The 2022-23 PGA TOUR season has reached the finale. East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, will host the TOUR Championship with the best players from this season all competing for the PGA TOUR’s ultimate prize. This will be a no-cut event, with the top 30 players beginning on their FedExCup Starting Strokes based on where they are in the FedExCup standings. Scottie Scheffler leads the field at 10-under par this week. He’ll look for redemption after playing the last five holes in 1-over par last week, as Viktor Hovland captured the BMW Championship. Scheffler has been the most consistent player on TOUR this season with 15 top-10 finishes and knows how to deliver on the big stage. Rory McIlroy starts at 7-under this week and will be looking to become the first player to win four FedExCups and the first to defend a FedExCup title. He played well for a T-4 finish last week at the BMW Championship and has three top-10 finishes alongside his three titles at East Lake. Others to look out for are Jon Rahm (6-under), Patrick Cantlay (4-under) and Max Homa (4-under).

Xander is the most underrated golfer in the world in my opinion. Doesn’t get as much recognition as some of the other big names. I’ll take Xander’s best vs just about anyone in the world.

in a regular tournament, Xander shot 261, which would have put him in a playoff with Viktor to see who would come out on top. just FYI.

And its not a normal tournament so why do some people keep saying «if it was…» ? Its the culmination of the season and who has been the best through the season. They all know what they play for in the beginning of the season and that they have to play great to gain enough points to have the advantage in the last tournament. Its called «best player of the season» for a reason.

@@In_my_own_mind why? because Jon Rahm forever will be seen in the books as finishing this season T18. does that represent how he played?? what about Rory? what if he could not compete due to his back. he would have finished 30th. does that represent his season, really? no. the points system should stop before the playoffs. and the rest of the race should be for the cash. just like it used to be.

Great round Xander. Viktor just played extremely well of late. He deserved this win.

Xander Schauffele deserved it, but Viktor is just to great. Congrats on 2 in a row Vik.
Edit: I actually met Viktor in his rookie year at the John Deere classic, so it’s really exciting to watch him win

Xander deserved it? I would say Viktor deserved it though. Viktor has won 3 tournaments (+ Tiger woods Hero challenge tournament where the best participate, he has won that 3 years in a row), no missed cuts, a lot of top 10’s. Close in 3 majors. Its the best player of the season award after all… Schauffelle has no wins this season.

Not making upto a million before retirement is an unfulfilled retirement. I'm 54 and my wife is 50. We are both retired with over $3million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on the FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early. Even till now, we earn weekly😗😗😗
