He's a great teacher guys very simple and humble...u will not be able to see any difference unless u hear him clearly and follow his advice....don't just hurry to finish.....every single piece of advice he shared comes from experience.....I tried this same painting many times and the end result was not even close but I continued and the more I practiced and listened to him with my ears wide open....I could see some difference.....even now I'm not 100% happy with the end result but it has gotten better than before ....every attempt makes y better so don't give up and prolong ur dream of becoming a watercolorist.....now i understand why most of us give up...because we want to create good paintings as early as possible and with each failure we stop giving it a try.....but trust me once u see difference u start enjoying the process and den painting everyday doesn't seem challenging....it just happens because now u have learned it .....don't give up ...keep trying and listen to him actively....don't just listen for the heck of it ....listen and then practice u will see the difference in your work....I've posted the pictures of this painting which is quite satisfactory....and I've achieved this only in 2 days just listening to him carefully and following his advice......I can see the difference.....Id is sacredmoonlight_33
Nitin sir, I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for this video! Breaking steps down so simply also requires a lot of knowledge... thank you so much for helping me understand the process so easily! This video led me to have a creative breakthrough 🙏
Nobody teaches you with this humbleness....he's a great guy and kind....compassionate.....knows exactly beginner's problems ....keep up the good work sir 🙏🏻
Thank you for your help. You are one of the kind artists who take time to explain and pass on information to help beginners to understand the process as well as see your processes. Your paintings are so rich in colour and detail and yet remain exciting in their looseness. Thank you
Thank you so much! I am a beginner at watercolours - and my biggest problem is I become unaware of being a perfectionist til I am halfway. So, my paintings turn out really overworked - overpainted. But your words of advice and techniques helped me remind myself to just let loose and yes, enjoy the process! I really like how this is very simple but beautifully executed! Thanks again.
i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Dax Benton thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial especially as I am a beginner in using this medium. I have learned much just from this one lesson. I've watched a few watercolorists on RUclips and it is obvious that you are truly familiar with watercolor. I look forward to more of you lessons.
I really appreciate your instructional videos. It's great of you to take the time to show us artists how to practice and become better at what we do. Thank you
Thank you very much for the time and effort you are putting into your videos. It's highly appreciated!!I used to do watercoloring a lot when I was younger. Now I restart after 20 years and I am surprised how my help is offered on youtube. Thanks for your tutorial.
Yours is the best watercolor tutorial I have seen on RUclips. The process and steps are streamlined and clear for easy grasp of knowledge. It is precise, well presented and excellently delivered. Your teaching method is very organized and effective. Thank you.
Super helpful Nitin! I love the way you approach layers / glazing in watercolor. I noticed this in many of your other videos too (: Thank you for sharing! - Liron
Thank you Mr. Nitin for this great tutorial and all the kind words of encouragement. I like to watch you paint your masterpieces also, but for me, this kind of projects (not to big and focused on a specific problem) are most useful and educational. Best wishes.
Thank you Mr Anton, the most important part is it's fundamental and some basics. Sketching is one of the most ignored area i see in most watercolor learner. I hope i can help with highlighting those area.
I just want to say that I don't just give my notification bells on channels that I like but you just made me do it. You are great in teaching the medium for beginners like me. And lastly, I just want to encourage you making more of these videos.👌👌
Thank you for an excellent tutorial for beginners...and slightly more experienced people. I also appreciated your encouraging comments at the end, advising that we enjoy the painting and not to worry...your soothing voice was a very helpful message to take with us to our practice. I look forward to more videos to watch.
Nitin Singh i indeed needed this one. There are many vids out there but nothing is a complete tutorial. Nobody talks about detailing in basics. Thank you 🙏🙏
These videos are so helpful! Very glad I've found you and that you post so regularly. I especially appreciate the advice to keep it fun. My watercolor has improved from these videos. Looking forward to watching many more! 😃
Thank you Very Very much for this Fabulous demo Nitinji... Stumbling on your channel is like finding a Treasure for me... Thank you again for sharing your knowledge! May God bless your generous soul!!
Well done Nitin. Really appreciate the lesson in layer hierarchy. That was extremely helpful, and I will continue to study your future post. Thank you and kind regards...
Absolutely amazing explanation with so minute and crucial details.. Never came across such a wonderful and inspiring tutorial.. Thanks a lot Nitin sir :)
Thank you Nitin for providing me with greater understanding of the process of watercolour. I'm learning so much from your demonstrations and instruction.
Your tips and techniques are by far the best Ive seen for watercolor. Thank you so much Nitin! Would it be possible to add CC to all your videos? Ive seen some have it and some dont. I have significant hearing loss and it is a struggle for me to understand speech. Thanks Again.!
Big thank you, Nitin! Best tutorial! Small please write under the video what colors you used. I realized that there is a Cobalt, Siena, maybe the Umbra.
Thanks for the video! Many of the wet in wet things you do in the second layer (specifically dark parts, door etc) you probably wouldnt have time to do in a more complicated painting as it would dry - would you then do these things in the third layer, or would you try to keep the second layer wet? I'm asking because how I see it it makes a difference whether these darks become a seperate layer or if they mix with the paint in the second layer. Sorry if I sound pedantic.
Great observation mr. Jan, i agree with you when you make more complex painting, some time there might be less opportunity to make detailing in second layer since it get dry. I would recommend couple of technique 1. Apply slight color impression in wet in wet and then finish it in third layer with little work. 2. Be little quick and whenever require use water spray on second layer to keep color alive to work further. Hope this is helpful :)
So so nice!!! Although I couldn´t get all you said I got the main idea: layeres...details at the last...and..I wish I had your hand to move the brush in such a precise way. Well...now I will try to do what I can, with other brush, other paints...keeping in mind just layers and shadows. Can you enable the videos to use translation? That will help me to understand better. Greets from Argentina!
Dear Nitin, thank you for sharing your layering techniques! I came across these only recently.I find that you do not wet your paper prior to applying watercolour. Any special reason for this? Kindly advise .Warmest regards!
Thank you very much for the video. It might sound odd, I find that you can use your brush as round one as also flat one. All my brushes are either round or flat. How can I get a brush like yours.
Sorry.. newbie here. What paper are you using? It almost seems like you're using the back of a practice sheet? (sorry im really new just basing from observing). at 5:15 you start painting and the water just seems to granulate and bead on the paper giving texture. Like the paper is rejecting the water more than just letting it stay pooled. I'd like to be able to do the similar effect.
How many of u have tried it 100s of times and could never paint even close to him...it happens.....he made it look simple but it is not...it takes tremendous amount of practice 😀

