I think the yellow walls were supposed to be Tudor style architecture from about 1500s in England. I like the touch of color in the set. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your review of this fantastic Castle. Niels Milan Peterson designed so many great sets! Including a few of my all-time favourites: 5988 Pharao's Forbidden Ruins, 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner and others
Agree… somewhere in the mid 1990s sets seemed to a bit less esthetic in the castle / pirate theme. I have the 5988 and didn’t know he designed it. Thanks for sharing
@@vintagebricksI am class 1986, even when I was a kid (1991-1997) I noticed I preferred the earlier (1984-1992) styled sets than the later pirates/castle/space sets. Whats 1993-1995 pirates set were you thinking about as less beautiful?
@@vintagebricks Yes I do have this set. In my opinion it is one of the most underrated castle sets. I am looking forward to your reviews of the dragon knight sets.
I think black falcons were allies with black knights to fight lion knights. Now, I think they become allies with lion knights and waiting for new black knight wave!
Excellent video. Late-80's and early-90's gave us many great LEGO sets. Personally, I'm a big fan of NINJAGO, and see it as the continuation of the classic castle-pirate themes.
Glad you have white knight! For an idea of value try Bricklink.com or eBay. Cas167 is minifigure part number. I think it is the rare white plums that give this the resale value
I guess some refer to the 1980 and early 90s sets as the Golden Era of Lego. There is a certain nostalgia to these sets with the boxes from this time era so classic too.
@@vintagebricksI agree with them since I was a kid. The pinnacle of Lego was around 1984-1994 year more, year less. The most elegant design and colours, the perfect balance between too much too few.
Congratulations Very accurate review!
I just bought this castle... with its perfect box!
Congratulations!!! Finding a perfect box almost impossible. !!! It a great set as you know
Can you please tell more about that 1:38 yellow wall panel means/suppose/represent in this castle

Great review! I can tell, you are having a ton of fun with this amazing set.
Thanks! Hope you have this set as they have a special place in my heart. Bought these for kids years ago
@@vintagebricks You are welcome!

Thanks so much!!!!
Great review. My all time favorite castle set 👍👍👍
Ya agree… by 1992 LEGO got it all right in this one set!
@@vintagebricks totally agree 🤪🤪

Black knights for ever ❤
This set seemed like the high note for the “raised baseplate era! “
Great thanks for sharing!!!
For a raised plate set these were right up there with the elderado fortress in pizazz
There is a black falcon set called,”black knights treasure” with a black falcon moving a cart of stolen gold.
I don’t have that nice little set but looks like a treasure was heading to the castle for safe keeping- set 6011 I think
One of the best Lego sets ever.
Agree… I think pinnacle of LEGO castles!
This particular raised baseplate was also used in the Fire Breathing Fortress (6082) set.
Do you have that set? I have lots of fond memories of the dragon night sets! I plan to review all those sets soon! All the best Jim

yes but with a black on dark grey, same design but different color shade
I think black falcons were allies with black knights to fight lion knights. Now, I think they become allies with lion knights and waiting for new black knight wave!
Lol… great analysis!

There are so many great ninjago sets and since you can buy them new don’t pay the mark up price on old sets! Thanks for commenting …. Jim
Hey, great video! How much can I sell the white knight for?

This is shame Lego do not do set s like this for a long time now

Black knight of this castle is that with yellow plumes and not with white plumes.

@@vintagebricks Yes i know that. I just want you to correct by mistake you made 🙂 Greetings from Lithuania 💛💚❤️
