Mine wont work. I get EF error code and it only blows as a fan. No cold air. It was only used 1 summer. I called GE and they told be to buy a new one!!! I paid $500 for this!! Anyone know how to fix it?
My GE portable A/C was showing flashing the FL code and i tried to empty it but it was already empty! Baffled i thought maybe it is telling me to put water in it so it can cool itself? I added @ quart of water to it and it works perfectly! FL means fill? Worked for me!!
Where do you fill it? In the drain holes? My cooler used to work like a champ last year but now it’s down right useless. It blows somewhat cool air but doesn’t cool my room.
I will never buy a GE product again... mine never worked from the start and was recommended an upgrade kit to a dual hose setup for $100 more, so that's 7 - $800 for a product that does not work. GE said not our problem and referred me to where I bought it. The retail store said yea we can't accept this after 30 days, It took over a year to get the dual hose upgrade that was on backorder because GE didn't want to admit their product didn't work and purposely extended their lies to try and cover it up and hope that no one returns the product...
Not helpful. The title says portable ac & this video is for a window ac. I have a Ge portable ac 10,500 btu. Paid $500 exactly a year ago & it’s already not working. As soon as the warranty is up.
agree..it is a worthless piece of junk that lasted about 16 months. Servie manual says it won't cool if "room is too hot" No Ge portable.....have had 6 years of service with a 500 btu unit from LG window ac. /but not allowed to have window ac in front of home. ..will do it anyway !

Unit shut off and will not power back on , tried the reset but still won't come back on
