    Hey man, there's not sunburst effect at all on your watch!
    Try to drink less!

  • @Mat-sz9hs
    @Mat-sz9hs 9 месяцев назад +1

    My seiko SRPE is also running slow by approx 15 seconds per day. Is it normal? Is it better if it runs slow or faster?

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  9 месяцев назад +2

      It’s generally thought that running faster is better.
      However I think that is because it means you will be early rather than late because of your watch.
      Minus 15 seconds is within the tolerances for this movement.
      You can adjust it to run a bit better but I personally would not be concerned about that amount of time loss.
      It’s part of owning a mechanical watch.

      @@WATCHingJames I think losing time makes it easier to adjust, but thats just me. Im gonna let my watch as it is if its normal. Than u for your answer!

    What a great every day Seiko. Slightly dressy, slightly casual and sized to fit lot of different people.

    Nicely done review mate, this is a really versatile watch for sure, both sporty and dressy too. I can see why people complained initially but now I think we've accepted they're here to stay.

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  2 года назад +2

      Thanks Wes. It’s a great watch. I know why people were upset. But it is not really a replacement for the SKX. It just looks a bit like it.

    I've had the blue sunburst dial and I absolutely love it. I collect watches and I prefer this to my $700 watch. I changed the strap and it fits my small wrist perfectly.

      It really offers a lot for the price.
      I think putting it on a nice part her strap would be great

      Yeah a great watch that is a do it all watch without the pricetag. Sometimes being able to enjoy something so simple lends itself to appreciating the watch more.

    One of my favourites so simple in design and that gives this watch a elegance. Tried the one watch collection with this piece for about couple months as my other watches sit in my watchbox, to me this is the cornerstone of what seiko is about , it almost looks vintage even though it's a modern design. In fact gonna start downsizing for the grand seiko of my dreams. Grand seiko might no be an omega or rolex or even a Tudor and I like it for not being a clone it choses to be uniquely Japanese and proud while doing it.

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  Год назад +1

      It is a wonderful watch. I am also trying to downsize with the hope of getting a grand Seiko.

    It's been 10 months, has the hardlex accumulated scratches yet? I've been considering to get one for myself..

      I sold it a little while ago but no scratches.
      I’ve had lots of watches with hardlex and never scratched any.

    I really really like grey sunburst Seiko dials.
    I had black day-date on older Seiko 5 (SNK361) and I couldn't read it, changed movement to NH36 with white day-date and it looks better imho.
    Changed dial to grey as well in the same time.
    Nice review - now I have need to buy this one --must resist -- must resist !

      Hahaha I know that feeling. I love this grey dial version. It’s very nice in other colours but the grey is amazing.

    Nicely done! Beautiful watch. The sunburst dial, especially in this grey, is really gorgeous. I agree with you, a better bracelet and would really take this to the next level and make it a perfect everyday watch. With a sapphire crystal as well

      The grey is particularly nice.
      Upgrading the bracelet and crystal would take it to the next level.

    Fantastic in depth review of a really nice looking watch, really like this one, tricky to find here in Canada. Great job on the video as always James!

    This watch is outstanding. On the Long Island “BRAC-10” bracelet, it is excellent. Tried multiple straps and bracelets and this is the combo for my taste. Wear this watch more than any other. Especially when traveling.

    This stainless steel and gray dial version is beautiful and would typically be more my style, but for something different I recently bought the rose gold two-tone SRPE58K1 as my first experience with these dressKX's... and I'm really enjoying it! It's a perfect size and style for my daily dress-casual office watch. Sporty but not too sporty, dressy enough but not too formal. The darker dial of the 58 provides excellent legibility, and the rose gold accents give it a warmer, albeit slightly flashier look, which I'm finding a fun change of pace. A better two-tone replacement bracelet option might be nice, but there's really nothing wrong with the stock Seiko bracelet. Great review, thanks James.
