Mr short game, I don't know where you live but you should go to vincennes indiana and play at cypress hills golf course. It's an old course but recently, pro golfer Adam Schenk put a bunch of money into it and had it all fixed up. You should come try it and review it!
Wear 'em with pride. Even non golfers recognize them and give respect. I always hope they last through the winter which means they need a "top up" somewhere warm during the cold.
You and your channel are the best. You should do a series where you play a round with your subscribers at their home courses. When you do and you come to Oregon I'm your man !!!! Let's do this
I wouldn’t consider Pinehurst private . I’ve been there . Yes they have memberships but anyone can pay to play the courses . Also #2 is not included in all memberships, there is levels of memberships there and some memberships allow you access to #2 but for a small greens fee .
I'm sure Pinehurst didn't appreciate the "drop your kids off" comment for the "game room". They probably despise kids running around the property unsupervised. The "game room" is probably for the adult members that can supervise their own kids.
$35k initiation fee and $500 a month dues is cheap. My local one is $35K initiation plus $1500 a month dues, plus $450 every quarter minimum food and beverage spend. I did not get membership. I play golf like once a month.
Resort courses not for me, Pinehurst or not, too many green fees, players that only play on golf trips, hacking it round in 6 hours or more. Truly private clubs are that, private, and tee times are reserved for members only, guests allowed on certain days and at certain times, that’s what you pay for. Guys on stag trips, corporate beanos etc, ruin the day.
This could be a 20 Minute Info-Commercial for Pinehurst. More Private Golf Courses should uses you to help drive Memberships..
Have you ever actually played at Pinehurst, place is special, heaven on earth for golfers
thats what this is and thats what he gets payed to do.....
There's a word for that, infomercial.

Anyone else wanting a Mr. Shortgame review of each course from Pinehurst? A video per course?
“I get the group with all ladies, its a good deal”
Mrs ShortGame definitely had a few words after seeing this video 😂
Was so fortunate to have met a member playing Tot Hill Farm back in 2009 who got me onto the No. 2 course. Never forget you man! Absolute Legend.

Whistling straits caddy here. Appreciate you and your respect for us loopers, would love to carry the bag anytime
Had Jason (140) last week at Whistling he was amazing. great track

What do you get for $500 a month? Obviously unlimited golf, but do you get food, drink, golf shop?

Was there 2 weeks ago. Played 2 4 5 8 and 10. And the cradle. Best golf trip ever it was amazing.
You should review the reserve at lake Keowee next, it’s a Jack Nicklaus designed course, and it’s right on the lake.
Great video! Pinehurst is such a gem in our area. Would love to play golf with this guy. Really nice review of the complex.
As a Brit, I can say that you guys really know how to do golf clubs.
Big Cailyn fan here, she's awesome!
Clubman aftershave is the absolute best. Classic.
Loves these videos with the behind the scenes of the clubhouse. Keep up the great work
I come here for the golf cart and locker room reviews ! MSG is the goat! Nice video keep it up 🤙
hes got me wanting to move to pinehurst lol
82 is strong my friend!! Great video! Lots of good behind the scenes info.
Matt one of your best videos yet. Wish I could get out there this year.
What a dope little vid. And you shot 82 near US open conditions on an unfamiliar course with unfamiliar clubs, first go? Hot damn. Nice shootin

