One little known thing in the film is that every time you see Guy wearing glasses, they are different glasses. Every day, he wakes up and takes a pair of glasses off the first players he meets.
So funny thing.. this movie was originally made by Fox but the release date was stalled because of the Disney x Fox merger it got put on the shelf for like an additionaly 2-3 years... CLEARLY once they found out they were under the Disney brand they were like "CAN WE PLAY WITH THE TOYS!" lol and the Cap/Hulk/Lightsaber sequence was born lol
The story I heard is that, after the acquisition, the creators of this movie called up their new bosses and asked for permission to use some of the newly accessible Marvel and Star Wars IP - like maybe Captain America's shield, or Hulk's arm, or a light saber. The higher-ups at Disney said "yes", clearly meaning "Sure, you can do one of those", but the producers decided to be a bit cheeky and pretend to believe that they got permission to do *_all_* of those, hoping they'd get away with it, after the fact. They did all the additional shooting and effects work they needed, and when they presented the finished movie, it was so good that they _did_ get away with it. 😁 No idea whether that's true, but I really hope it is.
15:53 fun fact: the director, Shawn Levy was also the director for Deadpool and Wolverine and it totally make sense. He was great at this movie along with Ryan Renolds
I love this because in most movies, people picture AI as a threat, as something that wants to take over humanity. But this however explore the other side of AI that just wants to live, to be more than a program.
Someone said something once about aliens that I believe applies to AI sentience as well; People always assume aliens will come to earth to be hostile and take over because that's what humans would do if we had the chance. Same thing applies to AI, if you relate AI to npcs, we kill them for fun all the time, why wouldn't they do the same?
that's also because A.I. is usually shown as being created (usually, by intention) to help manage our world; so, they're already tapped into our infrastructure, and that is the basis for how they learn, so quickly. if you were born, and raised, in war, you'd quickly learn survival tactics, and it would make a huge impression on the way you think about things

NPC AI is becoming more and more immersive, so who knows, maybe soon we will see games that have implemented a system, for example, a GPT chat that responds in real time and it will actually be like free gay, some game mods already do things like this or trial models.
Seriously, one of the best movies to come out in recent years. Under the exterior of an amazingly fun piece of media are messages of life being it's own meaning, not ignoring the people near you and AI right. A perfect balance of silly fun and serious ideas
It took me a solid 10 seconds to realize y’all are in the same room
the scene with no NPCs is how Fallout 76 felt at launch.
the chris evans cameo was just cause chris was in the area when they were filming and ryan asked him if he wanted to do it
Imagine they found Chris in Cafe and then they like yo can we film you right now
THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING KEEP IT UP ❤

I forget some of the scenes from the movie, I fast forward from the video and see your reaction to see the Captain American Shield and the Lightsaber scene. ❤
something i just noticed is that the tank that runs over a car near the start of the movie is a scorpion from HALO
