I haven't painted in over 6 months mostly due to job searching and perfectionism. But now that I have found a stable job that I actually like, seamstress for a local business, I'm rescheduling my free-time in order to start painting again. Aiming for 12 to 15 hours a week, mostly during weekends. I know it's going to be difficult at first but also worth it in the long run. This video is the extra push I needed to get things started again.
The intro was amazing 😍 it was so cool to see you make those tiny decisions in the details that make the whole painting what it is. Like the shading of the four leaf clover 🤯
What your friends think of the art is an OPINION. I like it as is. You are the final say, the intuition of the piece rests with you. Please don't give your artistic voice away to opinions.
Personally I think the use of complementary colors is enough to tie the clovers and the figures together! But I am also a sucker for when complimentary colors are used. My opinion is I don’t think you need to add green into the figures. I think it’s a good idea to sit with the piece for a bit before doing anything else
The need for perfection too can totally hinder our progress on a piece! There’s gunna be times where it seems off or ugly and that’s totally normal. I still struggle with that, but I’ve given myself permission to doodle now without means to finish it or make money from it. There’s too much pressure and social media doesn’t help because others will make their sketchbooks look so perfect. Then there’s me who just makes a mess and defines it more as I work on it. 😂
I agree that the red of the figures is fighting with the green of the center. working with red and green is hard. I think you need a third color like blue or peach in small amounts. Also, maybe just glaze the corners not to be so bright, just a little at a time a layer at a time until you get it right. you could also test on a study so you are more confident when you attack the main canvas.Cheers. I like that you are trying something different! ❤ Keep going!
I’m at a real strugglebus stage with one of my first commissions (for a family member)so it’s a helpful reminder to be kind and patient with the progress I’m making. I wish I had close artist friends to noodle ideas with too 😅
I like it as it is 🙂🌺 You could add a soft ambiant Green glow to small areas of the characters, if you still wanted some green to allow the viewer to focus more on the clovers 🍀
I seriously love that you did a red wash as the background!!! I’m obsessed and super inspired ❤️ thanks for sharing the personal big canvas painting journey 🙏🏻
I think art is more about what you find beautiful, what others think, and how you feel about your art, this painting is, without a doubt, wonderful!!🎀✨
I love how it turned out!! It’s fun to see the progress and hear your thoughts on how it all came together! It almost feels like this canvas was waiting for you to capture this special moment ☺️🍀❤
Its been a big honor to see you grow as an artist. Your art, your vision, the way you see the world and document it, is beautiful. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
It looks so gooddddd!! I actually love The contrast of the green and red. I think bringing green into the figures will make it not as dimensional. Amazing job! ❤
I think maybe to do a subtle green in the characters you can put a clover in on of their hairs i feel like it would be cute. But I think it looks amazing and perfect on its own
Perfect timing! I started my first painting in years yesterday, and am fighting through the ugly phase (and relearning how to make the most of cheap acrylics 😅).
I love that you chose that moment to turn into a painting. What made you choose it? I can tell the creator camp really impacted you positively! Hope I can join one in my area too
I bought watercolor supplies like 5 months ago and have barely touched them because I'm afraid of being bad at watercolor. But this video is definitely helping inspire me to pick them up. :)
I love that you get the inspiration from a real experience! I love the painting especially the detailed leaves clovers. The whole video made me want to paint again! Thanks ❤💚🍃
suuuch a cool intro!! and the painting is looking amazing, I'm loving the contrast btwn the green fluff and the red silhouettes. this was such a well-produced video!!
This got me inspired to open Logic and start working on a new track even though it's daunting. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful inspiring artist!
This painting is lovely Tiffany! I've had a couple of bigger canvas that have been in the corner of my room also...and watching this video has now inspired me to start painting again!
You could try using some image editing software to swap out the colours on the red jumper and the red/brown shorts. To find something more cohesive with the greenery. It's already a really nice painting.
Starting is the worst. Once I start though, I don't want to stop. 😂 I think the painting looks good as is. If you feel you need to add green to tie it together, add little green earrings to the person or put a green hem on the shirt. Something small to tie it together. Either way, thats a huge canvas and it came out really nice. 🍀
Tiffany u always amaze me. Really cool style and colors. I’m trying to start a portrait painting myself. Scary shit. But u inspired me so planning today! If u got any advice send my way
I love love love this painting. Please offer art prints of this painting in the original size. This is gorgeous. I'd love to frame and hang it up in my living room. It is so simple yet so profound. I really liked your inspiration image. It's lovely. And I think you did a really good job with the clovers. I loved watching you progress in this painting. Generally I'd love to see more painting process videos like this. I'm also so excited how you will finish it up. Please make a follow-up video for the painting. Thank you for the video. I got super excited when I saw in the thumbnail that you were gonna paint a large piece.
i have a bunch of blank canvases that stares at me. I got adhd so its so difficult to get started or to put your vision down on it x_x Your painting is amazing as your videos are. Cheers!!!
Hello, I haven't been able to take action on the drawing I want to do for a few days. Watching your video was motivation for me. That's why I wanted to thank you here too 🫶🤍
I’m an artist, but I never really paint. The last time I painted was probably in 2021 I bought a canvas and paints recently so I can start painting but it’s been sitting in my room for weeks now. Maybe it’s because I have a fear I’d fail since I’ve never been good with anything that has to do with a paint and a brush
Procrastinating my huge project by watching this video...I want to create my own visual novel/video game, but am so afraid that it won't work out. I'm afraid it will all fail, then I will have to go back to my 9-5 accounting career. But it's time to just push those fears away and start! Thank you so much for giving me the inspiration necessary. If you ever hear of the game PRISMARA, then know that my huge project made it, and that you were part in helping create it!
This is probably my favorite painting by you. It’s more emotional and deep than some of your other works while still holding close to your style and whimsical touch. (⌒▽⌒)♡𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘
Honestly, I feel like if you try to tie the green in with the red figures you’ll mess up the balance. I think it’s perfect exactly the way it is.
hmm I might just keep it then!
agreed, I like the contrast
Green and red are complementary colours so it doesn't really makes sense to say the painting is unbalanced. It's so cool and unique as it is ✨💪🏻
i love the contrast of the harsh green and harsh red!!! im a sucker for complimentary colors though, LOL
the way you left the figures just in red shades was what drew me in, it looks amazing!!
Love this piece!!! And i actually really like the red as is!
Thank you ;-;
Was just thinking how much you'd love this sha'an!

