Thank you for posting this. There are a few vids covering this issue out there, but yours has been most helpful. I have a 2011 Taurus limited & just started having problems with the dual zone heater last night, and this video will likely save me some $ over going to the dealership or a heating/ac shop. Thanks!!
Helpful video. FYI, Dorman 604-234 will not fit a 2010 Ford Taurus according to Dorman's website. (2011-2015) Be sure to check your own part #'s if not working on a 2015 Taurus like in the video.
Absolutely excellent instructions. Very clear and not too hard. Thank you for the information. Just had service done. Did not realize this was needed also. Uugh!! 🤨
Bro thank you so much. This was incredibly helpful. Both of the actuators were out and I replaced them. But man that one on the left behind the wire harness was a pain in the ass. 😂😅
I had the same problem, i changed the one on the front of the heater. Still didn't fix the problem. Buy watching your post now I know it may be the other one I wasn't aware of. Going to attempt to change that one. Hopefully it will work. I'll let you know.
when you took the first part out, and you said push up the connector that had the wire on it the video went straight to the part you took out first. why am i pushing up that connector and what do i do next
My active shutter assembly got broken when i hit a deer but now I barely have any heat even if car is sitting idling, so I put cardboard behind grill and it didn't help at all, so do I have more of an issue besides the shutters?
Thanks. I was able to repair my wife’s car by watching your video. That back bolt is a tough one.

Great tip using the paper to hold the screw in the socket! So simple but will be so handy! Great video! Very informative.

Halving this same issue with my 2014 Taurus, except it’s stuck on very hot on passenger side.
Fixed yet?

Make sure to use Ford OEM part,,,,the aftermarket ebay, amazon parts for this are garbage
Your right I've replaced dorman twice. So I hope motorcraft is the answer.
I went with the Motorcraft, $27 from Home Depot, free shipping at my house in 3 days?! I guess the Ford plastic part isnt too bad it lasted 14 years?😮
