I bet the workers are paid minimum wage and couldn’t afford to buy their food there.
That's true for every business.
My local walmart once had a food drive FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES. So, they could eat on Thanksgiving.
Exactly
And people who build yachts can't afford to own one themselves.
This is true of many restaurants lol but agreed, the service required is far above what a Walmart employee would do. But let me tell you, unless you’re making money you are content with in customer service, you are not likely to provide the service I’m sure a store like this would require of their employees. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they were actually paid well. I mean, Trader Joe’s employees don’t even make minimum wage these days.
Losers who don't want to play the game at a high level complain. Winners continually advance and make moves. Want to afford being able to blow money? Make yourself into a person who can run a business for yourself. Increase your value to employers. Or stay on your knees and beg for a $1/hr raise for bagging groceries. Your call.
My Indian Middle class mom has taught me: "if you can't find the price tag, LEAVE IT"
I was taught to do a price check. Target and walmart have scanners everywhere but I guess stores like these don't have them. Anyway I don't check the price on my food items since I go grocery shopping to health food stores and I know what I'm getting myself into. Not every average grocery store has a large special vegan section. Not to mention sprouts has one of the largest plant milk sections ever with a tiny 4 ft wide section of animal based dairy. Includes milk, butter, yogurt, eggs and other. I don't really go to whole foods cause they are a bit pricier than sprouts but I do on special occasions. They have an insane variety of products and they label 365 probucts for you plus the people are nice and I feel at home in there. Wholefoods over all is nicer than sprouts too, I guess it comes at a price. That valet parking is not free at all.
@@3arthandsky i guess we *don't* have target or wallmart in India so we just ask the price or forget it
Or tell cashier to “price check” first…or have them subtract item after scanning.

@@muttipiDo you see the profits where you work?
@kevinbl4836 no, my point is that the people doing the labor don't get the profits they generate.

She got robbed ! 🤣 including if money was no issue I still wouldn’t in my life pay 40 dollars for strawberries!
Unless it was for 20 pints of strawberries. Lol
And I thought Whole Foods was expensive 💀
You can get prime discounts at whole foods it’s not bad at all
When she says she struggles on 90K a year I now know the reason why
Its more than 90k. Don't let her fool you.
Also, she hasn't struggled since she was a child in mother Russia.
No way she said that bruh
Exactly!!!! She is from Russia.. lives in Silicon Valley.. 1. EVERYONE knows in the Bay Area the city she lives in is for people with money (if you know then you know) 2. She is foreign our government gives foreigns more than they give Americans.. She definitely didn't come here empty handed.
My lower class family of 3 adults make less than $29,000 a year COMBINED. This is unbelievably wasteful.
This video took years off my lifespan
You know it’s expensive when they call it ✨ An eXpeRieNCe ✨
“and fashionable”

You may want to do a second edit for your spelling mistake

"Here are some shots of my Cadillac Escalade so you know I have money. It's getting valet parked at the most expensive grocery store I could find.
Wow, look at all the perfect, fashionable, fit people in here that I fit in with because I'm also better than most people. Only the most perfect people shop here.
Check out the expensive groceries I'm overpaying for on purpose to show you what a nice life I have because I have money.
Here's another shot of my Escalade just so you don't forget that I have lots of money to spend among perfect, fit people in a store that's overpriced by design just to cater to people who want to feel important"
Are people really this desperate for attention and approval?
I really wish rich people would stop trying to appeal to people through the internet, I wish they'd learn we ain't the same
Yes, yes they are...
Love your comment 😊
Nice. This is exactly what I get from her videos as well.
@@markbrowning4334 Yeah, they just have that "I'm perfect so I'm showing off my perfect life because I need attention and validation" feel to them.
I love how happy she is about it. I guess she has really enough money.
I always feel she's snobbish about her money. Her videos come across as bragging than sharing experiences
Russian New Money, no class
@@happilysmpl you just mad.
Wow this is oozing “my daddy is a lawyer” energy.
You are correct

bro no it’s not 😐
@@meow7629 no bro it is
@@meow7629 You are one of them.
Slap an “organic” and “fair trade” label on a product and you can up the price ten fold
$20 for that small pack of strawberries is unforgivable . You can get a bunch fresh picked for half the price
I got a pound of strawberries for $1 a couple of weeks ago.
I went to a German grocery store in CA and saw 6$ for a bottle of water.
When I see stuff like this, I get this horrible feeling in my stomach that I'm one of only a handful of people who actually sees what is wrong with this whole situation.
At this point shopping at this store is just for a flex lol.
You're definitely not alone
That's not true, you're part of the majority, but even if you were part of the handful of people who saw that as a wrong thing, it'd be a good thing since you'd be unique yet right at the same time, that's called an advantage in business
What exactly is wrong with this? It’s just an ultra expensive grocery store for the 1%
Indeed, I'm saddened by this realization and its isolating reality.
Whenever I see something without a price tag I literally get scared and put it back
How can you just grab two packs 😭😭
It's called being a spoiled bi%^h
She probably figured it’s just strawberries, how much can they be, right? 😂🤦♀️
Me too 😂
@@kimwarner1681 she scans them at checkout , sees the price but decides to buy them anyways, just so she can flex she bought 2 20 dollar pack of strawberries
@@kimwarner1681 uhh I find strawberries quite expensive. I hate how expensive fruit is in America
This is the first time that I actually appreciated the “don’t recommend this channel” option.

yall get offended over nothing it’s embarrassing

I’ll never understand why millennials (and younger generations) believe grossly overpaying for something is a “flex”.
Millennial here. We don't do that.
Yeah, same. I'm the cheapest mf you'll ever find.
My local produce store was recently selling the best strawberries I've ever smelled or tasted and they were going for a dollar fifty a box or a flat for $8 which made it a dollar a box then. I froze for smoothies, made three jars of homemade preserves and my husband got freshly-cut ones for his lunch. Supporting stores like this will only hurt Humanity in the long run.
Thank you shop local guys!
Where i live they sell the best strawberries i know and they don't really do stuff to them they are juicy and really sweet
It's alsovisible since they have different sizes forms and should be eaten quickly
sometimes they are as large as my palm (my palm isn't that large hut still large for strawberry standards)
@@Nonybusinessxxxxxx organic farming is bad for the environment.
If you shop there you need a T-shirt that says “sucker”.
It’s worth it to the rich. For them it’s a small price to pay to avoid us common folk.🫤