It will be so worth it! I always have a hard time starting paintings too, but once I get into it I can’t stop :)
Congrats on the new job!
The intro was amazing 😍 it was so cool to see you make those tiny decisions in the details that make the whole painting what it is. Like the shading of the four leaf clover 🤯
Thank you !!! Everything is very instinctual so that’s what made this painting so fun ✨
This intro is the best intro I’ve ever seen Lol it was so dramatic and I love it
Hehehe thanks!!
this is like a small film i love it
Ah! I love that two amazing online artists support each other! Go you! ❤️

This video felt so "film-like." So good ❤❤❤

Your editing never ceases to amaze me :,)
Thank you 🫶🏻
I loved the red and green contrast, especially the red shown in the middle with the clovers!! It all comes together for me
now remembering the two big canvases I bought two years ago and I feel called out 🥺
Now they’ll become something beautiful :3

I have to remind myself all the time that it's just art! 😁💖
The fact this piece was referenced by a memory makes it twice as gorgeous, i love it so much
Per, is so cute waiting for her food at the table hehe, I love the sketching process of the painting
I’m at a real strugglebus stage with one of my first commissions (for a family member)so it’s a helpful reminder to be kind and patient with the progress I’m making. I wish I had close artist friends to noodle ideas with too 😅

I think this is piece is already perfect as it is.The colors really draw me in.I aspire to have a similar art style
I seriously love that you did a red wash as the background!!! I’m obsessed and super inspired ❤️ thanks for sharing the personal big canvas painting journey 🙏🏻
