    Very curious....why the second application of glue? I've used contact cement before (counter tops etc) and usually you apply it to each surface, let get tacky and then stick them together. What you're doing is applying a wet part to a dry part.

      Good question, Applying it to both surfaces allows it to bond to both pieces separately. Applying a new layer ensures both pieces will bond together and reactivate the glue incase it dries too much or too quickly. In Florida and when I did that video it was mid summer and the glue dried very quickly due to the extreme heat.
