"QING" is one of the yachts in the Northrop & Johnson fleet that I most wanted to film. I remember when Cheoy Lee released this model on the market and the impact she had at the Monaco Yacht Show when she attended...her propulsion system is simple and effective. watch the video to see more details!
Pretending I had the money to buy this beautiful explorer yacht, I'd have to change the hull color from red to a dark sea green. Love the dark wood. Of course at my age, any wood is greatly appreciated.
😂
Any wood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well played sir. 👏👏👏
Any wood…sus
😂
Hahahahahaha
Like the yacth but sorry no chinese stuff.....
Nice follow-up video on Qing.
I love the red hull color and subtly integrated Chinese design features.
Also, great layout and technical setup with the many redundancies.
Fun fact: The logo of Qing is the traditional Chinese character 慶 (only used in the regions of Hong Kong, Tawain and Macau) for joy, festivity, felicity and celebrations which again matches with the hull color as red in China symbolizes luck, joy, fertility and happiness (-> it’s why brides in China don’t wear white but red wedding dresses).
So the name doesn’t seem to refer to the Qing dynasty (in that context qing - written with a different letter - is usually translated as water or azure to contrast with the preceding Ming dynasty which carried the symbol for fire) as I first thought without seeing the logo.
Of all the beautiful yachts you feature on your channel, this is the one I could actually envision myself living on. Not just a lot of glitz for a couple of weeks then sent off to be chartered, but designed as a true home on the water. Thoughtful and practical living areas for the owner/family and also the crew. Thank you for sharing and hope she finds an owner that will continue to cruise the world.
Agreed, beautifully set up. No nonsense, just a yacht to explore the world with, the fact that it has done is just a total confirmation of that.
I have to say that I do enjoy the way that you present a vessel, and I also appreciate that you are trying to sell the boat. But it would be nice if just once, you would mention something you did not like. Take this boat for example, it would seem that the Captains cabin should be very close to the bridge, not on the main deck. The layout of the vessel is terrible, and I thought that you may have said so .The dark wood finish on the main deck, maybe expensive, but looked like the inside of a church. The owners cabin was a mess, being plonked in between the two decks for the guests.
Her sister ship Dorthea III (ex Marco Polo) is also for sale. She has interesting story. Love the channel.
@@keithclark486 hhhhhhhhhh
I really love the interior of this yacht, dark woods done well, and certainly this yacht does it well, look so unique and exciting.
I remember being blown away by this yacht when it was launched. So cool to finally see a thorough walk through. I think the most remarkable thing is how pristine she is - especially given it's explorer pedigree. Clearly, this yacht has received endless love and attention. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us!!!
I don’t like the interior colors, too dark for my taste. Still a beautiful ship
This channel contains the most professional and innovative yacht presentations - thank you to everyone in front of and behind the camera!
I completely agree with Susan. It seems to be a beautiful, capable, and practical explorer yacht. I've seen this yacht on brokerage sites and other videos, and I found your video to be the most informative and enjoyable. Thank you.
The perfect yacht. A true explorer but in incredible style and luxury at the same time.
Really nice to see the increase in videos you and your team are putting out. Love it.
Thanks Nicholas - the biggest challenge right now is that our team are selling yachts so quickly we are running out of yachts to film!
@@Yachtsforsaleblog What a probelm to have!
I watch all the yacht channels, every one has its own flavor/speciality. You have by FAR the most professional and classy walkthroughs, telling a story about how the new owner might utilize the vessel. Any owner of a large yacht MUST get you to do the sales video! You should also be selling biz jets😀 .
Most Cheoy Lee explorer yachts have two propellers. The second one is a smaller one meant to be an emergency back up, but can also be used as an emergency to add speed. The most famous Cheoy Lee was Dorothea III. Along with its fishing boat Post One, they cruised the world fishing and exploring. It's what Cheoy Lee is known for. They are also known for offering their clients a spare propeller. When exploring, that is very important to have since it could take weeks to get a new one in case something happened. So most owners who own these take advantage of that and get a second propeller in case it's needed. Another aspect of these yachts is that they are easy to fish off of. The variable pitch propeller makes it easy to fish off this yacht and the jet drive makes it easy to back down on a fish if needed. A smaller Cheoy Lee that was named Short Round, actually participated in many offshore fishing tournaments in Florida. Sadly that boat was sold to someone in Asia and it's whereabouts are unknown but it was a cool unique boat as are most of these. Bering, Numarine, Cheoy Lee, CdM and Gulf Craft make some of my favorite yachts.
