Made the mistake of not switching to heat mode when we hit the forties overnight. Woke up to 65°.in my home. Delayed my shower until my house defrosted. Love from the Space Coast. Go Cocoa Tigers!

Having lived in Fl I understand your pain. Now, due to family matters I am back in Ct. The highest our heat is set at is 63 degrees. It's freezing so I stay in bed as long as I can then bundle up and find a sunny window to drink my tea. I miss Fl so much.

I grew up in South Florida. We moved to Tallahassee in 2015. I freeze to death here in the winter!🥶 Especially when we had that arctic blast at Christmas, last year. A few nights had lows around 16°. Florida is not supposed to get that cold!🥶😆
People do not understand the fact that when it’s 40 degrees and the wind is bringing straight Gulf moisture in that it will cut you like a knife! Experienced that in Auburn, AL, and it made for some of the most miserable winters because you know we weren’t getting a snow day and I still had to walk to class in it every time. I bet it’s the same deal in Florida! At least in Memphis, you do occasionally get a snow day.
Those lizards go into a state of torpor until it gets warmer. You are totally correct. The cold does not kill them. ❤

Listen, I lived in central Alaska before I moved to central FL, I never thought I would ever be cold again. Come a year later and I'm all bundled up in 60 degree weather and when it was in the 40s I was doing a whole lotta nothin. Florida will get you. I don't live there anymore, but I KNOW.

Hello from Alaska. We're nuts but you guys still hold the crazy crown. I'm just gonna say, it gets so cold in Fairbanks that the MOOSE FREEZE. They hold perfectly still starting about forty or fifty below. Then they come back to life.
40 to 50 below? Oh, hell no.

At least moose don't fall out of trees but then iguana don't weigh 2000 pounds either so there is that
