Try Everlance Premium FREE for a week: everlance.onelink.me/0gk7/7btgdzfd I'm blown away by this app... It's a game changer for drivers. The fact that I'll never forget to track a mile again makes this app well worth it... BUT... It offers so much more. I had no idea I could deduct so many things on my taxes! Try it out for yourself, you'll be glad you did!
This video is the realist door dash video I've seen so far. Those other channels are full of hype and selling you fake information. I've learned alot from this 1 video.
Here's a tip. Whenever a customer asks you to deliver to a different address, ask DD customer support for a pay adjustment. They will usually give you an additional half payment for driving to the new address. Of course, make sure DD changes the address in the app before you go to the new address.
I sit in a parking lot that has a Panera, chipotle, 5 guys, and chick filet all next to each other. There’s an Applebees on the other side and a chilis down the road I sit there and listen to podcasts and wait.
Agreed on these, especially the hot zones. It took some trial and error, I learned early on that those hot zones mean nothing. I go where I know I tend to stay busy, and those zones are never “hot.”
same, my busy spot in my market is a good 15 miles from all the hotspots/red zones. That and the redzone in my market isnt good orders, its all lowball fastfood trips. I park myself between 3 grocery stores and a few sit down restaurants.
I thank you for bringing up the Everlance app. I now use it all the time and just bought the year. Also, I like near San Antonio tx and I think the market is flooded with drivers. This last Friday and Saturday night and day through the breakfast, lunch and dinner rushes I was getting terrible orders. Example…a stacked order for $4.50. I got so many of them my acceptance rate went from 74% to 62%. I can’t wrap my brain around using my car for no tip. Idk what’s going on with this app. So frustrating
I never deliver to an updated address without contacting DD. In my experience DD will either pay you more for the extra mileage or cancel the order due to being outside of the delivery area and give you half credit. I like the tip of using the customer app promos as your hotspot.
So today I was leaving an order and was trying to close it out and another order came in and when I thought I was closing it out I hit the accept button for $2.25 order going 5 miles! I was so pissed! I didn’t want to unassign it so I just went ahead and did it and the woman her house was huge and the whole order was $2.25. No tip no nothing! That will never happen again! I don’t understand why Door Dash would even send an order to anybody for $2.25?? it’s my own fault for not paying closer attention before I accepted. I learned a good lesson.
Know your territory! Learn where most orders will drop, and post in the middle of them, in a place that will give you good instant road access on both directions.
Most of the time, the restaurant will do it if they're out of the original item. Sounds like you may have gotten an employee who was just being difficult.
Zach you really should consider making some content in the realm or horror, top 5 lists etc.. you seriously have a look and persona that I think would naturally allow you to present that kind of stuff in a very intense way. Don't limit yourself only to doordash. You could get some serious views on RUclips with the right type of content
I appreciate that! I've considered it honestly, I just don't have much free time to run a second channel. Maybe in the future that's something I'll look into!
I have Door Dash, Uber eats, and Spark, but unless I'm forced by being deactivated by door dash, I probably won't ever use uber eats again. Last time I used it I couldn't get an offer over $3. Then I got a Target shop order in another town for $12. It took 30 minutes to get there over an hour to find the fake meat substitute foods the customer ordered, and 10 minutes to deliver it. Then other orders are tip baits. Spark would be good if you can do more than one order an hour. All I ever get is an order at :20 past the hour for a pickup at :45 past the hour. Get done early, tough. You wait for the next round.
i would say AR does matter for higher paid oders because it only over 50% you get those, with my market being not great for tipping and only rarely have peak pay, AR will likely give you priority at least sometimes even if its placebo
Idk if anyone could have said it better! I’m tired of people giving advice based off their experience and claiming it’s universal. Idk why it’s so hard just to say “this is what works for me” but I think you nailed it
