71 years old here.....3 albums that really kicked me in the bollox!! were.....'deep purple in rock'......'Argus''.....and 'Van Halen 1'
3 absolute classics!! These 3 will take some topping.

OMG Ive loved WA music for 50 years. Oh how I wish I'd been in the club for this show. It's so great to hear Argus played so near to perfection. Keep rocking Martin and the band, we need your greatness. Thank you.❤

Mmmmm. Read the comments here. Seen both bands. Both good. These guys are note perfect. They live the music, they don't just play the music. The fact Martin is the main writer of the songs, the original vocalist and a very distinctive bass player is a big factor in the live experience.

As a WA fan since 1970 or thereabouts, I agree entirely. I have no axe to grind in the "great dispute", although I think it was a great shame, and have also seen both bands,. AP is a great technical guitarist but with a limited personality and his band have no real soul _ they seem to be going through the motions when they are playing. Martin's band has more energy, and more feel of the original band and I have always felt, like you say, that his unique bass playing is the cornerstone around which WA became successful, even thought they are known for the harmony guitars first and foremost. Given the choice I would watch Martin's band every time 🤠🤠.

Outstanding work by all the members. Martin still sounds great and the lead guitar work sounds so close to the original that its really amazing!! The harmonies are also spot on. For me it checks all the boxes ~ excellent job.

So, my name really is Andy Powell. I heard Pilgrimage when I was 12, then the iconic Argus. I still have the first four albums in vinyl. Since then, I've listened to the two halves of WA and for sheer accuracy and enjoyment, you guys win hands down. Terrific. Wish I'd been there.

From a guy in a Cornfield in the US.....I've been a fan since Jr High School. I still enjoy WA tunes and Martin as much as when I was a kid. Band does a nice job on the music. It's pretty amazing these songs have held up so well over the decades. I do credit the whole band, every member was very important. I do however personally prefer Martins vocals. I listen to WA when I mow my several acres every week. Makes the time fly and puts a smile on my face, Thanks for the music.

The first W.B.A. album I ever heard ‘Argus’s. My elder brother had a huge collection of albums, vinyl as it was in those days. I used to play his stuff when he was out, put Argus on, and I was hooked. I borrowed that album so much, my brother let me keep it. I do agree with many of the comments, over the years I have seen both bands live. Yes, the contractual problems are what they are, but these things happen. Andy Powell (credit where it is due) is an extremely talented guitarist, and I would agree with a comment I saw elsewhere, he does appear to have a limited personality. Martin Turners ex Wishbone Ash does it for me, met these guys on several occasions and they have great personalities. The gigs they perform these days are a far cry from there early years, now they are much smaller and intimate gigs, but I personally prefer it. Looking forward to their next gig, which is local to us. As Martin says, all the time people want to come and hear us play, we shall continue to come out and play. Long will they continue to play.

Interesting comments here for and against Powell and Turner's versions of W. Ash. I've seen Powell's W.A. twice over the years, admittedly about 15 years ago when I thought he had it spot on. Why do some people think he's not so good now, especially as he knows all the guitar work/tones inside out and was, I thought then, a decent higher harmony singer?

In fact Nazareth was still playing without one original member, seriously how can they be called Nazareth.

I like both bands but would give it to Andy for the more solid sound nowadays...neither are as good as the original ..Steve on drums was a massive part of the original sound that can't be replicated...this drummer just plays a straight 4\4 beat ...Steve is amazing

Andy Powell WAS NOT THERE when Wishbone Ash were originally formed !!
In other words, he can never be a true "original member" = BUT MARTIN TURNER WAS !!!!!!!!
Compounded by yet another plain simple fact - Martin WAS the lead-vocalist on "ARGUS"
Yeah, of course I know that Powell was 'there by then, at that time' but he's still the Johnny Cum Lately
And Powell's vocals are $hit by comparison - Fine guitar player, but Powell's vocals are weak & anaemic at best
