- Liberty hustler Raptor XD This class of mower is one step above a sealed transmission. I recommend these for people with 1 to 2 acres to mow. You can get nicer, but this is a good start :).

I got this mower specifically to be able to drive it through a 36 inch door ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend or gate It is a little tight with the grass deflector installed but has more clearance with the deflector replaced by the recycler/mulcher. This model appears to be popular and a little harder to find for that reason. I can't judge the dependability as I have only mowed the yard twice but everything else on the mower is very nice and working fine so far. I added options for the run hour timer, arm backrests, recycler/mulcher, towing bracket, deck lift assist and cover.

I wish I could watch them run around a hilly yard. I have on little section that I have to cut side slope. Was scary on a Deere X370.

Scag all the way best residential commercial mower out there mine runs the tuff torq transmission and it’s better than the 2800 FYI YEAR 2022 they put them in there; now they put the cheaper one in

@kgmowers With the Scag Liberty-Z I am looking at the model with the 36" deck for my yard size. Would you recommend the Kawasaki FR600V or the Kohler 7000 Series PRO?

Best mower for bumbs is the Stihl? Anything not shown here here you would say is great for bumpy terrain? Toro with My Ride?
Toro just feels strange riding. Stihl bad boy rogue or renegade. Grasshopper front mount, or Ferris are all amazing rides :).
How are the Stihl mowers doing in the field?
They are holding up well. The little 42 has had some belt issues and the belts are back ordered nationally, but other than that they have been amazing :)
Love the Bad Boy, with the dealer 1mile away but 1999.00 for a bagger was a turn off. Went with the Hustler Raptor XD for 819.00 dealer is 34 miles away. Bagger seems a complete rip off for customers at that price.
Baggers are around $2500 usually. The hustler powered bagger is around the same price. The non powered baggers don’t work very good so bad boy stopped selling them. They used to have one around $700 or so years ago.
What do you think about the tuff torq transmission? I wanted he 48" but The Scag 48 does not have the 2800 hydro gear...it comes with tuff torq

Only the 52" Stihl has the 2800 trans. The 42" version steps down to the sealed 2200. It also loses the suspension.
I didn’t have any then. I was shocked when I pulled it out of the crate, but that made sense with the pricing. I’ve sold every 42 they have sent me it’s a really good value sitting next to the other brands. Not many good 42 options out there. Hustler is the best hear in entry level, even the bad boy mower only comes with a single cylinder engine this year 🙈. The Scag Liberty is waaay better, but also higher price.

Scab liberty I have one can’t go wrong you do not need that baffle system it’s got a great baffle already TRYING TO UPSELL
I’ve got 3/4 of an acre total, all flat besides one very steep hill. What would you recommend in the bad boy line?
I recently got the ZT Elite for my acre, it's small enough to maneuver easily but still big enough to cut a large yard quickly. It has rubber suspension on the front to smooth things out a little. The lower models Avenger and Magnum would be great too, but they just a few less features. Go see them in person, it helps you decide.

I have a smooth 1.4 acres, would it be worth the upgrade from the Raptor XD to the XDX or is the XD plenty ?
Xdx deck is waaay worth the upgrade. Like here I have a 48 with 7 hours for $5799 it would be worth it to grab it over the xd for sure. This isn’t something people have a couple years then trade in, y’all have these for 15 to 30 years.
@@kgmowers a xdx wont last 15-30 years. it has the low end FR series kawi and 3100 hydros. Your looking at 1000 hours with that setup. With that advice, a Scag cheetah will last 100 years.
Cool some more toys! Looks like that stihl has a reservoir which is nice, I'm not sure about the layout underneath or the control arms, I knit pick everything lol. I need to see one in person before I can pass judgment. Wish we had some grass, after all the ice, I still have 2 acres of trees down and can't find a chipper for about a month. I haven't even mowed with the fastrak SDX, it's sitting in the garage waiting patiently. I'll trade it for a good wood chipper, because at this rate I'll never have grass to cut lol.

Stihl, Skag, Hustler & BadBoy, became a Texas 'JackRabbit Jumping'...Had 2 stop 🛑 watching👀 yur video due to severa issues: microphone intermittently cutting out; your rush, hurried (gotta go pick up kids) style of this video=annoying!
In past videos u r calm, you have $$pricing/payments written on a tag, taped to each machine (seat or elsewhere) for viewer 'digestion' 🤔 pause button 🔳 , make 📒 notes etc. 2day your 'hurry up' & sound interruptions were just too distracting to keep focus/interest...so 'click' = discontinue...So kindly take more time to prepare & outline your script, show us the 'bullet points' (another tag/card/note 🗒, 📃 list) of key points of each machine in camera shot. Then in calm, non-rushed manner, allow us to enjoy the >sincerity (Christian background) comming thru your presentation

Bad boy dealers say the 2800 is not serviceable. The 3100 is serviceable which is the next step up
@@shanedavis6779 2800 is serviceable. It uses the same filters as the 3100s 3200s and 3400s 🙈😂. Look up a pic of a 2800 there is a filter hanging out the side.

You have no clue the timing the devil is throwing some tantrums these last 2 weeks with our church, relationships, employees, trucks breaking down, insurance canceling and can’t find any coverage because they canceled, tax issues, heater intermently going out so it’s hard to figure out what’s wrong with it at the house, man it’s been a storm down here. I’m trying to leave for pakistan and he is doing everything possible to stop it.

Having a tough time between scag liberty z and raptor xdx. What do you recommend for a residential 1 acre lot?
Scag Liberty would be awesome with the hoover baffles added, but the xdx would be my huckleberry with the extra $300 to make the kawasaki engine and mower have a full 5 year parts and labor warranty. I’m a huge xdx deck fan, drives are smoother, love the upgraded tires and the seat is better.

Not a 2800 model but whats the opinion of the grasshopper 41 with the 1k hr oil change parker hydros? Looks like the most commercial 42 out there.
It is amazing and a really good cutting mower :). The 42” bad boy maverick HD is also a good contender.
If you could swing it, you would be above 12k, but the 623 grasshopper with the 42” is the heaviest duty I’ve seen so far.

@@jupitercyclops6521 with the walk behind it doesn’t require as much use at all. The go forever on those I’ve never seen one go out on a walk honestly. I will be honest our area most have big yards. In 15 years I’ve prolly only sold 4 or 5 hydro walks. I’m prolly not the best on advice on those at all…. I’ve never seen a Scag one in person.

Edit: I bought a raptor xd and it is great. Just set it to 2 inch cut and it's very clean and plenty fast. My yard is really bumpy so I keep it 3/4 throttle so I don't bounce myself out of the seat Iol

@@kgmowers I mow about 1-4 acres per week. I'm worried about getting one without the serviceable transmission. How often do you have to replace the sealed transmissions on the lower models and are they expensive?
@@crawdadwatson this is Jamie smith with K&G Mowers …a sealed transmission will cost you somewhere around 500 to 1000 and I have seen them go out at about 6 years to 15 years…
