I have never pressure washed it.
I just wipe it on a regular basis with some rags. Used some sandpaper on the aluminum injector cover. To dress I use Meguiars Vinyl & Rubber cleaner/conditioner 40.

You must use at least 50/50 antifreeze to deionized water. Only water will boil and corrode your system.

Hello...9 years ago this was made. I need to replace only my upper hose and it seems like something I can do myself (I'm a woman, almost 60 and have never repaired a car). I like my mechanic but I know it's gonna cost $150 or so...and it looks do-able for me.

And the car keeps serging but the rpm stays on 6/7 rpm but the engine sounds like its gasping for air, I have also replace all air hoses at least all the ones I saw. When I drive it drives great.

Hello, I have the exact same model that you use, I am considering these full radiator hose replacement as well as coolant fluid. Do you ever consider about replacing water pump? Unless you think both components pressurize when sending coolants? I am sorry but I am fairly new with Volvo maintenance. I didn't want to cause it to leak because new radiator hose has been replaced. Looking forward to hear from you soon!

If your heater runs very hot in your car then the water pump is doing its job

volvosweden I see. Let meask you one more question, I had a crash the other day, due to the coolant flooded all over inside the cabin while driving, big explotion and then hot coolant all over inside the drivers seat, have you ever experience that? would that have to do with the coolant reservoir over filling, topped off above the max up to the cap? thank you in advance for your input.

    • @volvosweden

I had coolant leak from heater core where the driver feet are. Seal replaced. If was smak leak on driver floor carpet.
