When I restored my 1968 Mustang Coupe a few years ago I did my own front and rear glass after watching a lot of youtube. I first tried doing the windshield with a cheap weather strip from CJ Pony parts and that was a mistake, it was stiff and tore tiring to put it on the glass. I went with a Scott Drake weather strip and it worked much better but I tried putting the windshield in the bottom channel first than laying it down to pull the cord in and it was a little tight at the top. I should of pulled it out and started over but I didn't and I have a little water leak on the right top but I don't drive in the rain so it's fine. When I did the back glass I got it right the first time and it went in like butter, I couldn't believe how easy it was
Absolutely beautiful car and a great job putting her together! Can I ask why you didn't use strip caulk in the weatherstrip gasket? Is it not necessary?
Thank you. Nope, I made a mistake on this car. I should have added the strip caulk. I thought I would seal it from the outside. Big mistake, I will have to pull this out and re-do it.
Any way to install those clips with the window already installed? I have 65 fastback and it only has the top trim, the rest was missing. I bought the trim but trying to figure out how to put these clips on. There definitely no studs on the car. They must have rusted off.
Yes something like this. www.harborfreight.com/4-23-in-125-lb-dual-suction-cup-lifter-57501.html?campaignid=17890472041&adsetid=140972217273&product=57501&store=44&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwJWdBhCYARIsAJc4idAtqhikzPFUkn2hvp5JM6qrL3IrXlsqBtRT06PjRw93elXeNqA45h8aAuE7EALw_wcB

Hard to see with the car being black & shiny but still a cracking video ❤

Do you have any insight for someone doing this by themselves?

How can I contact you regarding a question ?
My RUclips main page has a "contact tab" I believe. Possibly under the about section. Probably have to be on a desktop to see it.
