  • Welcome back! Its close to fall and time to think about protecting that old classic, refurbing some seals or replacing old gaskets.
Today I am working on a 1966 Mustang, original color was Ivy Gold which was renamed in 1968 to Bullit Green after the movie that made car chases in downtown San Francisco a fun thing.
Here is an additional excellent source for removal and install of a 1966 Mustang windshield: • 1965 to 1968 Ford Must...
Come along with me as we plod through this event!
As a note, in the video, i found a partial stub from an old drive in theater visit. The Kenmore Drive In opened in 1953 and closed in 1984, just over 30 years of films and drive-in car fun were had.

I waited until I had a 90 degree F day (32C), left the car facing the sun so the old rubber would be soft. After a couple of hours it was pretty soft to remove.
Ya that old sealant was generously lathered on at the factory for sure!
