    Had mine for few years and now it does not produce cold air. Cleaned it out well.
    I also drain it of water. I noticed however when I moved it a lot of water came out. Perhaps that water is important in making the air cool. Do I need to keep running it after cleaning?

      Are you running it in cool mode? I have had a few cases where I had it operating in fan or dry. As for cleaning I have only vacuumed the filters. Have not drained out any liquid from the unit. Hope you get it functioning properly again.

    How in the world do you install the window panels to the hose? Not enough screw holes, the filter cover is completely dished from the one on the manual and I feel like this has mix matched pieces that won’t go together.

      There are two screws. Every summer I inspect them prior to installing the panels and hose in the window. Still going strong!!!

    Hi, thank you for this video. I have a question about the compressor. Is it supposed to get hot, like to a point where you cant keep your hand on it longer than a second?

    • @thesehandsshowitall3967
      @thesehandsshowitall3967  12 дней назад

      No, I have never encountered heat at touch. I have noticed that the hose gets some heat. My suggestion here would be to clean the screened in areas and filter. Have the unit run at low to medium speed rarely high. Could also incorporate the timer for 1 hour on and off especially at night. If your unit is getting that hot it is working overtime. Hope this helps!

      So agree, running on low helps reduce the noise. I also have my setup installed in a guest bedroom window running a longer hose so the AC unit sits outside of the door to my bedroom. Another measure to reduce the noise.

    Just put this same unit in my son's bedroom it shuts on and off periodically throughout the night not sure if that's normal does yours do that ? I think it gets to the set temp and cuts off instead of just kicking the compressor out .

    It’s supposed to be portable but they give you that extra short cord then tell you not to use an extension cord so basically u can’t move it

      @@thesehandsshowitall3967 can the air cool a room that’s 300 square ft by sitting in one spot or do you have to move it around a bit?

    • @thesehandsshowitall3967
      @thesehandsshowitall3967  2 года назад

      I have seen good results with moving and leaving in one spot. The extended hose gives me flexibility.They say 300 sq feet is the max for cooling. Have you tried positioning the swing to stationary to help direct your air flow? This has worked for me. Maybe worth a try.

      I have too weekly, its largely because you are either running it to much and the condenser coils are getting cold enough to freeze or your room its in is very humid. Sucks but its doing the job for the room its in.

      In the back at the bottom of the unit is a drain. To this day there hasn't been in liquid in my ac. The cleaning I do consist of removing the upper and lower screened vents with a vacuum. hope this helps... thanks for your time!

    • @thesehandsshowitall3967
      @thesehandsshowitall3967  18 дней назад

      Wow… 74% humidity is really high. The unit is working overtime to counter that. I haven’t encountered anything like that but I am here in the Midwest. A full vacuuming of screened areas and filters would be the only recommendation. I hope things change for you!
