Great videos, I have learned a ton of great tips from you. Thank you! ....Canva Tip-When you need to move a element, fonts etc. Just enlarge your work area. You were working at 24%, increase it to 100% to get the most accurate spacing and then just reduce it back to normal. Just wanted to give some AZ love.
great tutorial but you missed a couple steps that would be very helpful to some. 1. normally on cricut design space, you have to choose "print then cut or cut image". How did you go straight from upload to the canvas with the printing on the dust cover. If I choose "cut image" it shows up as all black. If I choose print then cut, It acts like a sticker and wants me to print on my printer which Im not doing. 2. how did you get you wick hole to be a transparent hole? You went from black on canva, then on design space its a transparent hole. I cannot get that transparent hole and it would be nice to know how you did it. Thanks.
Yes I hope you can help me because I did exactly what you said to do png times 2 download .but design space will not allow cont it wants me to replace the image . I'm assuming it's low quality so how do I fix that
Can anyone share how you get the wick hole to cut in Cricut? I've done all the necessary steps, and it printed & cut well, except for the wick hole. The slice option is not available when I highlight the entire design. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial - I found it very helpful but just one question, what are you doing to make sure the center hole is cut out by the cricut? When I tried it failed to cut the center hole. I am not sure if I need to add and slice in cricut design or if there is another trick. Again, thanks for the video!
Hi! Sorry for the late reply! You can use the "slice" option in the bottom right corner in design space after highlighting the design :) hope that helps!
@@feliciam1991 if u go over and put a shape over it like I did a rectangle because I use wooden wicks.. so in cruicut design space go pick shape place it over the wick spot then highlight all of design and on the bottom right hand corner is a thing called splice click that it should work
@@tonnyajuhnke4727 Hey thanks! I use wooden also. I could get it to slice unless I had a design attached to the entire dust cover…then it would just mess up the design.
Great information. I am trying to decide which cricut machine to purchase for candle labels and dust covers. I noticed you mentioned cricut maker 3 and cricut explorer air 2? Do you have both? If so which one do you prefer for labels and dustcovers? Thank you
I have the 3 and it is awesome for dust covers. I'm not sure about the 2 for dust covers specifically as I've only used the 3 for dust covers. I hope that helps :)
Thank you im trying g to do this with just my cricut but it hates me no mater what I do it won't cut the scented! I'm going to load the canva and see if your way works!! Thank you

For Cricut to cut the wick centre: make sure in canva you click on the wick cut shape and move it to the front. Then once saved (transparent background) upload to canva, next, once it show in the preview, click on the centre and erase :)
I tried to flatten but it says not supported by explorer 3. Also, I am trying to print 4 dust covers on one page but when I press "make it" only 2 go on the page and the project is split up into 2 prints. It's consuming because it fits the page so I'm not sure why it cant print all 4.
Love all of your content, very helpful! Question - which wick has worked best for you in those concrete containers you show in this vid? I'm using the same vessels with 464 and having trouble finding the right size. Thanks!
I would really love some help as I just purchased a Cricut and need help based off of this tutorial. You show in canva that you created a black circle in the centre but once that image is transferred to cricut, cricut does not cut out the centre I really need help on this.
After you download your image from Canva and upload it to Cricut design space, you'll get an option for image type - click moderately complex. On the next page, you'll simply click on your black circle and it should cut it out :)
@@katinkenbrandt7845 I appreciate the help but this did not work.......am I missing a step? I cannot click the black dot, it selects the entire image. Sorry I'm such a newb.
@@lippymommy No worries! I am myself just trying to figure things out :) At the Background Remover section (after you selected Moderately Complex), click on "Select" in under the "Manual". Then it should remove your black center after you click on it. If it doesn't work, you can click on "Erase" instead of "Select" an erase you black center manually - you can adjust the size of the eraser so it should be fairly easy.
We are in the same cement group and I really love ur work! Ive been making jars for the past 5 months now and love it! Can I ask what video editor do you use for videos? Ty Shelley
You can always design this on canva and then print it on cardstock and cut out by hand. Or you can get them printed at a print shop and ask to be cut into your shape. :)
@HeyItsJessie that's awesome! Can you link or comment her/his store here so if anyone else is looking they can check them out? I love supporting other small businesses ❤️
Hi! Thanks for watching! If the Wick section isn't cutting you can highlight the design and use the "slice" option in the right bottom corner of design space :) I hope that helps!
Should've seen your video a year ago. I've purchased templates from etsy and watched others, but your video is easy, and I appreciate that!

Here looking for answers on #2 as well!
The video is great but I cannot get the wick circle to show as the background colour or cut out with the Cricut. What am I doing wrong?
I am having the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to get your wick hole cut out?

Question on the 2x bigger it that that size you adjust

this was so helpful thank you, How can i do this for 3 wick candles
Awesome! You would just make the dust cover have 3 sections for the wicks and evenly seperate them :)

I've heard of people using seed paper or just a thicker cardstock:)
Can you use seed paper with a cricut machine?