I wouldn't buy anything this big without two engines. After being left bouncing around on the Clyde River doing 20 to 30 deg rolls on a 65 boat with one engine, I want two engines.
@@Canopus68 it has 2 engines.
Fantastic boat, Beautifully filmed and presented by someone who actually knows the trade. Loved it!
Lovely yacht just pictures exploring the world on that yacht l wood love to own that yacht or l might by it and l will get in touch with your colleagues cheers mate
I'm not a fan of the Red finish on the outside, but I like how they used the darker wood in the day area & lighter wood in the bed areas, to me it's a nice contrast...
Wonderful video! Congratulations! Very much enjoy watching this channel despite the fact I have virtually no chances of owning a yacht.
Just a small note from an electrical engineer. We write kW (small k), for example at the generators installed capacity. Capital K signifies another unit Kelvin, which is for measuring temperature.
There are aspects of the layout that are very nice. But on the whole, bad design and layout. There are too many staircases going up and down. Could have been spectacular, but fell short.
@17:24 WOW a WORLD Exploring vessel which has the capacity for provisions for a whole two weeks☹️
Anyone else thinking of Nick when David climbed down the ladder to the bow engine room?
His this lovely yacht for sale still do it come with everything with it like tenders the 2 large storage lockers where the tenders are can you let me know thank you cheers mate
What a classy yacht. I would be very proud to be the engineer on a boat like this. The mechanical spaces look so well done.
I've been a good boy, please Santa, bring me this yacht for Christmas!
Wow you sir keep bringing us some of the most beautiful and unique yachts ever. That library is a dream and the layout is something I've never seen before. I really loved the woodwork it's elegant. The more I watch your videos the closer I get to buying a boat.
Same here
It will probably be a row boat but oh well
Made In China..I would not buy a toaster oven from China let alone a yacht
Jet for kicks I think you should do a boat tour of a pirate ship Galleon boat it maybe we'll have turned into a job check for the heck of it and just for fun make it more interesting and entreating perhaps maybe they might be selling it that'll be cool I might be interested in one of those
Great review. Gives us a very thorough impression of the yacht. That is what a prospective buyers wants. You combine that with what You Tubers like me enjoy from the likes of Aquaholic and Nautistyles, with the profession sales video of a broker. In my view - outstanding job. Please keep it up.
ruclips.net/video/Ap7PTOngNpE/видео.html
After seeing the technical spaces, I needed a moment to myself; that was truly inspiring. LOVED, loved, lived the engineer's office and lazarette. Nice job, David.

Just wondering? At 6:35 in the twin bed stateroom, there's a cell phone sized, what appears to be a mirror placed right where the wall and ceiling meet. Wonder what that could be?
The chief stewardess is actually a FLIBs award winner for table settings. The rest of the crew is also considered award winning for hospitality.
So do they go with this ship or do they follow the current owner to a new yacht ?
It’s up to the crew, the buyer, and the seller to decide when the yacht is purchased.
@@anderspersson7084 Give them a decent offer and they'll move to you.
@@Yachtsforsaleblog Hi David,
I have a question for you :
Let's say you have an explorer yacht and you're in the middle of nowhere like the back end of Canada, you want to celebrate a big occasion with fireworks.
Would you be allowed to do this?
Or even in international waters?
I'm not sure if you've had a question like this one.