So months ago I would've agreed with AR rate not mattering. But at least in my area it seems to matter. Just to dash. Both me and my hubby do it, he has a higher AR than I do because of the area he generally works. On the app it will be "Busy" for him but not for me. When he hit 50% he now averages $1.75-3 per mile whereas I in the same area same times am lucky to get $1 per mile. I think they are trying to make is so low AR is harder to log on. All last year I had a 1-17% AR. I think they are adjusting it to matter.
I always assumed hot spots are caused by the restaurant having a bunch of orders that drivers will not pick up (usually no tip orders) so it marks it as a hot spot to lure drivers in
I don't like how some zones can split a city in half, or in thirds etc... I live in a city, but the DD zone map shows that I live just outside of my city zone. This causes huge problems for me during any scheduled shift, as it wants me to drive to a point 17 min away from where I want to start at. Then it tells me that my shift was ended because I never reached the starting point. Now I just watch the zone map and I use the dash now function when it gets busy, but I am still unable to schedule anything.
I had to find out the hard way that hotspots don’t work. I used to wonder how some of these random stores are getting enough orders to be considered a “hot spot”
The only time surges are good is when an event is happening, the surges/hot spots are only accurate when big events are happening in my city... and sometimes i make the same as if i was in surge or not, almost no difference
You'd think it's illegal, but I know for a fact that DoorDash and Grubhub do it. I'm sure Uber would also, but I can't say 100% for sure with that one. Generally if the drivers fight hard enough, the companies do end up paying out, but it usually takes the driver threatening to get lawyers involved.
@ZachDrivesFast I do Grubhub and don't multiapp. I have a DoorDash dasher account and can switch there if I need to, but I never had the need to use more than one app at the same time. I only do Grubhub on the weekends and it's been pretty busy and get mostly decent orders. My AR stays around 80%
The high pay order 'diamond' seems to matter in my market but stomry days like today where weather and roads are bad the decline and unassign game is strong when very busy at doesn't matter as much imho
BRO YESSSSS. Don't ever order to a new address without proof of communication! And even then, don't expect things to work out. Also, mama ain't raise no bitch. The customer can pay for the extra miles via cash app, facebook pay, venmo, etc. If they don't, then just leave the food at the contracted drop off location, take a pic, and maybe even take a bite or the entire order. If i'm getting a 1 star review or contract violation because of the customer's inability to use a food delivery app, they also gonna be buying me lunch. On a real note though, you can straight up refuse to go to a delivery location that you never agreed to go to. I've had orders once in a blue moon where this happened, and after telling "dog shit support" that I'm not willing to drop off at a different location than the one that was contracted, they just give me the order or tell me to give the order away if I don't want it. I will however make the exception if the customer is willing to come get the order from me., at the contracted drop off location.
Even if you wait at the contracted drop off location for them to pick it up, you are still wasting valuable, unrecoverable time. So in that case they should STILL compensate you via cash app, cash, vimeo. etc.
Yeah the AR over 50% has many variables. It may work if 2 dashers(1 with 10% and the other with 50%) are in the same spot at the same time waiting for an order that they will give it to the 50%er over the 10%er. Problem is the 50%er and above will still need to take trash orders while you declined those same orders. When the 50%er is out doing the crap order, a nice offer will come to your phone over his as he is on a delivery with the crap order. Its all timing, order volume, distance to the restaurant, and peak times where you could still receive great orders. As a part timer, I dash during the busy times to maximize my odds to receive those great orders.
I let go of AR on the 1st and have been cherry picking LOP at the town center. TD and AR only mattered when dashing from home. Now I get off my ass and drive 15 mins to the Town Center.
Great advice as usual. I multi app although I mainly just use the three out of the 8, or 9 that I’m registered on, but at least I have back ups in case.
I agree... I ignore the Hot Spots. I sit in a strategic location situated sort of in the middle to most of the places that I pick up from. It works for me in my market. It's a big parking lot that is always empty! I also know that even in the Winter and especially during the Summer where I can wait in the shade! Fortunately, sometimes I never get to wait. Oh, I forgot to mention that I only Dash, but I will consider your advice. I've only been following for a short time, but you speak intelligently, I listen. Thank You! Marty in New Jersey.