Thanks Susan for your kind words, thank you.
Thank you so much for this. If I was born 50 years ago I'd probably need to spend a whole year just to figure this out. This is new to me.
:)
Very beautifully explained and demonstrated. 👌👌👌

great video, Nitin! I learned a lot! Keep them coming.
Would be great to have a video on the materials you use, such as, what types/colors or watercolors, brushes, palette, etc.
Glad to know that Mr. Farrick.
I take your suggestion. Let me see how could i do this :)
I'd be very happy if I could do that.. going to give it a try.. thx!
This is great demo
That was of great help.
With deep gratitude I thank you for the same.
Thank you.
So this is what I got down,
Sketching,
Block coloring,
Layering,
Detailing.
Yep, exactly, just practice each step separate for some time, you'll get the hang of it.
It's very nice. Tq
thank you for share this video 👏
My pleasure Amna.
Thank you Nitin. This example has helped a lot. Is that a sable brush you use?
Thank you so much for your help.
Love it!
Thank you Nitinji, for a clear explanation and demonstration. It was most helpful. Which paper do you use?
My wife hasn't a hair dryer, so... New wife...
BTW, I've seen hundreds of tutorials for beginners on video. Undoubtedly, these are the best, indeed.
buying new hair dryer is much easier :)
In fact, without my wife I'm less than a half, and together we are much more than two. So, I can do well without a hair dryer :)
Loved your reply, my best wishes for your next painting.
Thank you. Best wishes too.

Thank you very much for the video. It might sound odd, I find that you can use your brush as round one as also flat one. All my brushes are either round or flat. How can I get a brush like yours.
This brush has long thin hairs which gives me ability to use either ways.