@@lionelgower6877 international waters you can and in a remote area, really who is going to stop you. However, these are deemed 'explosives' and most captain's won't want them on the yacht to begin with. This is a,so assu in you bought them somewhere legally or legally-ish, then went into Canada you would be subject to to inspection and it is unlikely you would get them through customs. But if you sailed from America up to Canada then took a sharp turn at the north, you could set them off, but not on the ship. No captain will want them on board going off. Neither will most owners since they can burn the teak, injure people possibly, or create some other mishap. So again, the captain will want them off board from land. The other thing you have to consider is using fireworks and someone gets hurt seriously and you are in the back end of Canada. It just creates a situation the captain would need to answer for if the Coast Guard came because of a fire or someone was hurt. But if you own a yacht, you are rich enough to hire a pyrotechnics company to come in an do a proper show. Set things up on barges and what not. Wouldn't be cheap, but cheaper than the yacht burning down, rui ING the deck or a wrongful death/severe injury lawsuit
I'm not going to talk about the quality of the videos anymore. The top. Good idea to add the schematic of the boat. This yacht is formidable, by the beauty of the exterior (color). I am missing a few Euros. Well, more than a few, a lot. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks David and your Team 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
OH WOW I love those walls staterooms are nice bright clean ! No tacky gold scrolly crap like so many yachts :) truly nice interior and love that library and layout OH would be nice :)
This is the first yacht I cannot take issue with. It checks all the boxes on my list. One pet peeve of mine is the excessive number of TV screens on yachts. It is a yacht! Enjoy the experience! Watch TV at home! The single main engine with the secondary is an excellent solution. 11 crew for a 150' yacht? That seems like a lot. Why so many? Most yachts in this size have about half as many crewmen.
If it's just splashing around chartering you will likely not need a full compliment, but during proper exploration the bridge will be running a 24 hour shift system, three rotas of 8 hours. Also crew can include the likes of teachers for the children (as the previous owner did) so some crew slots will be optional (teacher, fitness instructor / nutritionist, PA, etc.).
Can you imagine yourself sitting on sundeck with a drink while the captain and crew serve you, as you cruise the world ?
hi david.this is all the super yacht you would need.the top deck is a bit plasticky but a bit of cosmetic enhancement will change the feel.very clever with the jet boost.did it say 13.5 million dollars or am i mistaken.take care david.;)
AWESOME video tour & detailed info . QING is an incredibly beautiful explorer superyacht . The salon & owners deck interior design & finishes look like a NY penthouse . Like how the Captain & crew accommodations are given more consideration & space . Mark (Toronto) 👍
Very nice and interesting presentation, again. Beautiful yacht I can imagine spend many months on. But what I realised is that I like the small change in presentation, where the main narration is not interrupted by spliced in detail shots - usually it is disturbing (it is fine as a "post" shot befor leaving certain area of the boat) and it confuses the sense of orientation. I really like this time it is clearly visible what path leads where, I get great "feeling" of the boat, of moving/being there. Much better for me to enjoy and also much easier to pretend I could spend some considerable time on a boat like this :) Anyway, great work as usual!
I really like the way you’ve presented the last couple of yachts. Really nice.
This yacht is really nice too
So I have a serious question. I watched hundreds of yacht walk through videos. I noticed that a lot of appliances are huge, such as refrigerators, freezers, washer and dryers...how do they remove them from the ship if one breaks down and has to be replaced or if the owner wants to upgrade appliances? The door ways, entry ways are so small....HOW DID THEY EVEN GET THEM IN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE? Do they install them at the shipyard before they finish the construction before it gets to tight? How do they get a full size sub zero fridge/freezer 3 floors down in the boat in the crew area with entry ways that barely fit a human??
I will try to explain this to you, altough am a bit late. But anyway I hope you'll see this answer.
There are few options for taking out/in machinery on a boat.
1. To be partialy dissasembled
2. Trough doors and hatches that are wide and intended for that.
3. Trough floors! Yup, you heard it right. They could use crane to verticaly lower machinery, and usually there are bolted sections of the floor that are intended just for that.
And finally
4. To just cut out a hole in the boat! I know it can sound crazy to you, but real boats are steel, so plasma cutting on a side of the hull is one of the most practical solution out there for such a task. Its quite easy to weld, repair, re paint.
Hope this answer your question.