I work in a large market, and have tanked my AR a few times just to see if it does make a difference in orders given. When my AR was at 30% one out of eight to ten orders was extremely good and it stayed that way until I got it back to 52%. Then I was put on high priority offers. I find the sweet spot is 74%. I still get no tip orders at 74%, but they're less frequent than at 30% to 50%. Another trick I've learned with the dasher algorithm is to take a couple orders at the beginning of a dash that's a little smaller than I would usually take. An example would be if the miles to money is around 25% less than what I find to be acceptable, I will take a two or three of them to mess with the algorithm. It almost always rewards me with at least one really good order. Also, DD seems to love when you dash hourly in market. It pays $15.25 here (local pay varies) and it's a fast way to bring up the AR without going broke in the process. This is what I learned in my market (Twin Cities Mn.). It could work differently in your market. Stay safe out there, brothers and sisters.
There’s a loophole to the dash anytime thing top dashers are so stoked about, shopping orders, in my market it 10 per week and you can dash anytime. My AR is never above 20% but I do the required 10 shopping orders per week and get the only benefit top dashers actually get.
Good content. It is true that DD does not treat Dashers the same. On your Top Dasher/Diamond Program, Nuggs did a video with 2 phones side by side, one non TD and the other TD. It showed the Top Dasher preference for orders when it's slow. Of course, it made no difference when it was busy, and DD dropped that priority from the program shortly after that. Maybe you could reach out to the team at Para to get some insight on how DD operates. 🤔
I definitely stick in 2-3 different spots where most of the restaurants are. Sometimes they turn into Hotspot while there. But I 100% agree about the AR thing. I was given top Dasher a few months ago and didn't see much of a difference in what I'm getting currently at 30% AR. I don't think my market gets a bunch of huge orders and honestly most days recently my earnings are equal or more on Uber Eats than DD. It seems that is where the higher tips always are for me
Yo Zach! Another great video! I was in the Diamond program or whatever they call it a while back. It probably varies depending on how many drivers are on the road and how many decent orders are available. Here’s my experience: It seems like the closer your AR gets to 50% the more CRAP orders you get. When you get to that upper 40% DD’s algorithm sees that going for 50% and are willing to take any order just to get to that elusive 50% AR so you can get those amazing payouts. I’m currently at 47% so I’m exclusively getting trash orders at the moment! 😜 Dunno if I can do it, but I’m going to give the Diamond program a second chance. Honestly the first time, I was not that impressed. They sent me a few really good orders but most of what they sent me labeled a “high paying order” was not definitely not high paying. There were lots of short distance orders. Lots of two miles or less orders...and I guess it’s a certain point of view but I never consider $5.50 to be “high paying” even if it’s two miles. Anyway heading to do a dinner Dash soon. So maybe I’ll be in “Diamond” again if non tippers don’t tank my AR.
I knew everything from the video except the tip of using the customer app (I usually just wait around places I know get a lot of orders and have low wait times). Definitely gonna try this next time, thanks!
It's funny you mentioned the diamond program. I fought to keep it my first couple months, but in my smaller rural market those diamond offers were few and far between, and they often required long drives out of any good delivery area. I stopped trying to maintain my AR in February, and I actually make more money on DD now than I did before in less hours. Also I know the hours I have the most success, so I just schedule shifts in advance if I have to. But I also feel if the area is grayed out on DD, I'm not gonna maximize my profit on that platform anyway, so onto the others.
Actually Zach I've called over a ride restaurant they got a violation on their merchant account so it does matter if corporate chain no but stand alone stores yes
@@ZachDrivesFast I went in to pick-up and order and the employee (ghetto looking gangster) told me I had to wait outside. One problem. It was pouring down rain and there was NO SHELTER! I told him I am NOT going to get soaking wet for his shytty food. He promptly charged at me before his fellow employees grabbed him. That's when I told him to please hit me so I can get millions! Consequently, I never went outside and got my food promptly and left!

