Thanks for this insight. I had recurrent IE issue with the drum getting overfilled and dripping out of the door. I also had good water pressure into the LG front loader washing machine. Tried everything, even adjusting the pressure switch to limit water intake, no show. Until I removed the front panel and have a closer look at the black air hose connecting the pressure switch, noticed a massive wear and air leakage owing to repeated friction on the drum body. I replaced the hose with exact same length and voila…no more overfilling of the drum, leaks or IE error. Machine washing perfectly now!!!
I'm really pleased the video was helpful to you. Could you do me a favour and take part in a poll I've made about the lifespan of appliances? You just need to tick one of two boxes. It will only take about 10 seconds. This might help us improve how machines are made in the future😇 Here's the poll question: www.youtube.com/@How-to-repair/community Also sharing will get more people to participate and we will have a greater impact with the manufacturers thank you for helping.
How you do that coz mine machine is showing such problem I don't know what to do water goes into the drum but after few seconds it's stop and shoe IE error
Thank you . I saw what you wrote, and did the same thing. The air pipe was stuck. I just put air inside and it opened. Now working perfectly. Thanks its from your writing.
My IE error was caused by the pressure sensor pipe becoming detached from the pressure sensor. A quick two minute fix, removing the top cover and re-attaching the pipe, which is push fit. Thanks for the video.

Hi. I have the IE error for a while now on my Wash/Dry LG machine. When setting the machine to Cotton setting, it completes the cycle without any hitch but if I use the other settings even the TLC, it always results to an IE error. What I've noticed is that the tub is being filled up by water perfectly fine but then after about a minute, water drains while the water is filling the tub then it results to an IE error. What could be causing this?
Thanks for sharing. Let me quickly explain the IE error code. This error appears when the machine can't fill up with water in the given time. It could be due to a poor water supply reaching the water valves. Check that the tap and fill hose have water flowing all the way to the valve. You can test this by putting the hose into a bucket and opening the tap to ensure there's enough pressure. Next, you should inspect the filter at the back of the water valve. Sometimes, debris can clog it and restrict water flow into the machine. If everything looks good, the problem might be with the water valves or something else. There could also be an issue with power reaching the water valves. Inspect the wiring from the PCB around the top of the cabinet to the valves. Ensure none of the wires are damaged or worn out. You can do a continuity test at each end of the wire to double-check. Another possible issue is that the pressure switch isn't giving correct information to the PCB, so it doesn't turn on the water valves. I don't have schematics for this machine right now so I can't say anything definite!
Hi there - I have this error and am stumped as to what to do next, can you please help? I have checked the water hose and cleaned the filter at the back. This filter was pretty gritty so I thought that would fix it, but after 2 minutes of a 30 minute cycle, the error code comes back... I don't have the volt meter to check anything else. Any advice on what to do next, or is it time to call a local repairer? Thank you in advance
Is there something behind that small filter that can get clogged up? On hot water comes out at a good rate but when I set it to cold only it barely sprinkles. I can feel the water pressure on the hose attached to the cold tap so water is coming fine thru it (Replaced taps with new ones), cleaned filter, no luck. So i'm guessing there may be something beneath the filter that clogs? Cheers

My LG washer has IE error on screen. I already replaced the new water valve but IE error still appear. I can see water are filling inside the washer’s drum. Is there any suggestion what I need to do? Is anything related to pressure chamber? Maybe the sensor not working?
If the pressure sensor is not sending a reading to the printed circuit board, it might be possible that this erorr is occurring. I would run the diagnostic test and have a look if anything is out of place. Make sure you test both of the water valves
I found my dispenser clogged with minerals. Removed it and the top comes off. I cleaned all the holes with pipe cleaner and vinegar including the tubes the hoses connect to.