5:35 that ''ARTWORK'' above the beds headboard whould be (if MINE) a monitor/tv or ''multiple ones'' that you could bring up the outside cameras views that one cant see from that room..... I am surprized there isn't more MONITORS that show outside ..... less leaking in ROGUE WAVES and watnot...
and you can put up ANY ART you desire on any of the monitors
Great ship as always David, but noticed your holding on to both stair rails as you go down the stairs. Think your starting to slow down a bit .I must drop Nick an email to let him know 😁😁😁
I’ll make sure I don’t use the handrail next time…just to reassure viewers that I’m still nimble!
That library takes the cake. I love it. Great presentation as always.
This dude has to be an English guy. He is literally a lil version of their Prime Minister. EDIT: I checked the channel info, he is English (I'll do that next time first).
I like the layout change of this yacht. Not sure how I feel about the interior wood, but it's probably something I could adjust to. I would also like to thank you on the number of videos you've been releasing recently. It's like every other day you upload a video and you're going to get us spoiled when you can't keep up that pace. ;)
Beautiful boat. I bet ya feel like a slave owning it though. Maintenance, crew, money for up keep is all stuff to worry about. No thanks.
Hi I really enjoy your videos but sometimes you come acrost as sexist nearly every video I've seen you make it is always Suggest the new owner will be a man yes I am sure more man on yachts than women but it would be nice If you just said something they Could do this or they could do that not always he. Not trying to be picky but it Comes across a little bit annoying sometimes.
I enjoyed the video. Just found it a bit strange that you're assumptions are that it's always going to be a man buying them. 🧐🙌🙌🙌
Bela embarcação c ótimo preço. A apresentação dispensa qq comentário. Parabeeeens.
Breakfast area next to the bar? Sold!
Even on a yacht this size I would still prefer the owner's cabin to be amidships, full beam, on the waterline.
You are talking about the crew doing garbage runs I don't remember A-day when I was a kid and we are out of my father's yacht and all he did was just tossed a garbage off the Stern How about father and his friends you should just toss their beer bottles in the water no more can that be done today but it was a different day in age back then
That jet drive on the front that can turn 360 degrees is called a bow thruster sorry but it just didn't sound like the guy knew what it was other than that he is doing an excellent job on the tour that's just my opinion.
This is a beautiful ship full of options for all ages. What a striking difference is made though with the bold use of the colour red. Just stunning.
If it was owned by a Chinese billionaire, chances are it was to symbolize the CCP haha it is bold though I give it that
The helium 3 and 4 and titanium oxide and lime from these beautiful boats is now in our water pipe and it's going to keep coming.
This YACHT would be perfect IF : 1- The cabins had bigger windows. 2- There was a Jacuzzi, a bar and a bigger grill on the sundeck 3- A platform (in the back) that would go below the water line to create a mini beach area.
When you're schilling a boat like that,at least dude up with a pair of monogrammed slippers!
Love the yachts to bits, but it's disappointing when a room with two cardio machines is called "the gym"
من اليخوت الجميله اللي شفتها والاه الون مميز وملفت للنظر بالتوفيق 👍👍👍👍
And while I’m here, beautiful, but too dark. I would have gone for light wood and cream.
Two dining areas is a waste of space. Formal dining is very rare these days on yachts, so it's a double whammy. It needs an entertainment area with a big screen.
Normaly I dont like colours but love the red, I would make the couch white though because it is too much red for me now. If i had the money of course
Why do most of these video have advertisements like Land Rover on. Don’t they get it, most of us are dreamers not buyers.
Hydrostatic release the new wonder that will make a difference...
,😂🤣😂😂
Wow, that beautiful boat, and how stupid with one engine, don’t care about stupid jet drive crap
wow..i think i could very easily lost my self in,, for 1 year with pretty good idea where..
Too much dark wood on the main floor, otherwise I would consider purchasing this...
Such a beautiful vessel
I can personally attest to the reliability and functionality of the Schottel Jet Drive. A few years ago, whilst serving aboard a North Sea Rescue Vessel we lost the main propulsion in a gale of wind, for four days we manoeuvred in the gales in the North Sea Winter using only the Fwd Schottel Drive, it worked like a treat, kept us moving slowly but most importantly, kept our head to the wind. Qing or Dorothea III would be my yacht of choice.
