We saw the show a few days ago and it was very well done. We really enjoyed it. The complaining makes me laugh. I have also been a fan since the 70s. Of course it’s not the same now! Even back then self-proclaimed “real fans” would say things like, “Kiss is not as good as the first 3 original albums, It’s not the same without Peter, It’s not the same without Ace, Paul lost his voice, Gene wears a onesie.” Get a life! Go find a new band to piss & moan about. These guys are retiring. Enjoy your memories.
I first saw KISS when I was 13 on the Destroyer /Spirit of ‘76 Tour in July of ‘76. My last and/or final show was in Cincinnati three weeks ago; my third time on this tour. I agree with you whole heartedly!
I was at Hollywood the other night for my 10th KISS show I've seen. I grew up with KISS and I walked away at the end of the show like I did the other 9 times saying to myself, "these guys kicked ass!". They have never disappointed me.
Like Kiss or not , they set the standard for a rock show . Long before " the wall , even before Queens rhapsody or any of the others. They ate a band that not one individual stands out but as a collective band , they made the rock show an art !! Like them or not , they have survived all the changes in music and realized that Kiss is a brand , it's a collective group and there shows have remained an experience.

To be honest there is literally no legitimate spontaneity to this mix. KISS have maintained a standard concert song list for many years as they have a prescribed alleged 'soundcheck' song list of the same songs. The exception is the well-heeled folks paying premium prices to be at this soundcheck may have expected far deeper unheard KISS songs...surprise!!!...its a template of at least the last 2 years. Was it worth $2k???
Paul holding back the band (I get it, it's a soundcheck, albeit a paid one I'm sure) like he has for years, vocally, attitude-wise. Damn just be into it on this last run. If it's all fake vocals/backing tracks, lawsuits, etc... Kiss Army deserve better. But thanks for the memories!
I’m glad they are making an effort to change up the staging for the last few shows, but that said…those lights on stage look like ATM machines-very distracting.
The more you try to convince and joke to people that you really don't sing, the more we don't believe you! I mean it's obvious Paul's voice is completely shot, and if people want to go see that's fine, I've been out since the reunion tour, but you get your die-hard fans that will never admit they should have retired 20 years ago for real, Paul Stanley is one of the greatest singers of all time, but has become a joke, and I don't want to hear anybody giving me shit I've been a fan since 1976 when I was 7 years old, as with anybody we get old and we retire and we change Etc. I just wish they would have done it 20 years ago to save this band from being more of a mockery that it's always been in people's eyes, I may be tough on them now but I'm honest and this was the very first band I've ever loved and has for 47 years, please just end this tour and be done. It's beyond embarrassing for them, old, slow and very un entertaining in 2023
I agree. My dad has listened to them since the 70's and even he won't see them when they come to Edmonton. I thought it would be something we could both do since we don't have much in common, and to me the ticket prices don't matter since it's something I'd get to do with my dad, but he's not sold on it. It's just too absurd at this point and I tend to agree.
@AustinOgonoski I'm sure your dad will tell you, kiss was genuinely scary and dangerous ,nobody knew what they were who they were and I'm not being hyperbolic, we just were amazed and terrified, they did get very very commercial. but in the very beginning up until probably alive 2 or even love gun they were scary and real, and had excellent harmonies and songs and even throughout the 80s I loved a bunch of their stuff I just wish they would have ended it after the reunion tour, being 54 years old now I will always remember what kiss was like, and that's really hard to even imagine at this point if you're a younger fan.

I was in first grade in 76 and discoverd my favorite band ever , they really were like cominc book heroes to me . They helped me thtough a lot of tough times . I agree about the shape of the group and the fucking prices of tickets ? I saw the OG Kiss in 2000 for the first time , greatest night of my life

Paul can actually still sing when he's crooning in a lower register, but for some reason he insists on still doing that wrenched throaty screeching and reaching for the high notes. Even Roger Daltrey knows he can't be a nonstop screamer anymore, and has learned to work around it.

Not accurate. The current leg has included: Plaster Caster, Hotter Than Hell, Shock Me, Got To Choose, Christine Sixteen, Goin' Blind, Parasite, and She so far. Love Here All I Can, Let Me Go, Rock 'n' Roll, and C'mon and Love Me have also been included during 2023. I didn't hear anyone complaining about the "soundcheck", and there were lots of smiles, sing-alongs, and picks a flying. I got my HTH album itch scratched.
Are these the same deep cuts they have played for years? Even a sound check they charge $ for is the same thing over and over. Been a fan longer than most, it’s time to call it. Look at that logo and pods. Terrible.
If Paul has long hair why does he have to wear a stupid wig for the show,he would look cool w the hair he has here. And too bad they do the same setlist more or less for years some of these sound check songs should be in the show. But then they wouldn’t be able to charge so much for the soundcheck I guess.
It’s insane to think for 47 years I’ve listened to these songs and I still watch another video.
