Thank you soo much. I have a 2013 that Fiat here in NZ my issue of not selecting neutral when I stop. I asked for Fiat here for a accelerator unit cost over $700 NZ or almost 350 pound. I found one at a wreckers for equiv 100 pound from a 65000km car. Worked perfectly!!!! Thanks again. great work.
Hi , I believe so yes, as there was someone else who had the reverse issue and they changed the pedal and it fixed it for them, it’s definitely worth trying this 👍🏽
Hi. I have a Lancia Musa 2006 1.3 diesel automatic. Sometimes gives me an error gearbox failed for 2 sec and then disappear. This message always comes when is 2d gear. It pops up for 3-4 sec and then disappear. Car change gears normal. Only when message pops up won't go from 2nd to 3nd. Only for this 2 sec. The obd error is P1742. After some days watching the problem i see that message pops up when car is in 2nd gear and wont go to 3d until message disappear. Then it works fine. Same when car is in 2nd and going to 1st. Can you help please. Thanks in
@@Stevie_G8 for sure saved me some time. And if you think about the behavior that kinda' makes sense. The car "sees" that the acceleration pedal is not in idle position (which prevents gearbox from going to N) Also the engine rpm is not high enough to be noticed. In my case I had to press and release quickly the throttle pedal few times. Issue is gone now. Maybe some dust or dirt got inside the mechanical part. If this issue comes back, then I'll probably buy a new pedal. Cheers!
I have a 2012 cluster is showing 1 , with visit dealership message and won’t move to anything else , stick moves but nothing changes , and car won’t start , any suggestion?
Without seeing what your shifter or looking at the issue it seems like I think more the plastic grommet from the top of the gearbox that joins to the cable has broken or come off, it’s another common fault,

Hi Eliz, Thanks for your comment, It sounds like you just had a little computer glitch, the dualogic usually puts itself back into neutral when starting, sounds like this didn’t happen for you so it wouldn’t start but when put back there manually it lined everything back up again which is fantastic news :)

Bad automatic transmission, is a cheap system, not to trust
I’m not saying it’s a good or bad transmission but this is a way of fixing it if you have one
Actually it is a "robot" hydro/electric shifting system leased from Ford.
And it is mounted on top of the standard Fiat gearbox.