Last person I expected to see was LouLou, thats pretty cool. I know her from her comedic content
Ocean course caddie here let’s just say you are a caddies dream that actually cares about taking care of us loopers
2 c notes. You’re a good man Mr. Short Game. Respect
Great review and I also agree you should play each course and post the reviews.
Those square grassy areas are for croquet courts..they held the national finals there last fall.
Went to Pinehurst in August. Played Southern Pines and Pine Needles. Fun place to travel to. Ate at the Carolina Hotel and it was mistake because we were very CASUAL in attire LOL
I usually do 50$ for a four caddie and 100/120$ for a single caddie depending on the experience.
What did you think of the eleven wedges? Would they take the place of your current wedges
Mr short game, I don't know where you live but you should go to vincennes indiana and play at cypress hills golf course. It's an old course but recently, pro golfer Adam Schenk put a bunch of money into it and had it all fixed up. You should come try it and review it!
Dude, you have to move north!!!
Mr. Short game needs to be at a premiere resort!!!
If I lived near there I would be a member 100%! Wish I could buy a house there honestly
Great video, what a beautiful clubhouse.
id be curious to know tee time availability, like can a member just show up to a course and get on instead of having to book a tee time in advance.
Them ankle tan lines tho 😂
Wear 'em with pride. Even non golfers recognize them and give respect. I always hope they last through the winter which means they need a "top up" somewhere warm during the cold.
@5:21 i though matts shoes were still off
Such a dope video!!!! 🔥
You and your channel are the best. You should do a series where you play a round with your subscribers at their home courses. When you do and you come to Oregon I'm your man !!!! Let's do this
That private membership cost is insanely low. wow....
Couldn’t get close to that in Chicagoland area.
Another great video keep it up Matt
Great video. Going there in a month!
Men’s grille? Anywhere cigar friendly?
Live in Pinehurst. All facts.
200$ tip for a caddy is ridiculous. I just played Turnberry last week in Scotland and ripped the caddy 100$ and he was over the moon with it.
8:47 no I actually did that when I was 13
I guess I'm gonna have to keep living my golf fantasy play through Matt
Single caddy $100-$150; two bags $75-100 depending on service
my guess is getting a tee time is tough and have to be made days in advance or SOL
Do they have limit on maximum number of members? Does membership cover family members? Are members able to sell the membership at current market rate?
That was a baller video :) Keep it up!!
Why do you have to have your shoes off
I'll never be able to afford it, but its fun to dream. 😊
Matt is selling the Georgia plantation and headed to North Carolina as we speak.
I wouldn’t consider Pinehurst private . I’ve been there . Yes they have memberships but anyone can pay to play the courses . Also #2 is not included in all memberships, there is levels of memberships there and some memberships allow you access to #2 but for a small greens fee .
Awesome review
best review yet!
There will be some players at US Open at 82 or higher
Great sales pitch for some rich peeps, but too much for us minions.
love these vids .
Dude that is a good deal for courses like these.
Looks like member-only logo polos are available on eBay. A plan is forming...
Lake Reynolds in Georgia do that next
I like your style with the caddyif you’re getting something for free spread the love what goes around comes around, swing easy Eddy UK ,
Paper towels in the members lock room? Dropped down a few notches!
Hidden trash cans are sick! Golfing shoeless though?!?
I'm sure Pinehurst didn't appreciate the "drop your kids off" comment for the "game room". They probably despise kids running around the property unsupervised. The "game room" is probably for the adult members that can supervise their own kids.
Why no shoes??
Just being honest, the member area kinda looks like a newly finish basement that hasn't been decorated yet
Is the ladies’ locker room as good as the Mens’? My wife plays golf too, you know.
You visit Pinehurst and don't try the Mile High Key Lime Pie??? Tragic...
Look after your caddies 😊☘️
Your membership info is slightly misleading. $35k and $500 dues only gets you courses 1-6. The everything membership is $60k and $600 month dues.
The logo is called "Putter Boy".
That membership cost isn't bad at all
When I used to caddie at the farms my tips were always at least $100
Little known fact. You can play any course there for $20 if you work there. Talk about a fringe benefit for a retiree.
I have never played anywhere where I am not my own caddie.
I thought the minimum for a caddy at Pinehurst was $80
Maybe I missed it... why are you taking your shoes off for the range?
I played Pinehurst No 2 just before the last US Open and had a great time there. I gave the caddie $100.
$35k initiation fee and $500 a month dues is cheap. My local one is $35K initiation plus $1500 a month dues, plus $450 every quarter minimum food and beverage spend. I did not get membership. I play golf like once a month.
I'm on Zillow right now...
Website says 60 for tip but 100 seems right
cool video!
That membership cost is unreal.
This definitely is the best value for the price. If only I had the money lol
Awww, no swag giveaway? Great video though
Honestly shocked you didn’t take a shower! 😂
If you are a resort guest isn’t it like 50 dollars all you can play for the day?
not even close!
? What I read
82 from the tips, I'd take that all day long.
Resort courses not for me, Pinehurst or not, too many green fees, players that only play on golf trips, hacking it round in 6 hours or more. Bocce ball not lawn bowling 🤌🏼🇮🇹
100 bucks minimum for caddy tip. 200 depending on how they are as human beings! But that’s just me, what do I know?😏
Why on earth would one get a membership at a public golf course? Semi-private = public.
Ha! That all they got? And here I thought I was poor! 😃
