Thanks for adding the layout again 😊 Interesting layout, a great office, and she doesn't look her age. She'll make a good deal for someone. Great tour as always.
@@Yachtsforsaleblog I really enjoy seeing the layout. If I am watching a yacht walkthrough that does not show the layout, I frequently wind up searching the web to see if I can find it.

Hi David. What a lovely yacht. Very practical, welcoming, spacious and buying options. Really well fitted out interior, large galley, overall it feels much bigger than it looks. Awesome walkthrough tour thanks 😊
@@Yachtsforsaleblog David! I have to commend you that you have a gift for presentation of speaking about every detail about a yacht from beginning to end!! I am astonished that you are not at a million subscribers! You are far the best at what you do above any other person that speaks about yachts!! KUDOS!
Built back when a 125 foot yacht was a large yacht, and could travel to most ports. You can tell how they thought more about functions and utility compared to todays yachts which are more about views and folding areas. The one place the older yachts do less well compared to newer ones are access to the water, the older ones were built to survive at sea with weather. The newer yachts if a door fails they are much easier to sink.
This really does have a second home look and feel to it. Love the galley! All spread out to prepare lots of meals with. Very nice. Thank you for the presentation.
Fantastic "old" gal! And the idea of donating her for a good cause is much better. I just wish many tired yacht owners would donate their assets to those humans who need help the most. That would be a counter-culture move that could bring so much good to people like our brothers in refugee camps.
Well, when I heard this was a charitable donation, I expected a real POS. But this is a remarkably nice yacht. In fact, I like the layout better than many new yachts. I was surprised to see how spacious the en suite heads are. Larger than a lot of other yachts. The decor is not bad either. 1984? Doesn't look like it. Not at all!
To be honest , what a beautiful , stunning vessel , I prefer the older models and there layout than the modern white outs of today!! Job well done! by the way , the "photoshop" room could easily have a couple of bunks put in for extra crew space
Beautiful yacht. Though it may be dated, the layout beats most modern yachts. It has all of the features I love in a well thought out manner. Plus, it is going to benefit an awesome charity.
I really like the way you have adopted the all access tour style of video. It is very informative and you present everything in a nicely organized and professional look. These videos are great.
If this weren't too big to run without crew, I would seriously call your colleague who's marketing it. It's got everything we're looking for in a liveaboard, including that marvelous little office. I love it. (Now if I can get most of the essentials from this boat into a 70'-90', I'll be ecstatic.) The purchase terms that sea turtle charity is offering are pretty fantastic too. I'm going to keep an eye on them to see if they get in any boats that are in the right size for us. That would be a really useful way to be able to buy.
Always hire a trustworthy marine surveyor and give any prospective yacht a thorough survey. Yachts are donated for a good reason and it has very little to do with being charitable. It has more to do with self-serving tax reductions of a declared amount far more than the problem yacht is worth resolving or on the resale market with problems unresolved. Even if this yacht were given to you free it is likely to require far more money to fix it to make it seaworthy than it will ever be worth. Nobody wants to throw good money after bad.
@@Jabbaerwocky Of course you hire a trustworthy marine surveyor. It's like buying a house -- I can think a listing shows potential, but that just means it's worth a phone call from my buyer's broker. After that, it's time to go look at it in person and bring along an expert to examine all the details for me. That's true about any yacht I'd be considering, though... not just those which come through charities.
The boat seems a great price for its size and age, but my concern would be what looks like water damage at 6:51 and 7:07 to the top and left of the picture. She does have a nice size galley and I am a fan of the library. Thanks for the video!
Given her age, this is a remarkably modern-looking yacht both from the perspective of her exterior lines and her interior layout. And the price and purchase terms make this an absolute steal. Word of warning though, the operating costs of this size of yacht are not insubstantial. Over the payment time period, you'd spent an appreciably equal sum just to crew and travel with her if you didn't just dock her most of the time.
Lovely yacht, just a refit from being perfect. The inclusion of the GA on the walk round gives a great impression of how things are. Keep up the great work.
I love the layout of this yacht. It would make for some interesting vlogs if you follow this yacht through it's sale, the new owner, and what is ultimately done with her. 👍✌
If memory serves me correctly this isn't the first time she was donated. I was onboard her 10+ years ago and she was in need of a lot of love back than.
Thank you for the walkthrough David. That is a lot of yacht for $2M and at that price, it would be easy to justify spending the money on an interior remodel. I'm sure it won't last long.
Give that yacht a nice refit and do an 80's Miami Vice theme. It's got enough deck space for some gaming tables. Charter it out for casino nights and parties. It would make for a nice little business.
The structured sale terms allow the seller to get a decent price rather than the usual fire sale that a donated boat needing essentially a full refit. this is actually a good deal if you like the layout and are satisfied with finishes and furnishings so that most of the refit money can go to fixings and upgrades mechanically and electrically etc...i see the Sunshine peaking out here..
The key to affordable, if I could even use that word here, ownership is to hire an experienced Captain, an experienced engineer and two stewards/stewardesses when needed and run the engines trawler speed. It’s too big for the great loop but who wants go go the the iron belt anyway. The East Coast and the Caribbean is my oyster.
So the camera operator thought that there were no engines? 😂 How did they think the boat moved, maybe a couple of the crew hanging on tight to the stern and frog kicked? Lovely interior by the way and lots of space all round.
They're 10,000 hours each, but engine _hours_ are less relevant to displacement vessels and the engines (Caterpillar 3412E) are famously reliable. The real issue is maintenance or not: if they've overheated (coolant or exhaust), contamination, salt water ingestion, etc. Those are the really important issues. If they've been and continue to be correctly maintained those engines have several tens of thousands of hours left.
Nice Music aswell! And i realy like the posotionmarker on the general arrangement shown in the corner! Would be lovely if you would keep this option in your future videos. greetings from germany
Very interesting layout and for her size she can carry 12+ passengers. That is surprising. For an owner operator with a few crew and willing guests like younger family they can take some of the crew space.
Some damp staining on the interior wall at 6:51 and wondered what could be the cause. Engineer, I need to understand all things like that, leaking pipe maybe? however I think its something more serious. Absolutely love the boat, interior is lovely. Live aboard
boats always have a leak or two in the winehouses or overhead,,, so many specs needed before more serious indrest.. when was the last bottom job, engie hours, transmission condition.. hoe many hours since SMOH..
She's heavy but displacement, so given she has 45k litres of fuel I'd guesstimate her range at 6,000 miles. It would be interesting to see how much I'm wrong by.
Yes it a nice old yacht. Problems are a marina that can deal with a 125 feet boat. Then even the price per foot. Go sky rocketing. 12 to 35 per running foot. My first yacht was over 200 feet.
