I got a DJI mini se for Christmas and I immediately got hooked. Today I ordered the Mareric 3 classic with the bundle and I think I made the right choice. I do alot of stuff in wooded areas andi javelin bo nð need to zoom.
Thanks for your videos. Glad to see you're having fun with your new Mavic. I am an owner of 4 or 5 drones but have all but given up on flying them for over 2 years or more. Ever since the FAA made life with drones more difficult than it needed to be, partly because of the foolish people out there and their carelessness with drones. I know, my pals and I witnessed a few fools fly, and all we could do was watch our backs as we packed up our gear to get away. The last drone I flew for fun was the Phantom 4 pro, and now I am just disgusted looking at my drones since I have no motivation to fly them anylonger. The FAA all but killed this part of the hobby for RC flying hobbyists like myself in less than 7 years. This hobby had so much potential and still does for the commercial drone pilots, just not for the average hobbiest mostly.
Looking forward to getting my Mavic 3 Classic tomorrow. I have the Air2 and the Mavic 2 Zoom but this one looks really exciting. Love your video...just fact and no BS...thanks
I have the same drone and the Mavic 3 Classic is definitely an Improvement in overall image quality. The still might not be a huge improvement like video is but if you're already considering this drone you'll get enough improvement to be well worth it.
Love the video! I fell in love with the mini 3 pro and was so sure to buy that as my frist drone. Then the Air3 came out and I had to spend hours on youtube finding out what the differences were. Now im pretty sure that im gonna pick the Mavic 3 classic after seing what photage it can take. Im blown away by the video quality. Is it to brave to buy the Mavic 3 classic as my first drone??? It could be nice with a drone that can last a couple of years before chaning, and I think this drone could be it 😀
The Mavic 3 Classic is great. DJI has really made flying any of their drones similar, and it's largely a matter of performance and camera. You'll love it.
@@davetriesthis Is the Classic 3 better than the normal Dji mavic 3? Cause I cant seem to find any videos that tell the difference. Appreciate the help!!
Hi Dave. I have the Mini 2 and the Mini 3 Pro. I love flying the drones and have agonized over getting the Mavic 3 Classic ever since its launch. Most of my flights are in city and county parks with some flights in urban areas. I don’t like calling attention to the drones and usually people passing give me a friendly hello. I am concerned about the sound of the Mavic 3 Classic drawing attention or causing the ire of those around me. Thanks for your review.
I find people either care about drones or they don't and the noise is only one component. At altitude you can't hear this drone any more than any other DJI drone. There are quieter drones but not with this good of a camera at this price point. If it's the flying you like you can find a quieter one. If it's the images you like this is a good middle forums.
Hi Dave. I really enjoyed your video review on the Mavic 3 Classic. I have been flying a Mavic Pro for the past 5 years and I was thinking of upgrading to the Mavic 3 Classic, but my Pro still flies great. I fly purely for fun when I go on vacation. I love all the new features on the Classic and especially the new RC with the screen, but I'm wondering if I would need all these features since I don't shoot professionnally. Awhile ago I was considering the Mavic Air 2S with the fancy RC. I'd love to get your opinion.
Oh man they're both great choices! It's hard for me to pick a solution. If your priority for travel is size the Air but the Mavic 3 Classic has better stability against high wind which makes it a big winner in my book. I flew it in gusts that used to require a Phantom in the old days.
@@davetriesthis Thanks for your help. I'll still wait a little and watch a few more videos. The thing is, I rarely use 4K on my Mavic Pro becaus it makes editing take longer, since 99% of my videos go on social media. But I love the Mavic 3 Classic. Makes me think of when I first got my Mavic Pro. It was the so advanced for that time. Would I be able to sell my Mavic Pro? It has only 31 hours of total flight time in 166 flights (5 years).
@@TomAnsuini makes sense. Maybe shoot 4k and edit in an editor that lets you make lower res proxy media. Then you can capture in 4K, edit with lightweight video files, crop heavily if you want, post to social and if you ever want to go back and edit you've got 4k footage. :)

@@Bigfarmffs it's cheaper than the 3 pro as it only has the wide angle lens. For someone just doing landscape it's the better value.

Have the mini pro 3... Focus on it sucks, it is basically a useless drone for video
Which makes it not so useful because if you're not able
