Great video, as always. I'm an old noob and much more confident with a feeder than a pole atm. So it's definitely something I'm going to try out. Your videos have taught me so much good stuff. Great teacher👍 All the best.
Great tutorial Mikey really well explained and full of great tips. To catch thoses bigger wiser carp. Keep up the great content. Looking forward to the next one Mikey 👌 👍
Great video Mike, same as you, I love the bites on the method feeder also learnt alot , brilliant demonstration , Good luck in your big match this week 👍
What a great video showcasing a great method. I presume you could use this method in Margins from 10" to up to 3ft deep. Another method added to the list of match winning methods. Good luck at Willinghurst (watch out for the Crayfish!!).
Another brilliant video Mikey love the leader hack simple but effective another lesson logged thank you 🌟 Mikey any chance you could do a run through of the leader please and do you use this on normal method feeder.
Great vid, thank you. I’ve never fished the method feeder set up like that, I didn’t quite understand the set up with the leader and elastic, grateful if you could explain to an idiot!!
@@BarrrySpiers hey Barry, my fault I didn’t explain that very well there, so attach the leader to your mainline with a loop to loop, same as you do with attaching a hooklenght to your mainline on the pole. Then other end of your leader do a simple overhand loop there is a little clip on the end on the elastic that’s in the feeder pop your loop over the clip and pull and it will clip into place 👌
Another excellent video, Mikey I like the idea of floucarbon acting like leadcore in front of the feeder. Another question for you what's the music called that you use on the videos? All the best at willinghurst this weekend mate
Some great tips around the rod direction and using a leader. Do you always have it 2 x the rod length? I’ve just ordered some .30mm Fluro to try this method at the weekend. Fluro is stiff so do you use a longer loop2loop so it goes through the rings easily? Thanks again as this year I’ve definitely seen the margins become popular and not just for the last 60-90mins.
@@paulstaniford8622 normally Paul yea like a leader so iv got one turn of it on the reel, my loops are probably about an inch long each, not to worried as im not looking for too much distance.
Dave Hough and roy marlow need respect for inventing the method feeder how many matches as their invention won also can you give us a name for the back music so i can annoy my neighbours playing it loud another great vid but i wont be buying gurus new rods they have took the guru colour off them ive got 3 ngauge with the orange they just look great together
With the leader how are you tieing to the mainline? I fished a fluorocarbon leader recently- loop to loop with the mainline - it broke off at the loop and i lost the full rig including feeder. Im scared to use a leader again but I know it gets more fish.
@@garstangterrier501 hi mate, exactly the same I always go loop to loop, always find it super reliable. Iv got very strong line on there 10lb to 15lb so should never break on that gear. Don’t be afraid to fish strong Mainline’s 👌
@@dragonangling wicked bud, fishing the Wednesday open there next week so I’ll keep that in my armoury for sure 🔥 I e always thought of figuring a way out t to get bites when it’s absolutely solid there and your float doesn’t go under for love nor money 😂
On the theme of fishing the margins with a method, are you allowed to place your feeder in the swim using the pole cupping kit? Also, would a back lead help?
@@davemadill3782 hi David, that’s something you’ll have too look up in tye fishery rules, back lead would definitely help but I wouldn’t want it to get caught on the leader knot if my mainline snapped and the fish would be trailing all that line about. Mike are you puting dead reds loose feed in the ground bait around the feeder our just in the baiting up mix. Thanks