I’m rewatching for the tips on using the customer doordash app for tips
Thank you for all the advice
I always wondered if the doordash ordering app would work as a hot spot. Thank you for confirming this!
Thanks for the DD Customer app. Good idea.
I definitely followed these bad tips but I have learned and continue to learn good advice
I appreciate your video to help drives
Great video, as always Zach
Hey, keep up the great work! Hustle on!! 👊
I appreciate it!

Yes. Multi-apping is the o ly way to go. Made my money with IC, Spark, DoorDash, and Roadie today.
Awesome tips!

Never thought of using my customer DD to figure out hot spots!
Literally sitting at hotspot lol Starting looking for tips
Thank you!
I sit in a parking lot that has a Panera, chipotle, 5 guys, and chick filet all next to each other. There’s an Applebees on the other side and a chilis down the road I sit there and listen to podcasts and wait.
That’s exactly what I have been doing. ❤
That's what I'm going to start doing 😂
You speak my life for the past three years.
That's some damn nice grouping!. I got a Pantera Bread and Chip in a group, but other 3 are slightly away.
Agreed on these, especially the hot zones. It took some trial and error, I learned early on that those hot zones mean nothing. I go where I know I tend to stay busy, and those zones are never “hot.”

I rarely have to call support it's far and few in between
Very wise words. Thank you for real info!
I'm glad you're enjoying it! :D
I love your channel. You tell the truth for sure. Thanks for not selling out like these all of these other youtubers. Cough cough PEDRO!
I never deliver to an updated address without contacting DD. In my experience DD will either pay you more for the extra mileage or cancel the order due to being outside of the delivery area and give you half credit. I like the tip of using the customer app promos as your hotspot.
I know this is off topic but guess what's back in my market, the annoying as hell DoorDash 4 step decline method.
Seriously...? That's dirty... I'm still on the two tap decline. Thank you for letting me know.
I can't standddd support they read off scripts and literally no help. They give me headaches talking to them having to repeat my self over & over.
I used to sit in an area less busy with less drivers
My orders significantly improved with my ar going up. Massively. Think the algo got updated for that
Just starting out DoorDash a couple nights a week to help pay some things off early/save for big expenses. Hoping it will be a worthwhile experience.
I go to central location. Hot spots don't work that often
Thanks for being real. I have learned so much from this. Gig life can be so discouraging.
So today I was leaving an order and was trying to close it out and another order came in and when I thought I was closing it out I hit the accept button for $2.25 order going 5 miles! I'm here to perfect my craft ✔️ Let's Go!!
I always sit just outside a Hotspot. Generally if I am driving, I get an order as I pass a Hotspot. Lol
Thanks again for some great advice
Know your territory! Learn where most orders will drop, and post in the middle of them, in a place that will give you good instant road access on both directions.
DD tracks your mileage also you just have to get them to send it
I wouldn’t rely on them for something that big.
Hmm, I've tried to "swap out an item" and I received from the restaurant "that's not what the customer ordered so I can't swap it out"
Most of the time, the restaurant will do it if they're out of the original item. Sounds like you may have gotten an employee who was just being difficult.
when the only offers on the platform are low tip/no tip then there is no high paying
You speak the truth!

Heheh. I Agee! Zach if you’re a movie nerd, especially sci-fi or horror etc, you’ve a great face and voice for it. I’d watch it. Cheers!
Great advice! I might still be activated on Spark if I didn't call support to ask about a cancelled order.
Thanks, Lily!
I have Door Dash, Uber eats, and Spark, but unless I'm forced by being deactivated by door dash, I probably won't ever use uber eats again. Last time I used it I couldn't get an offer over $3. I think DD and UE should not accept orders if enough drivers complain that they do not give gate codes.
I'm brand new to dashing so it goes without saying that your videos are a lifesaver for me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Glad to help! Feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions.
Hey Zach! Would you mind making a video addressing your thoughts on Connecticuts Raised Bill No. 1180? Thanks :)

