    What a great video and what a lovely voice you have. So soothing. You have a plethora of knowledge and any candle maker would learn a ton just from this video alone. I don't let my dog in my studio as well. Love it!

    Love your video - just getting in to trying to make cement vessels and this was just such a good overview of workflow. Really makes it look much simpler than many others I've watched. As for your work surface, I use mainly stainless steel tables for my candle making too. They're great. But i still generally cover them with a large sheet of butcher paper before I work, taped to keep it on the table. Then after the session, I can just throw that away - no need for wasting rolls of paper towel and the constant cleaning. Im thinking that will keep the cement off as well - guess I'll find out this weekend !

    The laser looks great! I love the look and the dust covers are nice, especially with the concrete vessels. To me, they look better without the labels. The etching brings it to a whole other level.

    I loved your tour of your craft room! You had your comments turned off. I hope no one was being rude. I thought it was beautiful and the white on the walls was absolutely beautiful and it brightened it up so much. I love how much space you have so everything can be put in its spot and you don’t have to dig to get to it. I thought it was a Makers dream studio!

    Great video! I’m curious about your refill program and how that works. I also use the same glue to adhere the wicks. What’s the process for when they return the vessel for refills? I would think this glue would be tough to get out. I’m curious about the whole process. Thanks for sharing!

    Hello Tracie, just wanted to say I just found your channel last week and absolutely love it. I am just learning about candle making and your videos are so helpful in helping me understand the industry before I get started and invest any money. I loved hearing about your refill program and how you let your customers know that their vessels are nearing their end. With that in mind I was wondering if you had any experience with making dust covers out of seed paper? I would like to see these beautiful vessels have a life beyond candles besides storing q-tips, pens etc. Have you tried seed paper? Is it worth the investment? Is this something the average customer might enjoy? Thank you and keep up the awesome videos!

      Thank you Daran and welcome 😊 Oh yesssss, I have plans to make ALL my dust covers from seed paper. I’m absolutely obsessed with them. In fact, I have already started a bunch of recordings on how to make your own, start to finish, that will be printed on seed paper. Great minds think alike 😉 keep watching. And thanks for the comments 😌

    Hi there! Love your work !!!!
    I was wondering if sealing the vessels stops scratches. I have pretty long nails and as I de mold I notice some scratches on the vessels I’m wondering if I did something wrong or how to get rid of it

    • @brewmillcandlecompany
      @brewmillcandlecompany  Год назад

      First THANK YOU 😊 and second…hmmm…do you waterbathe your vessels after de-moulding? I feel if your nails scratch the vessel while de-moulding, they’d be surface scratches that would dissipate in the waterbath. To be honest this is new to me, my nails don’t touch my vessels while de-moulding the way I roll them with the meaty part of my hands…but everyone has their own technique so I can see how this could happen. Can you try adjusting your technique to avoid nails touching vessel? To answer your question, I would think the sealant should make it disappear? I’m gonna test this. Totally new but I’m intrigued. 😄

    That funnel is the best. Nothing worse than a wax spill on the concrete. You can get it off with a heat gun an isopropyl but it's pretty much not worth the work. Where did you get it?

    Great overall video, but I have to say something because it's more often than not stated wrong here on RUclips. Your vessels are made of cement, not concrete. They are not interchangeable words. You even said you used CementAll. Cement is a component of concrete. Concrete is cement, sand, an aggregate such as gravel, and water.

    • @mikelang4191
      @mikelang4191 Год назад

      Cementall is concrete. It's a rapid setting, high strength modified concrete for repair work. The list of ingredients includes cement, sieved aggregate and several other add mixtures including super plasticizers and accelerators.
      It's great stuff and it's by definition, concrete. 🙂
