thanks for the video. could you please let me know how to enter engineering mode in this version? I see you entered workshop mode.. was wondering how to enter engineering mode..
@AutoMotivBed After performing this procedure on a US GLC 300, the red (P) arking brake indicator is flashing and the brake doesn't engage. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Hi @Devon , in some rare cases this will happen, you will need to connect an OBD scanner to the system, enter ABS/Electronic Park Brake settings and clear the fault code. Should fix your issue. If not, you will need to do procedure again, and pump brake pedal before final step (finalising end position) in the dash
@@AutoMotiv8ed Thanks for the quick response! Entering the settings and leaving them again resolved the issue; no ODB scanner or anything was required.
Do you have a video for the front? The customer might have rathered hearing what the micrometer measurements were and at what point the rotors need to be changed. It’s always suspect when a mechanic says it just needs to be changed. Without objective data, the customer is right.
If you look at your disc there should be no more than a 2mm lip on the outer edge, but that is subjective and varies depending on the mechanic working on your car. You dont need to change them every time, and I only recommend changing them if the customer complains about a pulsing pedal or excessive wear.
I forgot to say thank you for making the video!
My pleasure!
Very good video, professional. Nice detail comments on the install including the camera work which was good and steady unlike many DIY videos.
Thank you for your awesome feedback 🙏🙏
Always great to see someone using a prybar to push the pistons back instead of messing with clamps!
This saved me hundreds of dollars!!!!! Thanks!!!
You're welcome 😊

Does work for the 300 model as well? If so Is it the same procedure for the front?
@Wes Ford this is only for rear brakes
Front usually a simple brake change no need to enter maintenance mode settings

Buenas noches es igual el procedimiento para una gle 350 modelo 2020 no lo e realizado porque no se como se retrae los pistones de ese modelo

Thanks 🙏🏻
You’re welcome 😊

Anyone know if the ignition must remain on for the duration of the brake pad replacement?
