Barry when I pulled the quarter glass on the left side I didn't take picture's of where things went watching you do this I'll take picture's this time and label what goes where go info thumbs up 👍👍
*68 Mustang coupe - hardtop In the process of replacing worn out window belt line seals i discovered my passenger side quarter window was busted. Window rollers are missing. I'm able to freely pull/push window up and down with fingertips. Somehow I was able to jam it and sustain it's "up" position. At least until I get the parts needed to fix it. I was worried about the "how to do it" part; taking the window out, installing new parts, putting it back in, and adjustments. This video helps alot!! I feel more confident taking on the task.. thank you Sir!
Thank you so much fir this video!!!! I had to take the passenger side quarter window out of my 67 convertible and needed to know the proper sequence to get it back in! Your video is perfect!
Great job Barry, I converted my fixed rear quarters on my 73 Fastback to roll up quarters a couple months ago, dealt with some of the same things as you did on here. Keep it up. Thanks for posting these videos.
My 67 has green windows and it was not factory AC. I also had to replace a roller. I didnt want to wait for shipping so I modeled one and 3d printed it.
Great tip on using screws instead of the janky clips that my new outer quarter beltline weatherstrip comes with... they must have used some special tool to insert those firmly...IDK...SMH...so your solution is great. I do need to see the inner quarter panel fuzzy weatherstrip installed and hoped you had done this... oh, well. Thank you for your work on classic Mustangs.
great video. do you have one for the regular side window and vent window installation? also would white lithium grease work better than the brake glide in your video? Your videos are very helpful please keep this up.
@@JoDaddysGarage in your opinion which would be better? the brake glyde or white lithium. dont need dirt and build up if I go through all that work! Thanks!
Do you have a video on forward and back quarter window adjustment? Auto Resto Mod has a video, but it is for 65 and 66. They are different than 67 and 68.
@@JoDaddysGarage also, your needle nose pliers with the angled/bent handle….did you bent those or were those purchased with that angled grip? What brand? Thanks!
Thanks Jo Daddy. This was very helpful . I’m currently putting quarter glass in a 66 mustang and I have everything attached but when I get the glass almost up to the top, the roller runs off the back side of the glass track. It does the same thing on both sides. What am I missing? Could the regulators be bent, or could I possibly have the lower vertical glass run on the wrong side? Any information would be helpful. Thanks
@@JoDaddysGarage yes sir I have the seals in place. I am going to mess around with it some more tomorrow. I didn’t tear this car apart, so I’m working off video footage from awesome people like you to try to get it back together . Thanks again for the vids..
@@JoDaddysGarage I think that I figured out my problem.Although I am not near the nightmare car, I am thinking that the top 2 holes in the glass backing plate has about an inch of forward and backward movement, so if I move that towards the rear that would solve the problem of the regulator roller dropping out of the glass. I will try that tomorrow and let you know how that goes. Thanks again for your help and videos..
Ohh man. I’m at this point. Do you think you’ll be doing the door regulator and window soon? Oh I’m writing this comment while letting the adds finish out.
Just been fighting with mine and lost ! Watched this and back out for another go, thank you sir !
Even though mine is a fastback. I watched this whole video. Loved it.

thank you so much for this video! it saved me so much headache trying to figure this out

I believe the green tint was standard with A/C cars, and optional for non A/C.

Thanks! Very helpful. I did make some minor adjustments for a 65 convertible
I was waiting for this install. I'm trying to do mine but couldn't figure it out
Me too.😆
@@stallionranchwoodworks they are such a pain, I'm staying tune for front windows now too
Thank you 👍🏻 cool Video and nice to see your work
Wish I'd seen this a week ago - I was doing the exact same job but on the driver's side! Thanks for the info - I think I'll go and re-do mine :o)
have you ever tried an ultrasonic cleaner, they work fantastically
I have, but I don’t have one of my own.
Great video. Where did you get the seal kit with the staples and other items?
It was all in a weatherstrip kit from CJ pony I think.

Check the whole playlist for this car. “Jade” white lithium will work.

@@JoDaddysGarage no worries. Maybe something to consider in the future?
Can you share part number for the “fuzzy” seals AND the weatherstripping seal please? Thank you!
I don’t have that on hand. I thought I shared the numbers In the video?

I bought them. Probably from harbor freight.

Have a video I can share but not able to attach it.
Big help, still a pain to get back together tho!

I will.
The rollers from cj pony parts are cheap junk
