0:27 it may have been as an alt invincibility item where u can only walk but pacman could destroy enemies by just walking into them or it could be just a "power down" item on purpose for the later levels
These unused level video's are quite fascinating and I enjoy watching them there's something so interesting about them that I absolutely find very intriguing about them keep up the fantastic work on these types of videos they are definitely worth watching

i’d bet that unused power up was an early test for a way to put pac-man into the control scheme used for mazes

Think you missed something in the beginning with butt bounce. Try using the ‘super move’ on that white square!