The highest paying gig apps video was very helpful. Thanks
I had to find out the hard way that hotspots don’t work. I used to wonder how some of these random stores are getting enough orders to be considered a “hot spot”
Im still trying to figure out how someone was talking through their apts call box if they werent even there😂
It rings to their cell phone.
Good advice on checking the actual DD order app see the deals promos. You have the $100 million dollar voice my guy! Keep up the great content too!
The only time surges are good is when an event is happening, the surges/hot spots are only accurate when big events are happening in my city... and sometimes i make the same as if i was in surge or not, almost no difference
TD still doesn't matter. I just keep 8t at 70 by the end of the month
Living in NH, Dunkin's is always a hotspot in the morning, especially during the weekends
They keep the money that you earned if they deactivate you? Isn't that illegal?
You'd think it's illegal, but I know for a fact that DoorDash and Grubhub do it. I'm sure Uber would also, but I can't say 100% for sure with that one. The tips are great and they are not ones you hear from every gig tuber. Thanks for the great advice. I definitely multiapp. I have 4.
Hey Lisa! I appreciate it! 4 is a healthy number!
The high pay order 'diamond' seems to matter in my market but stomry days like today where weather and roads are bad the decline and unassign game is strong when very busy at doesn't matter as much imho

Yeah the AR over 50% has many variables. It may work if 2 dashers(1 with 10% and the other with 50%) are in the same spot at the same time waiting for an order that they will give it to the 50%er over the 10%er. Hey Justin! I hope all is well man! Pop into discord sometime and say hey!
Ir amazes me that dashers, never realised that! I picked up on it after my first 10 deliveries! Lol!
Yes, I've used the door dash customer to find out promos. Unfortunately, some are on my blacklist though. 😂
All completely true
AR matters in diamond zone
I let go of AR on the 1st and have been cherry picking LOP at the town center. TD and AR only mattered when dashing from home. Now I get off my ass and drive 15 mins to the Town Center.
I got a 💎 order "high pay" order once when my accept% was up there....the order was for $2.95 for like 2 miles....oh cool....no thanks
Unless it is a good tip, and,/or the person will.mrat you at the gate, do not accept orders from.gated apartment complexes.
The multiapp yes bro were here to profit and if you're deactivated you're not completely screwed. Having options is always a plus!
Great advice as usual. I multi app although I mainly just use the three out of the 8, or 9 that I’m registered on, but at least I have back ups in case.
Hot spots advice is crazy. Those spots will have people burning up gas. U better be worried about u getting offers
Well I know i'm in virginia and I hear all over that popeyes sucks and every market lol
I always have a waiting spot. It’s in the middle of my zone where there are many restaurants nearby. Luckily I don’t have to wait there much
I agree... I ignore the Hot Spots. I sit in a strategic location situated sort of in the middle to most of the places that I pick up from. It works for me in my market. I just go in a neutral spot that is close to most places

Now THAT'S how you do it! Keep up the good work!
stay out of the hot spot. If you are in it they will offer you $2.50 for a delivery plus tip. If you are out of it, then the offer is higher.
Quick question do you have to turn everlast on each time? I have solo and forget to turn it on all the time.
That's a wise move! It's what I do as well.
It seems that is where the higher tips always are for me
Good video. All facts, good advice. Have you done one about catering orders?

Hey Shawn!
Here again 👍 here always 😊 thanks for all content as usual 💙
Yes, I look to see which Starbucks are open! Sorry.. that was funny and you know it! 🤣😂🤣😂
Bahaha. Maybe one day I'll live that one down.
You can't say not a troll comment and not blink
Huh I have everlance and didn't know you could put receipts into it
I was once threatened with bodily harm by an employee of Chipotle! I told him please hit me so I can be a millionaire and quit DoorDash!
Jeez! Chipotle workers are going nuts eh? I'd love to hear that story sometime.
I had 3 but doordash deactivated me for no reason and they never even told me why
