    Not understanding the negative comments. Who are these perfect beings who never make mistakes and are always spot on? Way to be encouraging and uplifting. In the words of the great Tim Holtz ( and Mario ) - if you don’t have something nice to say - FIND something nice to say! You go girl!

      @@sandypeppers6861 that’s right it’s called constructive criticism. It wasn’t said angrily. You cannot learn a new project hen half of the camera is off of the table number one, number two it has to be interesting enough to keep peoples attention, so if those two things are corrected, maybe it’ll be something easier to look at and learn from. that’s all.

    How creative. What a great found item that you found a great use. I has an old metal art palm that had faded. I asked my neighbor who is for creative what type of paint to use to bring it back to life. She said no paint...use alcohol ink . It worked beautifully. I liked how I was able to blend and shade with the ink. Can't wait to try this technique
    thx for sharing

      That was great advise from your neighbor. Alcohol ink is one of those things I don't always think of but always turns out beautifully when I use it. Have fun and your welcome.🙂

    Nice!! I had done this exact same embossing using that tape from Home Depot about 5 yrs ago. Technique was taught by Heather Tracy (thicketworks studio on YT) . Cheaper than the sticky foil Ranger used to sell and they no longer sell that either…
    Do intricate dies cut that material well? Die cutting is always a challenge on my cuttkebug especially on such tape adhered to cardboard

    • @colleenhinton
      @colleenhinton  2 месяца назад +2

      Thank you for letting me know about Heather Tracy, I will definitely be checking her channel out. And yes it works very well with intricate dies, perhaps not making the cardboard to thick. But found I had no problem with it.😊

    I have a question. I am new to your channel first video I am seeing and I love it. Okay my question is I do not have the ink refills or ink pads but I have markers that are alcohol base with they work to do this ? thank you. I can't wait to watch more from you.

    • @colleenhinton
      @colleenhinton  Месяц назад

      yes I think so, you may have an end look of a much more saturated look for the colors, because the markers I think naturally will be a bit stronger in color which would make your resolute a deeper, richer color if that makes sense. Using them on the tape I think would work just fine. Thank you for your comment and welcome!

    I think having a plan ... staying in frame, gathering information before recording, taking notes etc for your recording may be helpful ... this is not to be mean ... but as someone else mentioned here ... try to be helpful. No one wants to sit and have to go back to their computer, phone or laptop to FF your video when you're stumbling or making decisions or out of frame ... I wanted to love it and want to subscribe ... but ... I think the above would be helpful for your future.
