    I still have this car :( .... Yes it's only left me stuck once in the 7 years that I owned it which is great but it has lots of little issues .
    I had the transmission rebuilt a couple years ago when the car prices were high . Anyways the seal is leaking again and this time
    I want to replace the seal instead of pushing back in .... thank you for keeping this video posted.

      Gabriel Ruvalcaba original seals are always better, most of the time they are way more expensive, but worth it if you can afford it.

    Raul thank you so much for this video was so informative and step-by-step really help me but before that I moved things and now I got to reset the timing all together and I'm curious about the VVT Hub what do I do to actually pull that off and put that seal in and what kind of adjustments am I going to have to do when I put it back on

      Jerry Gould I never got into removing the other seal. I would take it to a specialist. You need special tools for the timing pulleys. It's out of my realm of expertise

    Thank You for the video . I'm about to do this on my 2000 s80 T6.
    I just did a PCV system overhaul a couple weeks ago (was plugged up and probably caused the cam seal to fail.)

      Erik's MRE Reviews usually thats the start of many issues with this crappy vehicle. I sold it a few years ago. The turbo model has alot, alot of issues

      @@raiderman28 well it's funny that you said that , I didn't get to replace the seal yet . The fuel pump decided to fail on me yesterday . But hey I paid $750 for it 3 years ago and has been good to me , but I agree that these cars tend to have more issues than the non turbos.

    Can you make a video on how to drop the subframe to access the power steering high pressure and return hoses? I have an engine support bar, but still need to see a demonstration on how the lower subframe. I can get my hand in and feel the valves but no way I can get a tool in there and I can’t see.

    Yeah but make sure you unplug battery in trunk. Otherwise you gonna weld with positive cable unplugged from fuse box. Also be aware while removing seal, if you scratch camshaft at sealing point a little bit it will be leaking for ever. Greetings. Nice video.

    I've just been told car has a rear crankshaft seal oil seal leak. Is it the same process as this??

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  3 года назад +1

      No. Crankshaft and cam shaft are two different parts

    GREETINGS RAUL, GREAT JOB TANX FOR THE INFORMATION. CAN A DEFECTIVE MASS AIR FLOW METER CAUSE YOUR VOLVO NOT TO START???

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  7 лет назад

      HOTT LAA'VA MEDIA/SPORTTS it's a possibility, but usually a clogged air filter would be a more obvious reason of a no start. But there are so many reasons a car wouldn't start. You have to check in a specific order
      Ignition, compression, power and exhaust are the 4 things needed for a vehicle to run

    • @tundezzzstargatekommunicat6112

      KOOL WHAT I HAVE SEEN IN RECENT TIMES WHEN I START THE CAR IT IDLE ROUGH, ON THE DASH BOARD THE NEEDLE SKIPS BACK N FORTH THEN JUMPS FROM 1 TO 3 OR 4 WHILE STUTTERING. SO I WILL CHECK AGAIN TO MAKE SURE THE 4 THINGS U MENTIONED ABOVE IS WORKING...
      RESPECT RAUL.

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  7 лет назад

      HOTT LAA'VA MEDIA/SPORTTS I would start at the air filter, clean the mass air flow with mass air flow spray cleaner, check all coil packs by unplugging while running ( if it runs) the car should run worse when you unplug the coil pack, if it doesn't, the coil pack is bad. Volvos are known for bad coil packs.

    How critical is it if the cam seal leak oil?

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  4 года назад

      Zee S well if it leaks alot, you will run out of oil and blow the engine. As long as you keep oil level normal , then its just a leak and will smell as it burns on the engine block.

      @@raiderman28 quick question do u think it might be my valve cover gasket. There videos stating that there is no valve cover gaskets. Im not sure exactly where the oil coming from but the car underneath is fladed lol but when i clean up the black some and put a pice of carbon undernith there like no oil falling lol