Yes red is nice but fades so fast the out door furniture will be a mess in one year, and the hull will show salt and fade so fast. Nice though if you can redo that
stuff
Why are all these boats from China?
Thanks for watching. China really don't build many luxury yachts at all - by far the majority of yachts I film are from Italy.
Asking price from the Northrop & Johnson website April 2022 is: $13.5M
Very nice video, thank you David.
She's a lovely boat.
Very nice presentation of a beautiful yacht. Would love to live aboard her. I'm just a bit short of funds at the time, maybe about $13,490,000. Of course then there's the cost of staffing, stocking and maintaining her. Oh, well. Never mind.
david realy enjoy yexplaiour videos could you please explain your defonition of a qualified buyer someyime
I'm not the only one that refrigerates or freezes my garbage to keep it from smelling? Who knew?
Why don't more companies do that when they work with steel halls and trying to keep the superstructure light anytime you put 2 dissimilar medals together you get electrolysis and corrosion Now I always wondered why have they used more GRP structures on steel halls to prevent that That just made that boat 10 times more appealing to me
Such a beautiful layout, the only change I would want to make would be having 2 screws vs just the 1. I get the bow thruster is powerful, however you get much better handling with 2 vs 1 and that's 20 years experience on the open ocean in vessels from 150' up to over 1,000'.
And the wood, very interesting choice but it works beautifully, makes it feel more comforting and inviting the way a home should, or home away from home.
Definitely, my future Yacht will be 100% solar. I cant affod going to the fuel station every now and then and spend thousands of dollars.
i sold him some shower curtain rings... (when asked how i could afford it)
It's funny but I actually think the crew quarters are more cozy than the guest facilities. It's so tiny and cocoon. I would rather sleep there than in a giant cold bedroom like on the private floor.
Dear Lord, you know my heart, you know my desires. Allow me to serve you. Allow me to help other people and do your work. Please allow me to be able to attaine a yacht like this. In Jesus name I pray, 🙏 amen.
Is this boat inspired by the Delta marine expeditionary yacht Sinbad by any chance?
Excellent presentation David! I guess fate brought this horrid covid to keep me stuck in West Africa so you could show me the perfect yacht for my plans to semi retired and live on a yacht to explore the worlds most remote locations, away from covid! I have been contacted by Lauren from NorhRope but it appears the wrong route?
Lovely and very practical explorer yacht lovely guest areas, great crew area apart from triple cabins, bad enough after a long shift one other person possibly disturbing you but, 2, no, not really crew friendly sleeping accommodation!
Amazing how David's thick accent disappears when he is distracted by something. I could actually understand what he was saying for a change.
For the price I could have a Sunseeker which blows this yacht out of the water
Not bad, just gotta shift a few more kilos of heroin and it could be mine.
Wwwouaouwww super beau. Magnifique.
Mais il est où le jaccuzi ?
can't believe I missed this video from last year. One of my favourite designs along with it's sister ship. I wonder if they are not selling because they are Chinese in origin and most people like a European yacht?
our family friends bought this yacht lol
Boa noite. Qlinda embarcação com a otima apresentação deste profissional corretor. Ainda não é possivel fazer a força destes motores de forma hibrida, economizando assim no alto custo com diesel, alem de diminuir drasticamente a poluição do ar. Obrigado.
Wonderful explorer yacht - and surprising value too, was expecting this to cost 5m+ more than the ask. Thank you.
I like this yatch because getting to know your crew leads to trust. Trust will build a relationship to help change the direction if someone gets in a pinch
At approx 1:34 into the video, it appears the Macassar paneling appears to bubble. Is the interior actual wood, a laminate, or as the air bubble suggest a thin veneer /vinyl covered ?
A lovely boat. I just hope that someone realises a dream and buys this, then continues to cruise around the planet with it. Best wishes and good luck to them.
Very unique. Not my personal style but I know someone will find it perfect. Thanks for sharing, David!
David it needs a refit....the doors need slide electronic doors....and the steps need to be moved out of the salon....many other issues ....however it does have a strange charm about it
David, what qualifies a person to be a buyer of a super yacht? I'm guessing $$$$
