Man, I'm so glad I came across your channel. I enjoy your take on small engine repair, so informative with out the fluff. I also like that you include part numbers in some of your videos. Thanks
I must say that you probably have one of the best fix it yourself type of videos out here. You show exactly what to do. I’m now a subscriber because of how you make your videos. Thank you!!!
Hey T Bone what about just replacing the bearings in each spindle, I replaced all 6 in my Gravelly because spindles was $200 each , cost a $120 to replace all 6 bearing instead of $600 for 3 new spindles.
Working on my first zero turn and the first of the three blade bolts was really tough. I don’t have impact tools yet so I have to rely on breaker bar and extension and heat. I ended up having to heat the shaft on this one to 300 degrees and add a floor jack handle to my half inch breaker bar for a total of 5 feet of torque arm, but it finally yielded! Luckily the other two came off with no heat and much less effort. Phew!
I’m not very lucky I had to heat all three of them but I put plenty of antizee on them 😮 Thanks was fun watching you trying to get up, now I know what I look like 😂😂😂
I've had good luck using the torch and some penetrate oil, kroil or something similar, let the heat open the joint and the oil to lubricate it. I love the smell of the kroil

Hey T-bone from Wilmington NC.
Why would you take out a hot bolt by hand, use a socket and ratchet or wrench.
Screaming mower deck 😲😲
Aerokroil is very effective but I can't stand the way it smells for some reason. Good video, sir.

is there a way to look up the spindle replacement bearing without taking it

Hey T-Bone, i bet using a socket on that hot bolt wouldn't be as hot!🤔
❤❤❤
T-Bone just curious, do you order the pulleys as a set or do you look up the order number and order them individually?
Most parts come individually with the exception of gaskets and carburetor kits. Thanks for the question!
Hey T-bone How long does it take to examine a hot horseshoe 🧲
🤣 🤣
Use a socket to unscrew the hot bolt
Call Terrell😅 he has your dinner
I'm surprised you didn't pull the deck out as you've done in the past. Is this one more complicated?
Great question. I didn't on this one because I could access everything without much trouble, and yes to save time.
It’s nice to have a removable floor plate
Is it possible to replace the bearings in those spindles?
Yes, there's videos on YT on how to do it..
Wonder if anyone has made a platform to put under the deck to make it easy to move it. 😮
That was a rough one. The mower was too well made!
👍
Seems the center spindle is AllWAYS bad 😢plus others
Would be a lot easier and faster to just remove deck
Why not just replace the bearings? I replace mine every 5 years and my 25 year old Yazoo just keeps on cuttin...
