As a 15 year old in Oklahoma, I started flying sailplanes and always felt honored to be circling in the same thermal as a magnificent bird of prey. Mostly red tail hawks. An eagle this size would have been incredible.
His little head is just be-boppin back and forth looking at all the scenery as he's up there driving around, then when he's coming in on final approach its steady and and straight as an arrow, crazy awesome!
And doing up to 160 kph. I never realised the noise... in a Cessna the engine drowns everything out but here you really get a feel for it. Practically a living miniature fighter jet. And take a look at the side profile of the B2 bomber. It's an eagle!
AWESOME! This is exactly what it's like when I fly my hang glider. Hang gliding is the closest way to fly like a bird, even our landings are very similar in that we too have to flare and land on out feet. Thanks for posting.

So we see 4 billion years of trial and errors, and selective pressure (survival of the fittest) - to be now in that phase of mastering flight in this perfection. For me, it really makes feel the perfection of 4 billion years development time.
